Golden Estate.
On the plain where the ‘door’ was located, all the troops of the Human Coalition Army were standing by.
The Golden Estate’s vast and flat plain was the most suitable for cavalry battles. However, this time, the Human Coalition Army was not forming an arrow formation that was most suitable for cavalry assaults, but a wild goose formation composed of several big phalanxes.
This was a battle formation that spread out horizontally. The formations of the left and right wings were arranged like the word ‘V’. The cavalries were placed on the 2 wings. This formation could not only exert the power of the 2-wing cavalries, but it could also effectively protect 2 wings and the rear that was relatively weak. However, this ‘weakness’ was only relative to the goose formation. After all, this was the home field of the Human Coalition Army, the Golden Estate. Not only were there various ordnances such as catapults and magic crystal cannons in the rear, but there were also more hidden reserve forces that were ready to be dispatched at any time; the ‘weakness’ had become a strength full of traps.
The number of troops participating in the battle this time was about 800,000. In terms of quantity, it was only a small part of the total strength of the Human Coalition Army, but it was already the most suitable combat force that this plain could accommodate. Furthermore, these 800,000 people were the most elite troops in the coalition army, and they were also equipped with the best weapons.
The 2 wings were composed of heavy cavalries. In the left wing, the knights and the horses were all equipped with sturdy armor. The knight’s armor also had light and tough cloth armor, which could further enhance the defense. In addition to the long sword, every cavalry was equipped with a 5-meter-long knight spear. The tip of this huge knight spear was a special armor-piercing blade, which could easily pierce through thick armor. The spear was not made of metal, but special hardwood. It was not to save cost, but because this kind of the knight spear was extremely powerful. These well-trained knights could easily pierce a thick wall with the powerful horsepower, but this also had a disadvantage. The knight gun could not be retracted after piercing the enemy. It would not only sprain or even fracture the knight’s wrist and arm, but it would also affect the follow-up charge of the follow-up troops. Therefore, the knight’s spear was a consumable weapon, but the damage caused by this consumable weapon was also the most terrifying weapon on this plain terrain. There was almost nothing that could stop the charge of a heavy cavalry head-on.
The core army of the heavy cavalries was the most elite Dragon Claw Knight Legion of the Dragon Bright Empire. The commander was Legion Commander Tristan. As the strongest front, Tristan showed a calmness that was completely different from his usual irascibility on the battlefield.
The heavy cavalries of the right wing were the bear cavalries of the hobbit family. The war bears raised were even more ferocious and mighty. Their momentum could easily destroy the fighting spirit of ordinary mounts. Bear cavalries were best at fighting in mountains, and it was far more powerful than ordinary cavalry on plains. In addition to the bear cavalries, the commander of the hobbit was the Young Mountain Hobbit King Ovge. In addition to the cavalries, there were also 2 major infantry legions, large shield warriors and giant ax warriors. The hobbits were brave and good at fighting, and they had a considerable talent for resisting magic. Together with the weapons and equipment of forging skills, they could be called 1 of the most powerful infantry on the entire battlefield.
The reason why it was ‘1 of’ was because there was another race, orcs, with the same terrifying or even superior combat ability.
It was well known that the orcs were warlike and powerful. At the beginning, the Orc Empire was a powerful existence that all human countries had to unite to fight against. However, after the internal strife, the orcs encountered a trough of prosperity and decline and gradually withdrew from the political arena. They retreated and lived in the Nightmare Wilderness, which was under harsh conditions. They were almost wiped out by the Holy Church a few years ago. This time, they unexpectedly volunteered to join the Human Coalition Army. Among these orcs, there were also the strongest Beamon warriors, who could transform into the Beamon Giant Beast that had the same power as the giant dragon..
The equipment of this group of orcs was different from the past. They were no longer equipped with ordinary wooden sticks or leather armor, but heavy metal flails, hammers and other heavy weapons. They wear silver chain armor, which could effectively reduce long-range damage. These equipment were allocated by Lex the Great, but this ‘benefit’ was not for nothing. In today’s battle, the orcs would be the first commandos to charge, so they might also be the first cannon fodders to die.
If this battle wasn’t too important, the orcs wouldn’t be able to obtain these equipment at all.
Compared with the big and rough ‘barbarians’ like the hobbit and orcs, the elf tribe looked elegant and beautiful, but no one dared to underestimate these handsome men and beauties. They were recognized as the most terrifying long-range attackers on the battlefield.
In addition to the excellent long-range shooting skills, the elves also had a powerful magician team and a very powerful sword guard legion.
The commander of the elf tribe was Princess Royal Philly. Even Little Princess Michelle participated in the war. If there was no accident, these were the only 2 daughters of Elf Empress Liv, and 1 of them would become the next elf empress. It was very likely that this war was an important assessment and training for the future empress, so this time the elf tribe changed its attitude of watching the battle in the past and sent a huge army with a total of 4 legions: Magic archer legion, magic spear legion, magician legion, sword guard legion.
The dragons, the old allies of the Dragon Bright Empire, also dispatched elite forces. In addition to the dragon knight legion of the Dragon Bright Empire, there were also a group of powerful dragons. At present, no one knew where these dragons were hiding for an ambush or they had transformed into human form and mixed among ordinary soldiers. This would be a hidden killing move.
Even without the ‘foreign aid’ of the 4 major races, the military power of the original human world was equally powerful. The highest commander Lex the Great was located at the bottom of the ‘V’, so he could command the changes of the 2 wings easily. There was also the strongest united griffon legion behind. Their strength was inferior to the dragon knight legion, but their number far exceeded the dragon knight legion. They would become the most important combat power in the air.
