Chapter 559 - Her Majesty Shea
Chapter 559: Her Majesty Shea
Liliz and Terdila were finally truly shocked. Athena’s current determination and performance are by no means pretended. Could Shea miraculously return to the capital in such a short time and ascend to the throne?
In theory, there are 2 ways to ignore space. The first is the water element magic [Time and Space Gate]. This magic has a short effective number of days and is easily disturbed. Within the effective days after activation, the spirit power will be consumed continuously every day.
The second method is to establish [Space Teleportation Portal]. This condition is more demanding and requires extremely high environmental requirements. The most basic facility is to build a strong magic pool. For the capital of an empire, this environment that exists will definitely be strictly guarded and eliminated. Moreover, based on the Fallen Angel Capital sanctions and guards against the Dark Moon over the past 300 years, Obsidian will surely not leave an entrance open for the Dark Moon.
The most important thing is that, whether it is [Time and Space Gate] or [Space Teleportation Portal], there are strict distance restrictions. It is impossible to reach the capital that is so far away from the Dark Moon Estate. Otherwise, a space gate can just be built to enable both humans and the Demon Realm to kill each other directly. Why wait to fight once in 500 years?
Liliz and Terdila’s only hope now was that they had made a wrong judgment. Catherine’s purpose is to take advantage of the critical moment when the Fallen Angel Empire has no master and drive the Fallen Angel Empire to fight against the Bloody Empire, not fighting against the Dark Shadow Empire desperately. Once the Fallen Angel Empire really goes all in to fight, and if they did not hesitate to use the power of the empire to exhaust the power of the Dark Shadow Empire, then just like Shea’s words, it will eventually benefit Raizen.
The Dark Shadow Empire will be dragged to hell together by the Fallen Angel Empire. This is by no means the goal of this mission!
This Princess Royal Highness... maybe she really has carried the name Her Majesty Shea, she can definitely do as she said. Otherwise, she would not furiously refuse Obsidian’s proposal to openly trigger a crusade.
“We have understood what General Athena meant. Now we want to return to Dark Moon City. I don’t know if general allows it?” Liliz’s tone softened a bit. There were 2 intermediate stage Demon Overlords beside Athena and 1 peak stage of the Demon Overlord. In addition to so many undead soldiers, it was easy to kill them. Liliz was not afraid of death, but she wanted to confirm the shocking news as soon as possible.
“Both of you are the guests of the Dark Moon. As the new lord, if there is any offense or poor hospitality, please forgive me. You can go as you want. If you want to return to the Dark Shadow Empire, I will... Uh, organize a farewell party to send you off.” At this point, Athena herself was a little uncomfortable. After all, she was also forced to do something out of her ability. She had always believed that she, like her father George and Mom, the red dragon, was most suitable for a career in the army. She lacked a sense of familiarity as a lord. Furthermore, it was the largest and most prosperous Dark Moon Estate in the entire empire.
However, Chen Rui helped Princess Royal to develop and grow the entire Dark Moon Estate, and she also contributed her part. Shea especially said before leaving last night, “Athena, guard our home.”
This sentence had a double meaning. Athena knew in her heart that some things would not change even if Shea became an empress. Chen Rui, who followed Shea to the capital, would not change as well.
It seemed that the “representative lord” might not be the “temporary” anymore.
Liliz and Terdila didn’t care about these details at all. Seeing that Athena didn’t intend to stop them, they hurriedly left. When they walked into the city, they saw almost all the residents cheering. Even the faces of the soldiers were filled with uncontrollable excitement. The cheers of “Long Live Her Majesty” sounded one after another. Many shops even took the opportunity to offer huge discounts. It was several times more grand than the festivals.
The hearts of the 2 envoys sank. Ascending to the throne is not a joke. With this kind of euphoric celebration among the military and residents, Shea will only put herself in trouble if there are any tricks. The case is completely different whether Shea is enthroned and not enthroned. Moreover, the Dark Moon is fully prepared at the 3 key points. It seems like I must report to Catherine the Great as soon as possible.
In fact, Athena’s words were full of bluff. Gerant couldn’t reach Tekula Fortress in such a short time. Josh only brought 1 legion back then, but the most important matter, Shea’s enthronement, was by no means a bluff.
Just after the 2 envoys left the palace yesterday afternoon, Chen Rui, Shea and others had a secret discussion in the hall.
Chen Rui proposed the best way: Rush to the capital, immediately ascend to the throne, and then show the attitude of willing to use the entire empire’s power to fight till death. A beggar can never be bankrupt. He believed the Dark Shadow Empire would not want to perish together and benefit the Bloody Empire for nothing.
Everyone knew this method, but even if they rode the fastest flying demonic beasts to the capital from the Dark Moon, it would take several days. By then, the Dark Shadow Empire’s deadline had already passed.
However, Chen Rui really had a shortcut that was the Rainbow Valley’s space of the fairy dragon. Of course, the outsiders should not be allowed to get a full view of the Rainbow Valley. The entrance was forcibly transferred to the palace by Zola using space magic, and the magic circles of ancient runes were activated in the Rainbow Valley. In the eyes of the accompanying Demon Overlords, the whole process was like starting from the palace and traveling through space just like some kind of big transfer technique. Only Stiller, who was extremely knowledgeable in magic, felt a little strange. Thinking of the terrifying magic power Zola had shown on the battlefield, her heart was full of awe.
