Chapter 469 - Broc’s Plot
As soon as the cloak man said so, the 4 people in the house were shocked.
“Young General Monroe, do you remember the Flame Legion’s sword match? That time, you lost to Legion Commander Athena within a minute, so you chose to go to Flame Region instead of our Red Blood Region.”
The match was conducted internally. Only a few leaders knew it. Monroe looked at the cloak man and nodded slightly.
Chen Rui glanced at Fini again, “Ms. Fini, how is your father, Master Rummenigge? I rescued him from the Crystal Valley last time.”
Even fewer people knew about this. Fini was taken aback, and then she saluted earnestly, “It seems that it is really Sir Aguile. Thank you for saving his father’s life. Unfortunately, I can only express my gratitude in this way. ”
With Monroe and Fini’s confirmation, at least the man in cloak in front of them was not a chaser of the Dark Shadow Empire. Feyman’s vigilant expression eased a bit, “You’re Aguile, the powerhouse who defeated the Red Spirit Lord Josh and killed the capital envoy, Rus, in the Dark Moon’s war of lords?”
Chen Rui nodded, “Sir has overpraised me. My strength has not yet reached the intermediate stage of the Demon Emperor. That battle was just a fluke.
An odd expression appeared in Calder’s eyes, “Why are you here?”
Chen Rui glanced at Fini, “I came to escort Young General Monroe and Ms. Fini on the order of Princess Shea. The Dark Moon will provide shelter for both of you.”
The so-called “Princess Shea’s order” was naturally false, but with Chen Rui’s current relationship with Shea, this level of doing before informing was not a problem. Not to mention that it was beneficial to the Dark Moon.
Monroe was taken aback, “How did Princess Shea know I’m here?”
“Don’t underestimate the ability of the Dark Moon.” Chen Rui said lightly, “Your empire will not want an incompetent ally.”
Chen Rui’s words had directly elevated the Dark Moon to the status of an ally of the Dark Shadow Empire. Calder was the first to express his opposition, “If this is the case, then Princess Shea will definitely hand over the young general and Ms. Fini to Her Majesty Empress as a so-called ally gift!”
“Young General Monroe is currently a wanted criminal in the Dark Shadow Empire. If Princess Shea is the lord of the Dark Shadow Empire, then she can only agree to arrest all of you like General Crawford. However, Princess Shea is the top lord in the Fallen Angel Empire who is also the future controller of the Lucifer Royal Family. She is not subject to your country’s restraint. Sir Monroe is now the high rank counselor of the Flame Legion and the commander of the magician legion. This appointment is still not revoked after Princess Shea received news that the young general was wanted.”
Chen Rui’s words were obviously half-truth and half-false, and he added a sensational sentence, “What’s more, in addition to the cooperation of the estate, Princess Shea and General Crawford have deep personal relationships. After all, your father only has one son.”
Monroe trembled. He held Fini’s hand tightly again. Feyman was silent, but Calder still said in disbelief, “These are just fancy words. Don’t think about deceiving the young general. How do guarantee our safety?”
“I’m here with the greatest sincerity.” Chen Rui snorted and said, “If Princess Shea doesn’t really attach importance and respect to young general, it is not me who came here, but a Demon Overlord powerhouse to capture you.”
These words were not bragging. During the auction in the Dark Moon, 2 Demon Overlord powerhouses were captured and killed in the blink of an eye. The Dark Moon definitely had such background and strength.
Chen Rui immediately said, “Princess Shea had always done what she said. There is no doubt of her sincerity. However, this matter should not be revealed because it is the key moment of cooperation between the Dark Moon Estate and the Dark Shadow Empire. It is also not suitable for young general to immediately return to the Flame Legion in the Dark Moon City. It’s better for all of you to follow me to the Walan Fortress, the base of Mountain Xilang’s Moon Shadow Legion, to hide for a while, and wait for the situation to calm down.”
Even Feyman nodded as soon as he said this. If Shea really wanted to please her allies, she would send a Demon Overlord powerhouse directly to catch the 4 of them. There was no need for such troubles.
Monroe was initially desperate. When he heard that the Dark Moon was willing to take him in during the times of crisis, he immediately showed gratitude, “Then thank you, Sir Aguile! Since Princess Royal Highness has not given up on me, an outsider, in such critical times, then I will swear to officially join the Dark Moon and shed my last drop of blood for Princess Royal!”
“Don’t worry.” Chen Rui nodded, “I have a relationship with the Legion Commander Tim of Walan Fortress. I will ask him to take special care of you. Take a rest for a while first.”
