Chapter 517 - Mysterious Alchemy Being
Chapter 517: Mysterious Alchemy Being
“Honorable Queen Medusa Royal Highness, I think you have misunderstood. My name is Chen Rui and I’m not here for the snake blood fruit. The reason for the conflict with the medusas is because they attacked me first. Despite this, I still did not really hurt them. If there is any offense, please forgive me, Queen Royal Highness.” Chen Rui left the controlled Great Demon King medusa and walked to Queen Medusa. He put his right hand on his chest, slightly bowed, and performed the medusa’s etiquette.
This etiquette made Queen Medusa stunned. She stared at Chen Rui for a moment, then she looked at the tribe members who started to get up one after another. Finally, she returned the etiquette. The tense atmosphere of both sides finally eased.
Rather than saying that this etiquette played a role, it was more accurate to say that Chen Rui was not inferior to the strength of Queen Medusa. If he was only a weak person, perhaps he had already been turned into a stone statue.
“Queen Royal Highness, I’m not medusa’s enemy. On the contrary, many medusas and I are even closest friends. This is the biggest reason why I’m friendly to your tribe.” Chen Rui tried his best to show kindness in his words, “As far as I know, the snake blood fruit can help the medusa tribe to multiply its offspring, but the effect is not very ideal. It is far inferior to the Fountain of Vitality.”
Chen Rui was not a rookie who just came to the Demon Realm. He now controlled the Mountain Xilang’s Medusa tribe and had a good understanding of the habits of the Medusa tribe.
“Fountain of Vitality!” Queen Medusa was a little surprised, “That is an extremely rare holy relic of proliferation. Let alone our tribe, even the entire misty swamp does not have the existence of the Fountain of Vitality.”
Chen Rui was already planning something when he mentioned the Fountain of Vitality. He couldn’t help but be intrigued when he heard this answer, but he didn’t reveal that he owned a Fountain of Vitality. He nodded and said, “I see. No wonder I have such a misunderstanding with the medusa warriors of your tribe. Please forgive me for asking, is there any enemy who will snatch the snake blood fruit?”
Queen Medusa did not answer. Chen Rui knew that the other party was still quite wary, and he smiled slightly, “My destination this time is Mountain Loeb Mine. As long as Queen Royal Highness trusts me, I will try my best to help the medusa tribe.”
As he was talking, he took out a few items, “There are still a few pieces of equipment here. Consider these as my gifts to Queen Royal Highness.”
A handful of navel golden scimitar inlaid with cyan gemstones.
A buckler with the medusa image.
A set of exquisite golden-red armor.
A silver curved bow filled with magic.
A pot of all-metal magic arrows.
Queen Medusa and the medusa warriors were surprised to see these exquisite and powerful weapons and armors- These are simply the best equipment tailored for the medusa tribe.
“These 5 items are for Queen Royal Highness. There are still some that are of poor quality... Let me see, there are about 10 sets, which can be given to the heroic warriors of the queen.” Chen Rui took out a lot of brand new equipment from the storage warehouse again, “As I said, I’m Medusa’s best friend. These equipment were made when I helped a medusa tribe. Unfortunately, there is not much left, so I will give them all to you.”
The quality of the so-called “poor” equipment was far superior to that of the queen’s current set. This set was already the best in the Medusa tribe at present.
Queen Medusa did not shy away from taking off the armor on her body, revealing her plump chest to the outsider, She changed to the top-quality equipment and distributed the rest of the high-quality equipment according to the medusa’s strength.
Including the queen, all medusas who got the equipment seemed to love it. Their hostility toward Chen Rui had gradually disappeared.
Queen Medusa bowed to Chen Rui, “Lanliza, on behalf of the Cold Mist tribe, thank you, Chen Rui, medusa’s friend.
“Royal Highness Lanliza is too polite.” Chen Rui was secretly delighted after finally winning the trust of the other party, “It is the most delightful thing to be able to solve the misunderstanding between us. If you need help, please speak up. As a friend, I will not be stingy with my strength.”
Queen Medusa nodded, “My friend Chen Rui, just call me Lanliza. There are indeed some difficult enemies who want to take our snake blood fruits, and these enemies should be related to the mine you are going to...”
It is related to the Mountain Loeb Mine? Chen Rui was all ears when he heard this.
“These enemies were supposed to live in the depths of the mine, and they were occasionally seen outside. Currently, they all ran out for some reason, and they also eyed on the snake blood fruits. We fought with these enemies several times. There are victories and losses, and many snake blood fruits have also been taken away.”
“What enemies are them?” Chen Rui frowned. These enemies can defeat medusa and snatch the snake blood fruits, so their combat power is definitely extraordinary. They also came out of the mine. I must have a clear understanding of them.
Lanliza shook her head, “Although I have a lot of memory and knowledge in my bloodline heritage, I don’t know what demons or demonic beasts are they. They are all females and their skin is blue. They are weaker than medusa in terms of combat power alone. Even if 2 Demon Emperor-level female leaders join forces, they are not my opponents. But the magic power of these enemies is extremely powerful, they can instantly activate various debuff and buff magic, and they are not affected by medusa’s petrifying talent. In the fights, our combat effectiveness is often greatly reduced due to the opponent’s debuff magic.”
