Chapter 653 - The Empress Meets the Empress! Empress Meeting
Chapter 653: The Empress Meets the Empress! Empress Meeting
“Don’t you want to ask something?” Eliza looked at Paul, “Or you want to play safe, lest you get involved in the battle of the Holy Lady Faction?”
Paul didn’t answer and just frowned.
Eliza smiled with a sophistication disproportionate to her age, “From the moment you become a candidate for Divinity Temple Knight, it is impossible to not get involved. Not everyone can be like your teacher Paladin Captain Sir Parsali. Or in other words, you simply don’t have this strength right now. What’s even more wrong than standing in the wrong team is not having a team. Although sometimes the fence sitters are sought by all parties at the same time, it is impossible to gain true trust. They will always be the object of exclusion and contempt.”
Paul was silent. Eliza took a deep breath and stood up, “There is a saying that there are many incidental opportunities, but only people who are prepared can grasp it. Okay, I’m going back to rest, thank you for your help.”
When Eliza reached the door in a few steps, she turned around again, “There is another saying, the opportunity cannot be missed, or it will never come. Even if you are prepared, opportunities are not always there. Once you lose it, it may never come again. Think about what I said to you last time. I won’t say it again.”
Paul seemed thoughtful. He didn’t even realize that Eliza had walked out of the room.
Chen Rui, who was peeping from the side, quietly exited the room. When he heard the ‘Holy Lady Faction battle’, he had a general outline in his mind. The female assassin should also be under the Holy Lady who is likely to be involved in the inheritor disputes. The purpose of Eliza’s previous killing plot should not be only to kill Mana. Instead, it was more for causing an effect on the chain reaction of the forces behind Solanton and Mana.
The situation in the Holy Church was too deep, and he was not interested in finding out. As long as it would not affect him following Paul into the Holy Light Mountain. Although the human world was the homeland that Arthur dreamed of returning to, for Chen Rui, the Demon Realm was his true belonging. He missed his beloved women, friends, confidants as well as the purple moonlight world.
Chen Rui had a dream that night. In his dream, he was a king, Athena, Zola, Isabella... all his lovers were his concubines, including the 2 Her Majesty Empress. For an otaku, what can be more fulfilling than realizing the dream of crystal harem? Since then, Classmate King had a merry and happy life every day. Hugging left and right, sleeping together, full of joy. As for the political affairs, it was too exhausting, so it was better to keep his energy for sex.
The more the harem concubine, the better. But it would be a headache to fight for favor. they would often quarrel, sometimes causing the male protagonist to be blamed despite not doing anything. He had to be the blood sacrifice for the crystal harem. At the same time, the behavior of ‘the king sleeping till the sun rose high from then on’ caused complaints and commotion amongst the officials. In the end, when the rebels attacked the gate of the capital, he had no choice but to run away with his concubines. As a result, because of the dispute over whether to travel via water or land, the harem once again habitually quarreled, causing sparks all over the place. When the fight was settled, they were already surrounded by the rebels. At this moment, the male protagonist Classmate King finally cried...
When he woke up the next day, Chen Rui still had an endless aftertaste of this dream. Of course, what he remembered was the most beautiful first half of the story. As for the ending, it was selectively ignored- As the saying goes, don’t sweat over the small stuff.
One cannot live without pursuit. This noble dream must be realized, and it will surely be realized! Sisters, empresses, wait for me, I will definitely be back...
It seemed to be some kind of tacit understanding or the willpower (resentment?) of the otaku, at the same time, in another world... or it should be called A-level space, 2 attention-grabbing leaders shuddered suddenly at their first meeting in a grand ceremony.
These 2 were women. 1 was a cold iceberg beauty; the other was a mysterious beauty with a veil. They were the 2 most powerful women in the Demon Realm who were also the empresses of the 2 major empires.
The Dark Shadow Empire’s empress, Catherine the Great, who had arrived at the Fallen Angel Capital, had a week-long empire visit to the Fallen Angel Empire. This would be a meeting that attracted the attention of the entire Demon Realm.
There was no lack of female rulers in the history of the Demon Realm, but it was very rare that 2 empresses appeared at the same time, especially when there were only 3 major empires. However, when the 2 empresses first met, they actually shivered at the same time which surprised the surrounding officials.
“The wind is a bit strong, Her Majesty Shea,” Catherine recovered first with a charming smile behind the veil, “This time I came to the beautiful Fallen Angel Empire with peace and hope. As this is the first time I meet with Your Majesty, I am inevitably a little nervous. Now I feel a lot more at ease because at least we already have 1 thing in common.”