Not long ago, Lex the Great did a mobilization before the war. The provocative speech made everyone’s blood boil. The fighting spirit and morale were unprecedentedly high, just waiting for the war to begin.
While waiting, the enemy finally came.
The light of the ‘door’ flashed, and groups of figures appeared in the vision of the Human Coalition Army.
Cavalries.
All black cavalries.
The black demonic horses, black armor, and black knights formed a stark contrast with the cavalries on the opposite wings.
However, the armor of these black knights seemed to be relatively weak, and they didn’t have the knight spears for charging. They just carried bows on their backs and scimitars in their hands.
Lex the Great and many commanders were stunned. Not the heavy armor beast cavalries as per the intel, but... light cavalries?
In this kind of terrain where there isn’t much space for running and fighting, how can they send so many light cavalries?
In a head-to-head confrontation, light cavalries and heavy cavalries are not on the same level at all. Is there something wrong with the brains of the demons? Or is it that they don’t even understand the most basic intel of the Golden Estate?
As the left wing heavy cavalry commander of the Human Coalition Army, Tristan clearly saw that the commander on the black horse in the front was the demon messenger that day, Francis! Thinking of Lex the Great’s encouragement for him to cut off the opponent’s head with his own hands, Tristan couldn’t help but clenched the sword in his hand.
If the Human Coalition Army attacked now, they could easily crush these light cavalries, but Lex the Great did not order an attack. No one acted rashly, because everyone knew that this was just the tip of the iceberg of the demon army.
More and more black light cavalries entered the Golden Estate, forming a black arrow formation. It seemed that the demons really planned to use these light cavalries to charge in front.
Behind the light cavalries, the types of troops finally changed. The 2 wings of the arrow formation were huge square shields, which were 4 meters high and looked very heavy. At least 3 soldiers were required to operate them. Layers of giant shields affected the vision, so no one knew what was hidden behind them.
The next core formation was the infantry unit. The most conspicuous ones were the taurens wearing heavy armor and holding huge battle axes in their hands. The taurens were the best blacksmiths in the Demon Realm, and they were also extremely powerful soldiers. Their forging skills and combat power were not inferior to the hobbit on the human world.
The formation next to the taurens were medusas and black elves. There were very few medusas in the human world. Their names were often associated with words such as ‘petrify’, ‘snake demon’, and ‘devil’. This was the first time they had seen so many fully armed medusas. The bow skills of the medusas were astonishing. Even if they could not match the elves, they were far better than ordinary archers. The dark elves were called fallen elves. Their appearance had caused a strong killing intent of the elf warriors of the Silver Moon Celestial of Capital. What burned the elves’ fighting spirit even more was that these fallen elves held the same magic rifles as their own.
More and more phalanxes appeared. The overall arrow formation was still maintained. That was to say, the entire army of demons was a giant arrow, which meant: Attack! Attack! And attack!
The final row of huge figures caused a commotion in the Human Coalition Army.
These were huge human figures that were about 9 meters tall. Their whole body was made of dark golden metal. The eyes were shining with light blue light. Some people couldn’t help exclaiming, “Assemble puppets!”
The army in the magic game ‘Infinite Warrior OL’. The demons actually made this kind of war weapon! And there are at least 1,000 of them!
If this kind of big guy really has the power in the game, then it is almost equal to... 1,000 giant dragons!
The formations of the 2 sides had been set up. On the plain, a goose formation with 2 wings and an arrow were facing each other from a distance. This was the strongest confrontation that the 2 worlds were waiting.
Today might be a crucial day that would change the 2 worlds.
Compared with this great war, the simultaneous eruption of the Nightmare Volcano was just an ‘insignificant’ small event. However, almost no one knew that this was the existence that would really change the world.
The erupting crater was like a roaring demon, spewing out countless violent blood red. Puffs of thick smoke shot up into the sky, connecting with the red sky. The suffocating air was filled with the scorching heat of destruction as countless lava quickly flowed on the violently trembling ground.
In the red sky, a diamond-shaped pattern vaguely appeared like an eye about to open, looking down at the destruction spreading everywhere.
It also looked down at the figure in the cloak who barely stood up with the crutch.
The originally white hands of the figure in the cloak had become wrinkled. He was tremblingly holding the cracked dead wooden crutch. This wooden crutch, like his whole body, might break at any time.
The man in the cloak lowered his head, panted, and did not look up at the sky, but in his soul feeling, the diamond-shaped eye was gradually becoming clear from phantom to materialized. The eye slowly opened. This was a pupil burning with flames. The vision was full of absolute destruction and hatred.
In the sky, near the diamond shape, red lightning began to shine. The man in the cloak squinted his eyes and subconsciously looked at the scorching crater. In the center of the high-speed erupting lava, a flame was slowly rising. This flame was like a flower, slowly blooming layer by layer. In the center of the flame, the blood color became thicker and thicker as it condensed into a human figure.
The naked body of a woman.
At first glance, the bumpy figure looked very attractive, but upon closer inspection, it was chillingly terrifying.
The long red hair fluttered in the flames, the dark red skin was covered with cobweb-like patterns, the cracks in the patterns showed a burning golden color, the nails on her hands were very long, and the slightly curved arcs showed an incomparably sharp edge. On the outline of the delicate face was a pair of strange eyes. The eyes had been opened like the ‘eye’ in the man in the cloak’s mind.
TL: Why did the man in cloak want to summonthe Abyss?
