Chapter 314 - Kia
Chapter 314: Kia
Alice went to Bailing Estate with her sister this time. Little loli was very business-savvy as she bought a lot of specialty products at Bailing Estate. She brought all of them back to the Dark Moon together with the gift from Bailing Estate’s lord and sold it under the brand of Princess Retail Store. The price was quite expensive, but it had attracted many buyers.
In addition, the Dark Shadow Empire’s top business family, Custer Family, had sent people to come and discuss the opening of the Princess Retail Store branch in the Dark Shadow Empire capital. With the influence of Custer Family, the Princess Retail Store merchandise which were labelled as fashionable and high-end would very likely become popular in the Dark Shadow Empire. This was only the first step in business cooperation between the two sides.
Alice had her hands full as soon as she came back. As the most popular and most effective clerk in the Princess Retail Store, Kia naturally became the busiest person.
“Kia, aren’t you tired?” Alice looked strangely at the high-spirited succubus when they had a rare short break after the guests on the second floor of Princess Retail Store finally left.
“You seem to be particularly energized recently. You are very motivated to do anything. Your entire person seems to be... different from before?”
“Nah.” Of course, Kia wouldn’t say it was because of the disappearance of [Soul Shackles] which had controlled her for many years. She laughed and said, “I’m forcing myself to hold on. Actually, I’m almost worn out. I’m afraid I don’t have the energy to accompany the little princess to the night market tonight.”
“I’m exhausted too. I had to start working straight after coming back from Bailing Estate without taking a rest day.” Alice stretched herself, “I really miss the beautiful and delicious cake last time... How good it is if I can eat it now.”
Speaking of cake, Kia smiled tenderly, “Unfortunately, Sir Chen Rui has not yet awakened, otherwise the wish of the little princess should not be a problem. I hope our sir sheriff will get well soon.” Last time, this human also remembered my birthday. Although he is somewhat silly, he is really a rare kind man. Miss Athena has a good taste indeed. Hopefully that human will recover soon.
By the way, it seems that the previous name of this human is also Arthur, but he’s totally incomparable with the “Master Arthur...”
Alice knew that Chen Rui had woken up, but she wouldn’t reveal it. It was just that when she thought of the cake, it was really mouth-watering. But now Chen Rui should be doing important matters elsewhere that her sister had ordered, so she could only restrain her craving.
“Okay, everyone! Let’s work hard for the shiny black crystal coins! If you can achieve the volume this month, your salary will be doubled!” Speaking of the shiny black crystal coins, little loli clenched her fist and a dragon-like light shined in her eyes, radiating a powerful aura. The “ultimate technique” of salary raise was amazingly powerful indeed. It infected all Princess Retail Store employees rapidly, boosting their morale instantly.
At this time, a dark elf boy came upstairs and looked at all the people upstairs before approaching Kia, “Are you Miss Kia? Someone asked me to send you a letter.”
“I can tell it’s some admirer letter again without even looking at it.” Little loli’s flashing eyes carried some envy. In fact, not to mention Alice’s appearance, the identity of the little princess alone was enough to attract countless suitors, but she had an “overprotective” sister. Many people who had ill intentions had been eliminated in the “early” stage. Even Joseph dared not really show interest in Alice.
Kia smiled shyly. She did receive a lot of such letters, but when she opened the letter and glanced, her gaze suddenly changed.
“Little princess Royal Highness, I have an urgent matter...I want to go out for a while, is it alright?”
Little loli looked at the strange expression in Kia’s eyes and exclaimed, “Kia, you won’t be really deceived by a man, right?”
Kia’s face immediately smeared a rare blush and shook her head, “No, it’s just an ordinary friend. Please, little princess.”
“Friend?” Little loli was skeptical. She thought for a while and agreed, “We are going to close soon anyway. You can go. We’ll directly meet at the palace later. Remember to bring me two South Street’s minced meat pancakes when you come back. By the way, I used up the previous Tong papaya, help me buy one more... Uhm, you know, it’s the one you said...”
Kia knew it was the breast enhancement formula that she said. She smiled and nodded. As she was about to leave, little loli suddenly blinked her eyes and threw a book, “This is for your reference. Kia, be careful!”
Kia took and had a look. Even the succubus who was usually poised could not help but to feel a little embarrassed. The title of the book was actually, “Be careful of the wolf around you! The friendship between men and women which will not survive overnight.
