Chapter 881: Meeting
The meeting of the 3 rulers came to a successful conclusion, and the important decisions made in this meeting were destined to be recorded in history.
The 3 empires, the Fallen Angel Empire, the Dark Shadow Empire, the Bloody Empire, issued a joint statement that they would stop all sanctions and war and plan the establishment of a joint alliance. The Demon Realm would usher in a new era of peace.
Of course, things such as the son-in-law clause had not been disclosed to the public, and the specific date of establishment of the confederation had not been determined. The parties involved were clear about the reason.
The announcement of this joint statement made the entire Demon Realm cheer. The 3 empires had all experienced the scourge of war. For the people, almost no one wanted to live that kind of destitute and homeless life again. For those who had excess energy and were fond of fighting and battling, there were also multiple platforms — The battle ball contests, martial fighting contests, and magic game training. The future legion martial arts battles, inter-college contests, magic game battle and others mentioned in the joint statement by the 3 empires could also give them ample opportunities to show their abilities.
With the successful conclusion of the martial battle championship and the important consensus reached in the 3 empires’ talk, it was almost time to leave the Iron Fist Estate.
After setting a return date of departure within 3 days, Chen Rui received a special invitation from Raizen to go to the mechanic association of the Iron Fist Estate to give a lecture to the mechanic who came to watch the game.
Chen Rui naturally couldn’t refuse, but he didn’t foresee that once he left, an important visitor came to the VIP inn where he was staying.
Her Majesty Empress from the Dark Shadow Empire.
Mother of the child.
After the final that the Demon Realm was still talking about so far, Catherine had communicated with Shea in the 3 empires talks and reached a considerable understanding, but it was the first time Catherine had officially come to meet the harem troupe. However, she did not expect that a certain mediator was not there; it was equivalent to directly facing the ‘sisters’ (love rivals?).
Catherine’s arrival was reasonable, but the harem troupe seemed to be flustered not because Chen Rui was not there, but because they happened to be playing a game with Ms. Duoduo, so many people had strange drawings on their faces.
This VIP inn was not accessible to ordinary people, but the person sitting at the gate drinking wine happened to be the dead duck dragon. Seeing the arrival of Her Majesty Empress (who was the lover of the damn human) who had defeated him, he rolled his eyes and greeted her with enthusiasm, then he very ‘enthusiastically’ asked the waiters not to inform and let Catherine in directly. When the Dark Shadow Empire’s Royal Majesty Empress entered the hall, the girls who were caught off guard didn’t even have time to ‘remove their makeup’.
When Catherine came to the hall, she deliberately removed her veil, not because she wanted to show off, but to express her honesty in order to avoid unnecessary grudges from the girls by wearing the veil.
In order to prepare for the moment of meeting, the top sage Her Majesty Empress also thought about various words or possible situations in advance, but when she saw several madams, she was almost startled.
Athena was dressed in a barrel-like suit with metallic paint on her face;
Isabella was dressed as a witch with an exaggerated hooked nose;
Shea was wearing a huge bizarre robe. It was not a crown on her head, but a hood that looked like a bald head, plus a beard stuck to her face;
Zola’s face was rubbed with ashes, and her body was covered with straw;
Even the little loli Alice’s big claws held a lion mask that was just taken off...
The only normal one was Ms. Duoduo, who was wearing a cute dress, carrying a small basket, and wearing a pair of crystal shoes next to a barking puppy.
Catherine saw at a glance that the power breath on the puppy was Kingdom level, and she couldn’t help being surprised. The girls were also stunned — The top beauty lived up to her reputation indeed. The face and elegant, wise temperament that overwhelmed all living beings made even the harem troupes who were already stunning inevitably envious. Furthermore, they were in this abnormal state which was kind of awkward at the moment.
Meanwhile, Ms. Duoduo had rushed over happily, “Mommy! Mommy!”
“Duoduo! You’re naughty again!” Catherine glanced at her daughter in her arms angrily, and she patted her little butt lightly.
“No! Aunts are playing an interesting game with me! This game is called...” Little Duoduo sucked her finger as if she couldn’t remember it all of a sudden.
The puppy with an appeasing smile on his face actually said, “Little Master Duoduo, no, Master Dorothy, this script is called The Wizard of Oz, and I’m your puppy Toto.”