There were several considerations for Chen Rui to take in Monroe. Not only was he the only commander that could mobilize the magician legion, but Catherine’s order of granting Fini to Btoc was really intended to deal with Broc. Broc would be eliminated sooner or later. By that time, Monroe’s incident would definitely be downplayed or even “redressed.” Regardless of whether Crawford’s only son would return to the Bloody Vine Flower Estate, he would give the Dark Moon more support and help.
Monroe’s own potential was extraordinary, coupled with Fini’s father, Rummenigge, this effort was still very worthwhile.
In addition to these interests, Chen Rui also had the will to pair up this loving couple deep down.
When Calder saw Monroe and Feyman both agreed, he no longer opposed it. Fini also felt relieved. Chen Rui learned from the 4 that when Monroe “kidnapped” Fini, their whereabouts were somehow exposed. They were chased by the Fire Blade Legion’s General Loki. If it weren’t for Crawford who arranged his 3 strongest subordinates to secretly protect Monroe, Monroe had died in Loki’s hands.
Loki’s strength was very powerful. He had reached the peak stage of the Demon Emperor. He had the strongest combat power under Broc. The 3 guards teamed up and still lost to him. Torres of the intermediate stage of the Demon Emperor died. Feyman, who was also the intermediate stage of the Demon Emperor, was seriously injured, and the remaining Calder at the early stage of the Demon Emperor was also slightly injured. Finally, they desperately protected Monroe and Fini from the danger.
After deciding to set off in the night time, Chen Rui found Celine and settled in Alice ahead of time. He just sent the 4 to the Walan Fortress this time. It was inconvenient to take Alice along, and he could not reveal the princess identity of the little loli. After the 4 were settled, he would rush back to the Town Leia from the Walan Fortress to obtain those seeds, then he brought the little loli back to the Dark Moon City.
As the night fell, there was a deep chill in the whining night wind. The purple moonlight stretched the shadows of the 5 people on the road.
These people were Chen Rui, Monroe and others. They successfully passed the border checkpoint and entered the Fallen Angel Empire border. Although the road in front of them was a bustling trade route, there were no other people during late night. It looked extremely quiet.
At this moment, Chen Rui, at the end of the team, suddenly stopped and pulled Monroe as well as Fini. Feyman and Calder at the front were also alert. A figure was blocking the way ahead.
This figure was burly and vicious-looking. He wore a black half-body metal armor, and the cloak behind him fluttered in the cold wind.
Feyman shook, and there were flames all over his body. With a scream, he was on fire. Calder had already drawn out his long sword and said furiously, “Loki!”

It turns out that this is Loki. I didn’t expect him to actually appear here at this moment to block everyone!
Feyman gritted his teeth and said, “Aguile, Calder, you protect the young general and the young lady and go first, I will hold him!”
As soon as he finished speaking, a sudden change occurred. Feyman’s figure trembled, and a bloody sword tip protruded from his right chest. Fortunately, his instinctive reaction caused him to avoid the vital points at the critical moment. His heart was not injured, but this lung lobe was severely injured from this stab.
Feyman swung back with all his strength while roaring, and the tip of the sword in his chest as well as the sword user disappeared in an instant. Feyman’s furious hit missed, and he suffered even more serious injuries. He knelt on the ground unsteadily as the blood constantly overflowed from his chest with a hint of purple. This was not the effect of the moonlight, but it was poison!
Calder’s figure appeared in front of Loki. With a strange smile on his face, the sword in his hand was dripping with blood— the blood of his “partner”.
“Calder!” Feyman yelled with hatred. He finally understood why their escape route was exposed to Loki which cost Torres’ life. Loki once again appeared on their only way “in time” and stopped everyone now.
The change was too abrupt. Even Chen Rui didn’t have the time to rescue Feyman. It turns out that Calder is a spy. No wonder he opposed Monroe staying in the Dark Moon.
“Calder!” Until now, Monroe still didn’t understand the reason. He gritted his teeth and helped Feyman up, “You ungrateful shameless man! My father even saved your life and treated you like a confidant.”
“The so-called confidant is just a guard with no future. It is different if I follow General Broc.” Calder sneered, “So, I’ve already belonged to General Broc’s side long ago.”
“Even if I die, I won’t let you take Fini away!” Monroe guarded Fini with a greatsword in his hand.
