Chapter 317 - Fly! A Loli Over the Dark Moon
The encounters of Skye (Fonsaq) made Chen Rui be vigilant and suspicious of the Demon Realm’s top mechanical master who used despicable means. The life and death of the suspected Nate disciple, Horford, was missing after experiencing Crystal Valley’s chaos, but the relationship between Horford and Crystal Valley should not be as simple as hiring or recruiting. Relating to Nate’s means and the huge force behind him, Chen Rui had every reason to doubt Nate was also a member of that mysterious force.
In any case, Chen Rui’s own power and the power in his hands were far from enough. He couldn’t compete with that force, so now he could only endure for the time being.
The problem of this force was a far-flung worry while the problem of Dark Moon Estate was a near one. It was a matter of immediate concern. It was imperative to act immediately, but he had to wait 2 more days because it was Athena’s 20th birthday a few days later.
Athena just reminded him casually. In fact, Chen Rui always kept that in mind. When she saw the “I understand” expression on her man’s face, even the representative madam sheriff was blushing.
In fact, Chen Rui always remembered this day.
Alice also remembered Athena’s birthday, and she voiced out in advance to celebrate it nicely. Although little loli’s purpose was likely to be the much-craved delicious cake that Kia brought last time, she was quite good to remember her good friend’s birthday.
Athena was very touched by this. When Kia brought the cake previously, the little loli knew that Chen Rui had come back from the outside. Unfortunately, she went to Bailing Estate and did not encounter him during his return. This time, while Athena was in a good mood, she took the opportunity to make a small request.
When Athena accompanied Chen Rui to Mountain Xilang earlier, Alice was very envious of her riding the wyvern. Alice’s request was to ride the wyvern once to experience being a dragon knight.
Chen Rui did not want to cause unnecessary trouble initially, so he had always used the excuse of unqualified strength to fool the little loli, saying that there was no antidote to completely eliminate the toxicity of wyvern at the moment. So, she must reach the Higher Demon to be able to ride it. As dragon knights needed to constantly deal with toxins, it was easy to be disfigured and the like. This problem had made the little loli be afraid for quite some time.
However, as the time passed, even Chen Rui himself was about to forget the excuse for delaying, but the little loli always remembered this matter. She finally learned from Athena about the news that the “antidote” had been successfully researched this time.
In fact, Athena once heard Chen Rui said that Alice, like her, had consumed the essence of Jade Pearl, which was condensed only after hundreds of years on the tip of the poison dragon’s horn. Ithad a strong permanent anti-toxic ability. A wyvern’s toxin couldn’t harm her at all. Besides, Chen Rui didn’t hide his awakening from Alice. Alice also kept his secrets dearly. It was not a big deal to take her “fly” once.
“I’m going to the barrack today to organize the final selection of the battle ball team members, so I won’t go.” Athena said generously in front of the little loli and Chen Rui, “Alice, I’ll lend Chen Rui to you for a day.”
Lend? Chen Rui’s expression was stunned, a boyfriend should not be easily transferred like this!
Alice’s big eyes were shimmering: Athena is not going? So me and Chen Rui... are going alone? Is this creating opportunities for me?
——Athena, you are such a good, good, good friend! A good thing should be shared with friends!
“Make Alice truly happy today.” Athena uttered the sentence and gave Chen Rui a “must do” look before she headed toward the barrack.
This loli’s happiness is probably built on the pain of others... Someone who had been reduced to “a good thing” saw the little loli’s eyes lit up, and he inexplicably thought of the stick which was specially used to knock people in the back of their head; he suddenly shivered.
If this day is all arranged by Alice, I’m afraid that she will fly the wyvern with an anti-radar low altitude in Dark Moon City; it will be a terrible ordeal. Chen Rui made an excuse that the wyvern was in the black rainforest. It would take at least half a day to summon it. He took Alice to stroll around in the city. In order to prevent little loli from protesting, he also bought something for her. However, Alice’s mood and patience seem to be particularly good today. She was very obedient. Her face was always smiling, and there was no slight objection.
At this moment, Chen Rui almost thought that it was an illusion. Is this obedient cute loli really that weird, blackhearted and greedy loli? Could it be that after being trained in the Princess Retail Store these days, she has recovered her normal attributes?