Catherine noticed the voice of this puppy which was belong to Dodo who was defeated by Red Pipit. Looking at the strange appearance of the ladies, including Iceberg Empress Shea, she suddenly couldn’t say the many words that she had prepared before. She had a lot of words in her mind, but in the end, she just gave a deep bow to the ‘love rivals’.
“Thank you.”
Although there were only 2 words, it was genuine and full of sincerity. Shea and the other girls could naturally sense it and they bowed back in a hurry.
“Mommy, Aunt Athena is a tin man, Aunt Zola is a scarecrow, Aunt Isabella is...” Duoduo went through one by one, “and Sister Alice is a lion who likes to ‘Ow’.”
“I said that it’s not sister; it’s aunty!” Alice corrected her immediately. The little loli had her own thoughts; she didn’t want to be a generation lower than her sister, Athena and the others.
Duoduo walked over curiously, stood on tiptoe, stretched out her hand and compared Alice’s height, then she compared with Athena and Isabella beside her before confirming with a serious look, “It’s sister!”
“...” The lion loli, who was hit on her soft spot, ‘ow’ to the sky with tears streaming down her face.
Fortunately, Duoduo was not looking at the chest.
Shea frowned, “Alice, don’t be rude in front of Her Majesty Catherine!”
“It’s okay.” Catherine smiled slightly, “So... are you all still missing a role?”
On the other hand, the mechanics of the Mechanic Association were very enthusiastic. It was not until evening that Chen Rui returned to the inn. He was surprised when he heard the news of Catherine’s arrival.
This madam empress top sage’s reputation is not for nothing. Even Isabella is inferior to her. In some respects, she can even single out the whole harem troupe. The worst thing is that she came to visit when I was not there. Maybe a war of words or even a world war has already happened.
When Chen Rui hurried to the hall, he saw a harmonious scene that surprised him: Catherine was chatting and laughing with the girls, and everyone’s attitude seemed to be very casual, unlike what he expected.
Little Duoduo was curled up in Isabella’s arms, sleeping soundly. With the abundant energy of Ms. Little Phoenix, she must be exhausted from playing since she fell asleep so early.
Seeing Chen Rui coming in, the girls got up one after another, and Alice quickly greeted him happily, “Brother is back!”
Chen Rui patted the little loli’s head, looked at the girls, and said to Catherine, “You’re here.”
Catherine smiled and nodded.
“Hmph! It sounds like he is the supreme master. A flirty, shameless, lousy man.” Needless to say, the one who muttered with vicious mouth skill must be the little mermaid princess.
Ms. Black Dragon came up to announce the good news, “Boss! Sister Catherine treated us to a free meal today!”
For the chick, free was naturally the biggest attraction.
Chen Rui was taken aback, “Have you all eaten?”
“Why, Royal Highness Prince Consort? Your fiancée’s father... which is the father-in-law you often say, didn’t he ask you to stay for dinner?” Hearing Ms. Yini’s surprised voice, Chen Rui was speechless. You’re still holding my daughter in your arms, can’t you stop for a second?
“Your Highness Prince Consort... I’m sorry that I didn’t take away some food for you.” The troublemaker’s little maid rubbed it in with a grudge.
“Boss, it’s okay. I especially kept a late night snack for you with a 10% discount. 10,000 black crystal coins for...” Without changing her expression, Ms. Black Dragon took out half of a steamed bun that she couldn’t finish.
Catherine looked at Chen Rui, who was devastated, and smiled without saying a word.
Shea spoke up, “Alright, we’ve had a busy day today. Everyone is exhausted. We’re going to rest. Chen Rui, you go and send Catherine off.”
All the girls nodded in unison, and Chen Rui heard a hint. Shea didn’t add the word ‘Her Majesty’ to Catherine. They seem to be relatively close. Does this indicate a good omen?
Before he could clarify it, he was inexplicably kicked out the door, accompanied by Catherine and the sleeping Ms. Duoduo.
The 2 did not ride the magic carriage, but chose to walk instead. In order not to attract attention, Catherine put on a veil, and Chen Rui disguised another face.
Under the moonlight, the shadows of the 2 were getting closer and closer. Catherine held Chen Rui’s arm. It was the first time Chen Rui had such an intimate moment with her in public. There was a different feeling immediately – very heartwarming.
“Your heart seems to be beating fast, Your Highness Prince Consort.”
“Now is not the time to waste your spirit power to study this kind of data.” Chen Rui shrugged while hugging the sleeping Ms. Duoduo, “You also seem a little nervous, Your Majesty Empress. Is this the first time you’re holding a man for a walk like this?”