After a period of “transfer”, everyone appeared in “the Rainbow Valley” within the scope of the capital which was a huge and dangerous valley, but with the speed of everyone, it took only a few hours to reach the capital.
The appearance of Shea gave General George and others a huge surprise. All the elder families and royal families were dumbfounded. When the Sword of Fallen Angel appeared with an awe-inspiring breath, besides “Aguile” and Zola who were next to Shea, Demon Overlords such as Sarandi and Stiller, the guards led by Oliver and Old Cowen, General George, Sicali and all the soldiers knelt on one knee at the feet of Shea who was recognized by the artifact.
Putting aside the artifact’s recognition, the capital and the 4 estates were in Shea’s hands after Obsidian’s death. Of the 3 generals, 2 supported Shea and 1 had been eliminated. This was all solid power. These royal families and family forces would truly surrender to the master of the artifact only with great power as the foundation.
The enthronement ceremony began overnight preparations. The families quickly released the news, and the soldiers went door to door to notify the residents. With the dissemination of General George and Sicali, the news that Obsidian was killed by Shea with the Sword of Fallen Angel in Dark Moon Estate had been circulating in the capital recently. The residents all knew that the future empress was Shea, but they didn’t expect her to be back to the capital so soon.
The capital was gloomy these days with rain from time to time.
It was the same today. The cold rain came with the cold wind.
Just when the sky was vaguely bright, the central plaza was already crowded with residents who were facing the heavily guarded and improvised high platform.
Shea appeared on the high platform in the eyes of everyone. It was the first time many people saw the Princess Royal in the legend, the granddaughter of the Lord of Midnight Sun. It was said that she was only in her 20s and she actually defeated Regent Obsidian who ruled the empire for 300 years to regain everything that belonged to her. Now was the time for her to be crowned.
Due to the urgency of the situation, a series of complicated rituals could not be held like the regular enthronement. Many steps were omitted. Under everyone’s gaze, under the light of the Sword of Fallen Angel artifact in mid-air, Shea finally wore the crown which was the symbol of a ruler.
For an instant, except for the new empress wearing a golden crown, everyone present knelt down. Shea tried her best to calm the excitement in her heart. The long-awaited wish of my father before his death is finally achieved! I initially thought that this day would take a long, long time, and even stay just as a wish for the rest of my life. I didn’t expect it to become a reality so soon.
This crown was not only a symbol of power, but it was also a symbol of responsibility. As the man said to her, the future of her, him, and the entire empire had just begun. In the future, she would face more difficulties than she had in the Dark Moon, but she would not be afraid and flinch because he would always be by her side.
After everyone got up, Shea’s voice sounded with a hint of seriousness.
“Former Regent Obsidian. Lucifer’s tyrannical behavior, frantically accumulating wealth for his own selfishness, excluding dissidents, and crusading against the estate. Because of this internal strife that our empire has wasted too much power. The soldiers who were deceived waved their swords and slashed toward our brothers and sisters. The lives of countless warriors fell into the hands of their own people and fell under the desire of Obsidian...”
As the winner, one must first list out the faults of the losers. The so-called winners rule, but many things were facts. Obsidian had lost the trust of the people over the years, especially after the fundraising scandal. Many people present were infected by this painful atmosphere.
The capital had the most powerful magic communication tower with direct access to all estates. Through this communication tower, all estates received relevant news early in the morning, and many residents gathered together. Shea’s oath was also spread immediately in this way to every corner of the empire. Although there was a certain delay due to equipment problems, it could be regarded as a live broadcast.
After condemning Obsidian’s guilt and expounding her victory, Shea’s voice became high-spirited again, “I, Shea. Lucifer, swear by the artifact the Sword of Fallen Angel today that I will use my entire life to eliminate the internal strife and eliminate poverty. The miracle of the Dark Moon Estate will reappear in every corner of the empire. I will the entire empire toward real prosperity and strength! Everyone, no matter where they are, will be proud of being the people of the Fallen Angel Empire!”
The firm vow and the light of the artifact filled the eyes of the soldiers and the residents with fiery heat. A person called out “Long live Her Majesty Shea.” The voices in the plaza began to rise and fall, and the residents’ voices became louder and louder. The wave-like sound impacted everyone’s heart as if it resonated with them. It gave birth to a feeling of conviction. Even the cold rain became warm with this eagerness.
The same voice sounded in every estate. Despite being in different places, their eyes had the same fiery heat.
Seeing the Royal Highness Princess Shea finally becoming Her Majesty Shea, Chen Rui felt a sense of accomplishment. He and Shea happened to look at each other. In those seemingly cold eyes, the same gentleness as before was glowing. It was a tacit understanding that required no words.
TL: Maybe one of Catherine’s weaknesses is that she calculates too much that she isn’t willing to take risks 🤔, but it’s not certain that she will give up on it.