According to someone’s mantra, the great Demon God has finally opened his omnipotent left eye!
However, there was a stark difference between ideal and reality. The fangs of the blackhearted loli quickly appeared, and some strange ideas made Chen Rui flee instantly. In the simplest case, Alice very “smartly” suggested that he use [Transformation] to become a female figure in order to “cover” that sheriff’s true face and to match her princess’s identity. Then, she “very kindly” took him to select lingeries...
Fully aware of the cruel reality, Chen Rui finally understood how unwise it was to walk around with little loli in the crowded Dark Moon City. He immediately took her all the way to escape from the Dark Moon City and came to a place in the suburbs with a tri-horned rhino.
Without waiting for little loli to have a new “good idea.” Chen Rui had secretly summoned a wyvern- As he would soon rush to the Red Spirit Estate to execute his plan, this wyvern was prepared a few days ago. Because he couldn’t withstand Alice’s “attack,” he had to reveal the wyvern in advance.
According to Athena, Alice’s beast taming skill was very awful, so it was too dangerous to fly the wyvern in the air alone. Despite [Analytical Eyes] communication, Chen Rui got on the wyvern with her just in case..
The wyvern did not have any protective gear like saddles, nor the restriction of the cage chains. Perhaps due to the fact that she had seen Athena flying plus her trust on Chen Rui, Alice was not afraid in the face of the ferocious aerial demonic beast. Instead, she looked excited.
Chen Rui’s “beast taming skill” did not disappoint Alice. The wyvern leaned down quite gently and allowed the two to ride on its back. As Chen Rui instructed, Alice held the protruding bone behind the wyvern. The wyvern did not need to have a run-up like a griffin. Its powerful feet kicked, and its wings flapped directly into the air.
Apart from the tilted center of gravity when taking off, the wyvern flying in the air was much steadier. Alice’s early Intermediate Demon power was enough to control it.
Alice was still a little nervous when she took off, but now she was completely relaxed. This wyvern is huge. It is not the two young dragons that Chen Rui and Athena rode to Mountain Xilang last time. This should be an adult wyvern with Higher Demon power. At the thought of this, Alice couldn’t help being excited.
In fact, little loli had estimated wrongly. The real strength of this wyvern was the later stage of Demon King-level. Its stamina and flying ability were very outstanding. It used to carry Chen Rui between Silent Night Wetland and Dark Moon Estate. It could be considered an old mount.
Under the instruction of Chen Rui, the wyvern began to make various changes in direction and height under Alice’s poor beast taming skill. Little loli was extremely excited. If she was not in the sky now, she would directly jump with joy.
“Left full rudder, second into the left. Launch the plasma cannon!” Little loli had stood up boldly, but she hooked the protruding bone with her foot to stabilise her body. She released a slight power in her hands, launching a small black fireball forward. Although the power of this small fireball was not worth mentioning, the mysterious law contained in it was indeed something that even Chen Rui couldn’t ignore now; the bloodline talent of the Lucifer Royal Family, [Dark Flame].
[Dark Flame] was not entirely a fire element power or a dark element power. It had only one kind of law that was destruction. A destruction which ignores everything. Its attributes were completely opposed to Nirvana flame.
“Turn on the photon shield protection!”
“Prepare for a space leap!”
Little loli had now fully immersed herself in the role of story which Chen Rui told her last time. Fortunately, Chen Rui had talked about the agreed rules with her early in the morning. They could not be close to the Dark Moon City area. Otherwise, little loli would have been a guest star in Eagles Over London [1] ... Uh, A Loli Over Dark Moon.
After she got bored of playing the space fortress role, little loli suddenly had a pair of furry black ears on her head. It turned out to be a strange cat ears hat appearing out of the blue. There was a small bell hanging on her neck, which made crisp sounds with the blowing wind.
“Meow!” Little loli called mischievously. Chen Rui seemed to see an invisible tail wagging behind her skirt, but this time it was not the tail of the little devil, but... some kind of cat?
Hold on! This is a cat... cat ears loli?
Chen Rui was shocked, Perhaps the little loli is going to create a new “genre” in the Demon Realm?