Kia hurriedly walked out of Princess Retail Store and went all the way to West Street. At this time, the sky was gradually gloomy. At the intersection of 14th street, some blind guys noticed the succubus’ exquisite beauty and followed her. Before they followed her till the abandoned house area, a horrifying breath suddenly shrouded over, terrifying those gangsters who were just Intermediate Demon. They were scared witless. None of them dared to get near her.
Chen Rui released a little breath. After scaring away those gangsters, his eyes fell on Kia in front of him. She was still the tempting beauty. The relatively tight maid attire wrapped around her curvy bumps, exuding her breathtaking beauty.
Compared to the time at the Dark Shadow Empire previously, there was less seductiveness and more elegance and charm. Her entire being seemed to have elevated to a whole new level. Her enchanting eyes radiated an attractive splendor.
“Master!” Although Chen Rui’s face was covered in a cloak, Kia recognized the man who had had some kind of intimate “contact” with her at one glance; he was also the first one since her birth. She was extremely excited, and she couldn’t help walking forward.
Facing the surprise on Kia’s charming face, Chen Rui thought of another face resembling her, and he couldn’t help feeling affectionate. He took off his cloak and used the face of “Master Arthur” for the time being.
In Kia’s eyes, this Great Demon looked better than any handsome face, but his dignified look gave her an ominous omen.
“I’m sorry.” Chen Rui didn’t dare to look directly at her earnest gaze. He slightly lowered his head. “Your mother, Freya...”
Kia was shocked, and her heart tightened. She only heard Chen Rui finally say, “She has passed away.”
Kia sensed something was wrong just now, but when her worry was confirmed now, she still couldn’t bear it. Her face suddenly became pale as she couldn’t accept the sudden bad news. She was shaking, and she almost couldn’t stand stably.
For Kia, there was no concept of “father” in life. The man named Azgalor was just a cold and ruthless master. Her creation was just an accidental product after some desires were vented. Even her mother was just a tool in Azgalor’s eyes. If it was not her special Devour Physique, she might have become the lowest venting tool for men.
Azgalor’s first wife, Sabrina, was also a vicious master. Under the control of [Soul Shackles], Kia and her mother were trapped in an almost unending nightmare, enduring inhuman torture. Their only hope for survival was each other’s lives.
The traumatic [Soul Shackles] that had troubled Kia for many years had finally disappeared now. This allowed her to usher in the real hope in life, but her mother, Freya, could never share this hope with her.
Chen Rui gently hugged her trembling body. Kia, like a drowning person who got hold of a drifting wood, leaned on his shoulder and started sobbing.
The two moons in the sky were gradually covered with dark clouds, as if it was grieving for the disappearance of a beautiful woman.
“I’m sorry. I have tried my best.” Chen Rui sighed, gently stroking Kia’s relaxed back that finally stopped sobbing.
Kia leaned on his tear-soaked shoulder and nodded her head gently. It wasn’t the first time she cried on his shoulder. It felt quite reassuring. “I know. Madam Sabrina... she...”
“You don’t need to call her madam anymore.” Chen Rui knew that Sabrina and her daughter’s caused a deep trauma in Kia’s heart, so he immediately showed a firm attitude, “She and Fatilu, plus that Izola... consider them your mother’s funerary object. ”
Kia seemed shocked. She knew Sabrina and Izola. They are both Azgalor’s wives. They have a very high status and are quite powerful, especially Sabrina, who may have reached the Demon Emperor level. They are actually all dead now!
“Master, is your strength the Demon Emperor...”
“No.” Chen Rui shook his head, “I’m far from the Demon Emperor. I killed both of them with a plot. Sabrina is really powerful as she has reached Demon Emperor level. My plan almost failed.”
A Great Demon King level killed a Demon Emperor level! Kia understood what this concept was. Although Chen Rui casually said “almost failed”, she could imagine how much risk this man took to kill Sabrina in order to unlock her [Soul Shackles].
Kia was touched. She suddenly thought of a terrifying thing and exclaimed, “Since you killed them, Azgalor will never let you go. He is a Demon Overlord-level powerhouse. I’m afraid it’s dangerous here. You better escape to a safe place quickly.”