Chen Rui had some doubts while listening. Generally speaking, the underground creatures that are living in the mines may be troll, tauren, medusa, evil eye, etc., but I have never heard of this kind of blue-skinned magic race that is all female. They don’t even belong to any of the Demon Realm creatures that I know. There are only succubus and medusa that are all-female races, and the latter is also classified as demonic beasts because of their language and snake body.
Never heard of it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. The Demon Realm has a huge area and has all kinds of weird species. Let alone Chen Rui, a human who came to the Demon Realm for a short time, even Queen Medusa who had inherited the knowledge had no idea.
At this moment, the medusa warriors hurriedly reported, “Queen! Those blue enemies have appeared again! They have broken through our defense line and approached the snake blood fruit tree!”
The snake pupils in Queen Medusa’s eyes were full of murderous intent. She waved her newly acquired quasi-legendary grade scimitar, and her double-forked tongue made an angry hiss, “Go to the snake blood fruit tree immediately to face the enemy!”
Chen Rui wanted to see the strange creatures coming out of the mine, so he said, “I will go with you, my friend Lanliza!”
“Okay!” Queen Medusa nodded politely and resolutely. Her body wriggled forward quickly; she was actually faster than a mount such as a magic horse.
Chen Rui tapped his feet and followed closely behind Queen Medusa.
Soon, the team rushed to the depths of the mangrove forest. From a distance, they saw 7 or 8 fruit trees in front of them, bearing hundreds of purple-red fruits. This should be the snake blood fruit tree that the medusa tribe depended on for proliferation. A fierce fight was happening not far from the fruit tree.
The enemies were a group of about 20 strange creatures. They were slender and were all female. Their feet seemed to be floating, and the way they travel was similar to flying..
These females had silver-white hair, beautiful faces, and sky-blue skin. They were naked without any clothes, but many parts were covered with strange patterns that emitted golden white light.
As Queen Lanliza said, the speed and power of the blue females’ magic were amazing, but it was not attacking magic. Instead, it was all debuff or buff magics.
Buff magics were naturally for their companions while the debuff magics were for the medusas. Chen Rui noticed that the magics of these females were actually aoe. That meant with one acceleration spell, all the companions in the range could become faster. Similarly, one deceleration could slow down the speed of a group of medusa.
When a blue female’s hand stretched out in the front of the row of medusa warriors, they staggered like they were drunk. The females did not kill the dizzy medusas, but she flew directly toward the snake blood fruit tree with a very fast speed.
When approaching the fruit tree, this female suddenly trembled. Her towering chest was nailed swiftly by a silver arrow. Then another 2 arrows hit her abdomen and shoulders. The female’s body leaned back. There was a painful expression on her face. Strangely, the wound did not bleed, but the golden light patterns on her body seemed much dimmer.
It was Queen Medusa who shot the arrow. She felt that the newly acquired weapon was really powerful. The bow and arrow alone were more than 10 times more powerful than before. With a loud cry, the medusas all charged toward the enemies.
As medusa’s friend, Chen Rui naturally wanted to perform. When Queen Medusa shot her arrow, his body tapped and rushed toward the blue female first. He chopped down with his [Aura Blade].
The female had already pulled out the silver arrow on her body. With a wave of her hand, Chen Rui felt his speed slowed down. This slowed [Aura Blade] was avoided by the woman’s swift movement, leaving a deep mark on the ground.
The woman sensed the powerful strength of this enemy, and she waved her hands consecutively. For a while, various debuffs such as weakening, dizziness, and deceleration were coming from a distance, and they were overlapping without conflict. Although these magics’ level was not very high, the effect had definitely reached the highest level of magic.
Even Chen Rui, who had the [Anti-Magic] physique which could reduce half of the magic damage and debuff effects, also felt quite uncomfortable. He was obviously powerful, but he was unable to exert normal combat effectiveness due to various factors restrictions. He was very aggrieved, and he finally understood how the medusas felt fighting against these females.
At this time, the relevant information of this strange female had already appeared in his [Analytical Eyes].
Race: Lamp Spirit (Alchemy being)
Comprehensive Strength Assessment: A-
Physique: B+, Strength: B, Spirit: A-, Speed: A-
[Analysis]: Immortal attribute, magic body.
This information surprised Chen Rui. What is an alchemy being? And there are powerful attributes like immortal?
By the way, the name of “lamp spirit” and that kind of magic means seem to be somewhat similar to the army of a certain classic game in my memory. It seems that there are still many “coincidences” between both worlds.
However, it was obviously not the time to think about this kind of thing now. The fast speed and powerful magics of the lamp spirits had affected the medusas, even Queen Medusa, who surrounded them.
When the lamp spirits were about to pick the snake blood fruits, 10 strange human figures suddenly appeared around the fruit trees. These human figures were about 2 meters tall, and their bodies were made of metal that glowed with dark golden light.
The bodies of metal people were strong and powerful. What surprised the lamp spirits the most was that when the endless debuff magics were cast on the goldmen, the goldmen were actually unaffected.
Lamp spirit? From the Aladdin? Any idea what the author was referring to?