“You should be honored.”
“I think it is more appropriate to use the word ‘heartwarming’. This is my true feeling.”
“Is it?”
“Of course.”
“I never thought that I would have such a day. We took a lot of detours, but fortunately, we finally got to where we wanted to go.” Catherine’s head gradually came closer and gently rested on his shoulder. The shadows on the ground overlapped into 1.
He is right, ‘heartwarming’, that’s how it feels.
Chen Rui gently kissed her hair while smelling the familiar fragrance comfortably, “There is still a long way to go, let’s go together.”
“En...“
Catherine looked up, lifted the veil, and kissed his face.
This movement was so natural like a couple who had been together for many years.
It was also a heartwarming feeling. Chen Rui’s heart was warm, and he only hoped that this road could continue infinitely.
At this point, the 2 had reached a remote place. Catherine stopped and took out something wrapped in layers of cloth from behind, “By the way, this is for you.”
Chen Rui knew that this thing was taken out from the magic carriage at the entrance of the inn before she decided to walk, but she kept it behind her back. He didn’t know what it was.
Catherine carried Little Duoduo while Chen Rui opened the package. It was actually a metal object like a piece of armor. With his current mechanical grand master eyesight, he quickly saw the key and pressed 1 of the parts. The armor pieces quickly overlapped and changed, transforming into an armor.
The whole armor was black, exuding a special fluctuation and giving people a feeling of indestructibility. Chen Rui’s mind moved as he tried to put the armor into the storage space, but to no avail. He was slightly shocked, “Wrath King Armor?”
Catherine smiled and nodded. Chen Rui was greatly surprised. It’s really 1 of the 7 artifacts, the Wrath King Armor of the Samael Royal Family!
When Gustav (Bridget) fought desperately and was defeated by Raizen, Raizen did not take away the Wrath King Armor. However, the Wrath King Armor and the corpse of Bridget disappeared after that. Ms. Black Dragon, who went there immediately to pick up free goodies, came empty-handed. I didn’t expect it to fall into Catherine’s hands.
Chen Rui suddenly thought of something and tried to ask, “Is Bridget...”
Catherine nodded and answered, “Yes, he’s still alive thanks to the resurrection potion you gave me when you were in the small plains.”
Chen Rui once entered the palace and sent a resurrection potion to Catherine after the Dark Shadow Empire mechanic contest, but in the battle of the Crystal Valley, Catherine poured the potion on the ground when she thought he was dead. Later, when Chen Rui was in the small plains of the Jergal Fortress, he took out another bottle for Catherine, wanting to help her survive the disaster of Nirvana, but he relied on Duoduo’s strength to save her life in the end.
Bridget died in the battle with Raizen this time after burning out his blood and vitality, but his body was not damaged, and his soul was not completely dissipated. He was successfully resurrected by Catherine with a resurrection potion.
“But Bridget’s side...”.
“I not only saved him, but also promised to give the Samael Royal Family a place in the empire alliance in the future as well as a valuable space for survival and development, so he promised to lend me the Wrath King Armor indefinitely.” Catherine’s eyes flashed a glimmer of wisdom, “Actually, this was the condition I had negotiated with Raizen when we met. In short, I scammed the Samael Royal Family once. However, Raizen made demands on you with such a manner, even at the risk of letting her daughter inherit the throne and marry you... he shouldn’t be able to solve Tiffany’s trouble by himself. You are likely to be in danger. I know you have the ability to activate the 7 artifacts. Just like the God-Eating Mask, the Wrath King Armor is 1 of the 7 artifacts; the strongest armor other than the Illusive Demon Shield. With it, at least you have a little more chance of success. If you need it, I can lend you the Dark Shadow Cape as well.”
Then only Chen Rui knew Catherine’s intentions to deceive the Wrath King Armor. He was moved and hugged her gently.
“Catherine, I...”
“Don’t want to go back tonight?” Catherine clearly guessed what he was thinking, and a blush flashed across her face behind the veil, “Aren’t you afraid of being dismembered by the ladies the next day?”
“Alright, you don’t have to look so tragic like you are being rushed to the execution ground... In fact, when they asked you to send me and Duoduo back just now, they have acquiesced to your ill idea.”
Chen Rui’s eyes lit up, “Really?”
“My guess.”
TL: Only the boots are still missing, what will happen if he gets the full set? By the way, how do they do ‘that’ when Duoduo is around, hmmm...