“Relax, Azgalor is severely injured by a Demon Overlord now, so he will be busy taking care of himself. In fact, I only killed Sabrina and Izola. I wanted to let Fatilu who was under my control flee with your mother initially, but she was caught by Azgalor on the way. Fatilu was killed by her father personally.”
“This is Azgalor. In his eyes, the so-called daughter is simply a tool that can be discarded at any time. I didn’t expect it would be the same for Fatilu.” Kia smiled bitterly, “So my mother also...
“The real person who attacked is another Demon Overlord.” Chen Rui clenched his fists and lamented, “I’m also one of the indirect killers. If my plan didn’t go wrong...”
“No,” Kia covered his mouth tenderly. Her red eyes showed deep affection and gratitude, “You have done enough for me. Although you haven’t said much, I know that you must have taken a considerable risk to escape from death.”
Chen Rui held her hand, “As I said before, I was just helping “along the way”. I already had my own plan initially.”
“I also said before.” Kia’s head leaned against his shoulder again, “As long as you don’t mind that I’m a lowly maid, even if you chase me away, you can’t get rid of me.”
“What silly words are you saying?” Chen Rui gently put something on her wrist, “This is a gift for you.”
Kia looked down, and it was a peculiar string of ornaments. Stringed together with the red rope, the ornaments had extremely fine carvings. The delicate beauty exuded strange energy waves. She exclaimed, “This is...”
“My first legendary grade work, Moments of Beauty.” Chen Rui gently stroked her silky hair. “Compared with many immortal beings, our lives are only moments, but there is a beauty that can stop time within this moment. There is always waking up after a nightmare. I only hope that there will be no more pain and sorrow, but real happiness, in your smile in the future. That is the true beauty of your life. Meanwhile, you no longer need this anymore.”
“Ding!” The black Demon Restrictive Ring in Kia’s hands had been broken, and the shattered pieces fell on the ground, making a clear sound.
The beautiful eyes of the succubus were intertwined with astonishment, surprise, joy and moved... Her vision became more and more blurred, and the tears of excitement dropped on the ground.
In front of this man, all her shackles vanished into thin air, but there was a connection that would not break till death in her heart. I feel very happy. If my mother knew, she would be happy for her daughter, right?
Living happily is the best comfort to my mother.
“... Master, can I have it forever?”
“Of course. If you wish to, you can even have its creator forever.” Chen Rui kissed her forehead, “However, you must first listen to an imposter’s confession before that because I have many things which I have been hiding from you. For example, I have a wife” ...
Kia startled slightly, and then she whispered, “Kia knows that my identity is lowly, and my physique is too special, so I didn’t dare to expect anything. I only hope to stay with the master as a little maid, as for madam... I will do my best to serve her.”
Although she said that, Kia was still uneasy. She was not surprised about the fact that the “master” had a wife. Not only because the Great Demon men were well-known for being womanizers, but also in my view, there were definitely many women who liked such a capable and excellent man. She was worried about the treatment encountered by her mother, Freya. If she encountered an extremely vicious first wife, then her future... But this man was different from Azgalor, and she also followed him willingly. This was the first man that she was willing to follow. No matter how difficult it was, she would not give up.
As Kia made up her mind, she heard “master” added another sentence, “To be precise, she is my fiancée. Don’t worry, you... know her.”
“I know her?” Kia was truly shocked this time.
“Actually, you and I... knew each other before going to the Dark Shadow Empire, and we were old friends.”
“Ah?” Kia was even more stunned.
“What you see now is not my true face. This is a special ‘innate ability.” It’s not quite convenient to explain it here. If you come with me to a place, you will naturally understand. That place will be your real home in the future. ”
Kia followed him all the way to a remote neighborhood in the northeast. The house was supposed to be very familiar to her. After Kia left this place, she was recruited by the little princess to the Princess Retail Store, and then returned to the palace to live.
An almost unbelievable speculation popped up in Kia’s mind when she was “revisiting the old place” now. When she turned around, she saw that ‘old friend’ who had recovered to his original face or it should be called the ‘the kind man’.
The expression on succubus’s face was quite wonderful, and finally she returned to her strange charm, “You’re really a quite a good liar, isn’t it? My... master?”
Oh my god, the extremely seductive and enchanting demon is back.
And the wolf was back as well🐺...