At this moment, little loli pointed one finger at the sky. The invisible little tail behind her butt wagged, and she made an arrogant sound which even crossed the whistling airflow. It seemed domineering, “Humans can’t stop the cat anymore!”
(Chen Rui:...)
Maybe this is little loli’s true happy look. The role of the money-minded Princess Retail Store boss is more for her sister, Shea. It is really hard for her to manage the business all day indeed. After all, she is just a child who has not grown up.
As Athena said, let Alice be truly happy today.
After playing tirelessly for a while, the little loli seemed to have lost interest in the one-man show. Her hands stretched open with her shoulders flat, making a cross pose.
“Jack!”
Chen Rui didn’t respond for a moment. Is there a person with this name? Wyvern’s name is not this right?
“Jack! Hurry up!”
“Alice, are you calling me?”
“Don’t call me Alice, my name is Rose! Do you understand now?” Little loli looked expectant, but unfortunately Chen Rui did not see it in the back.
Chen Rui was puzzled, “Rose?”
“Jack and Rose! Don’t you remember? It’s the story of the Titanic that you said!”
Titanic? Chen Rui suddenly understood and was speechless. Erm-thief and shredded meat [2]? Are you sure I pronounced it this way when I was telling the story?
Feeling helpless, Chen Rui had to help hold up the two arms of little loli, but it was the copycat version no matter how you see it. Even if the difference between the ship and the demonic beast was ignored, the difference in height between the two people was relatively large.
But Alice didn’t care about this. After “flying” for a while, she leaned her body back. Chen Rui was afraid that she would fall and quickly stabilized himself. However, little loli turned back notoriously and seemed to want to peck on his face “conveniently”. Fortunately, due to the gap in height, and little loli couldn’t stand while tiptoeing, her attempt could only fail.
Chen Rui pretended not to see it on the surface, but his vest was soaked in sweat- She was a little more subtle last time by knocking me off, then kissing me. This time she is bold. She actually goes too deep in the role play.
Alice’s first plan didn’t work out, so she made another plan. She shouted, “I’m exhausted” and fell backward. Chen Rui was already prepared, so he gently supported her shoulders with his hands. Little loli immediately felt that the other party was actively avoiding it, so she pouted immediately with dissatisfaction.
“Since you are exhausted, let’s get back to the ground,” said Chen Rui. The wyvern had begun to slow down and slowly landed.
This action made Alice even more upset. Her wronged look seemed like she was about to cry. Chen Rui knew that little loli’s acting was superb, but he would tolerate her today.
While little loli was depressed, suddenly her nose smelled a tantalizing scent, and she saw a small cake on a plate appearing in front of her. No, this should not be a cake. It seemed to be solidified, somewhat similar to crystal. Plus, it is more delicate and cute. The fragrance is also very unique.
Little loli’s eyes were fixated on it for a moment. She forgot to pretend to be pitiful and swallowed her saliva secretly, “What is this?”
“This is called pudding,” Chen Rui had a small spoon in his hand, and he handed it to her together. “I just made it successfully last night. You’re the first person to taste it. Even Athena hasn’t tried it yet.”
This sentence made little loli’s eyes glimmer. Holding the spoon and looking at the translucent delicate pudding, she felt reluctant to eat it for a while. After a long time, she finally carefully scooped a little into her mouth and tasted it. Then, she couldn’t hold it anymore. The entire pudding was wiped out completely in a flash.
After playing for most of the day, Alice also felt hungry. Her taste buds were hooked by this pudding. After eating, she still felt that it was not enough, “Give me 2 more, and I can forgive your impolite action of taking advantage to hug me when we were flying just now.”
Chen Rui immediately rolled his eyes. You are obviously the one who wanted to play the “Titanic”. Being a man... Even if you are a demon, you can’t distort the truth like this!
“If you don’t give it to me, I will tell my sister and Athena that you touched me...”
“Stop!” (Cry without tears)
“...” (Some loli chews comfortably)
“I want cakes, barbecues, hot pots... Don’t look at me like that, human brother. I know you will find a way...”
(Alice: A happy day)
(Chen Rui: A miserable day)
[1] A war film by Enzo G. Castellari.
[2] Similar Chinese pronunciation as Jack and Rose.
The one who could ‘defeat’ Chen Rui could only be the little loli 😶