“In the beginning, I didn’t intend to keep you alive including Fini.” Loki spoke up. His gaze showed a bloodthirsty cruel expression, “Poor little bug, you don’t understand yet that marrying Fini is a trap. It is part of the general’s smart trick to dissolve the emperor’s plan. “Calder deliberately instigated you to take this woman away. Not only will your old father, Crawford, be affected by this, but as long as your body appears in the Dark Moon, then the cooperation between the Dark Moon and Bloody Vine Flower Estate and even the Dark Shadow Empire will be severely impacted...”
Chen Rui frowned. It seems that all of this is Broc’s plot. He actually wants to take advantage of the situation to make the Dark Moon a scapegoat.
Loki turned his gaze to the frightened Fini. There was a hint of licentiousness in his gaze, “Although I’m not interested in marrying this woman, I don’t mind playing with her before killing her.
Monroe was furious while Fini was trembling with fright. She held an item in her hand, ready to commit suicide at any time. She would rather die than to be tainted by the enemy.
Feyman was heavily injured and eroded by that poison. Knowing that his words would fall to deaf ears at this time, he just accumulated his strength to prepare for the final dying blow.
“Wait a minute,” Chen Rui said, “You guys seem to forget something?”
“Oh?” The breath of power in Loki’s body gradually spread out. The strong pressure made Monroe, who was only Higher Demon, almost breathless, “Are you emphasizing your existence? You are just a garbage at the early stage of the Demon Emperor. Soon, you will turn into flying ash. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have attacked in advance here.”
Once Chen Rui and the others returned to the fortress or the Dark Moon City, they were likely to be protected by a Demon Overlord powerhouse. Even Loki dare not simply make a move.
“Really?” Chen Rui remained calm. There were any signs of power fluctuations.
“It’s useless to be mysterious. I have already seen through your strength. You are just an early stage of the Demon Emperor.” Calder smiled disdainfully, “General Loki is not comparable to Josh, the pampered aristocratic master. He is the strongest Demon Emperor in the Fire Blade Legion. He has a lot of combat experience. Even if 2 peak stage of the Demon Emperors of the same realm join forces, they are not his opponents! Maybe there is no need for General Loki to fight personally, even I can turn you into a corpse.”
“The strongest Demon Emperor? So Broc has now surpassed the Demon Emperor level? I’m surprised that after the previous injury, he was still alive. He even had a breakthrough? Maybe there is a special reason...” Chen Rui said lightly, “In any case, the intel you revealed has a certain reference value.”
The previous injury? Loki and Calder looked at each other. They were secretly surprised, and they asked, “Who on earth are you?”
Chen Rui did not answer, but he suddenly flicked his hands. Monroe and Fini felt a strong force and passed out. Chen Rui then appeared in front of Feyman instantly. Feyman thought Chen Rui was also a spy, but he was helpless since he was severely injured. His ability was greatly reduced, and he was stunned by a single blow.
This move was far beyond the expectations of the 2 enemies. Calder snorted, “What are you up to? Even if it is so, don’t dream of surviving!”
“I just don’t want them to see some things, but both of you are exceptions because... the dead will not reveal any secrets.”
“Shameless bullshit!” Calder rushed toward Chen Rui. At this moment, his line of sight suddenly burst into light. The man in the cloak flashed with incomparably dazzling light. Even the 2 purple moons paled in comparison to this star-like brilliance.
Calder’s thrusting figure was repelled by a powerful force. His body flew back upside down uncontrollably, and he fell to the ground haggardly.
The light gradually diminished. A figure wearing a full set of armor appeared in front of Calder and Loki. This armor had a simple appearance with a little soft light flowing like a stardust.
When Loki felt the strength of that breath, he seemed vigilant. He gathered the power in his body frantically.
As soon as Calder got up from the ground, he felt a spark in front of him. The armored man had appeared in front of him, and his throat was tightened. He was already held by the opponent. With the strength of his early stage of the Demon Emperor, he did not have the strength to resist.
A large number of flowing fiery clouds appeared around Calder. The surrounding space seemed to turn into a burning world. Calder obviously activated his trump card territory power at a critical juncture.
However, it was still useless.
The fiery clouds seemed to be impacted by some kind of scorching force, and they suddenly became very weak. Then, the palm covered with armor just applied a little force, and Calder heard the sound of his neck being snapped. Almost at the same time, a terrifying force penetrated through his body. Not only that, his will instantly collapsed; he completely lost his consciousness.
Chen Rui let go of him, and Calder collapsed to the ground like the mud. In the [Summer Territory] activated with the [Royal Star Transformation], the soul of the villain who betrayed his benefactor and brothers was completely annihilated in the blink of an eye.
Wasn’t Broc severely injured by Chen Rui and Isabella back then? He got even more powerful again?