If a male protagonist who had the dream was here, he would surely snicker- You 2 sisters have 1 more important thing in common...
Shea also showed a friendly smile, “Your Majesty Catherine, it is indeed an unexpected ‘common ground’ which is a good sign. I’m very much looking forward to the next 7 days of meeting to promote more mutual benefit between both empires.”
Catherine nodded, and the 2 empresses walked into the palace side by side.
In the past few months, after the Fallen Angel Empire had experienced a series of diplomatic incidents with the Dark Shadow Empire, the relationship between the 2 empires had finally recovered and they had cooperated in some areas. As the time was not long and many of them were just at the beginning, so some results were not obvious, but in the long run, it had considerable potential and benefits.
The most surprising was the Green Shade Estate of the Fallen Angel Empire which was a small estate located north of the Red Spirit Estate. The soil was barren and the terrain was dangerous. It faced the Fallen Angel Empire to the west. In addition to the Red Spirit Estate, it also shared borders with several small and medium estates. It was originally a buffer zone with minimal development space. After Royce, appointed by Shea, took office, he did not hesitate to build roads and expand towns at his own private expense. He was once cited as a laughing stock by the lords.
However, the Green Shade Estate was quickly classified as a special economic zone by Empress Shea. Various pilot projects were launched. Under Royce’s active operation, various projects were successfully implemented and carried out with extraordinary results. The previous road building and town expansion had played a crucial role. The initial disadvantage of being unable to be developed due to restrictions by the estates had turned into the advantages of communication links. Although many things were just starting to take shape, extremely attractive prospects could be foreseen. If they continued to develop this way, this poor and initially mediocre estate would become 1 of the most important economic hubs of the Fallen Angel Empire.
This made the people admire Her Majesty Shea’s means of turning barren land into something magical. It was also what the former Regent Obsidian could not do.
This was the first most formal and important foreign affairs visit since Shea ascended the throne. Compared with the Bloody Empire, which was still trapped in the internal strife, Catherine’s friendly visit had massive positive significance. It was very likely to even affect the future trend of the Demon Realm.
The 2 empresses sat side by side on the 2 thrones on the steps of the main hall. Shea, the host, was on the left and Catherine, the guest, was on the right.
Shea spoke up, “Your Majesty Catherine. Allow me to introduce you. This is the Left Prime Minister Oliver. Lucifer, Right Prime Minister Stiller. Boll...”.
Every time a name was mentioned, the corresponding character bowed and saluted. Catherine nodded one by one. When introducing a masked man in the cloak, Catherine took the initiative to speak, “I believe this is Your Majesty Shea’s fiancé, Sir Aguile.”
The name made Shea’s eyes have a touch of warmth with a faint longing, “Yes, he is Aguile. Due to a certain life oath. He can’t take off the mask on his face. Please forgive him, Your Majesty Catherine.”
“It’s okay. I’ve always been a little curious... How did this mysterious man capture Your Majesty Shea’s heart.” As Catherine spoke, her watery black eyes glowed with scorching light which penetrated the veil and stared closely at the man in the cloak.
After the man in the cloak bowed slightly, he had already raised his head. The purple eyes behind the mask exchanged a glance with Catherine. In an instant, everyone in the vicinity felt a strange throbbing as if 2 powerful forces collided silently. Then, it soon returned to calm as if nothing happened. Many people thought it was an illusion.
Catherine’s eyes squinted behind the veil, intertwining with dignified, surprised, confused, and puzzled expressions. She bowed her head to the man in the cloak, indicating a special respect which was a respect for the powerhouse.
The man in the cloak also bowed his head in return, then he retreated to the group of officials. Many of the officials’ gazes toward ‘Aguile’ changed. This mysterious man who merely goes with the title of imperial guard’s deputy commander actually possesses a powerful strength that is respected by the Demon Realm’s top sage and second powerhouse, Catherine!
“It is indeed the powerhouse who once killed Obsidian. He is much stronger than the rumors. Congratulations to Your Majesty Shea. You have found a true guardian.” Catherine’s eyes have returned to clear, “Your Majesty Shea has many respectable qualities. Among them, what I admire most is Your Majesty’s vision. For example... the human Chen Rui, who was a powerless human captive at the beginning, is now the Demon Realm’s top minister of internal affairs. I think the development of the Green Shade Estate’s special zone this time should be inseparable from his planning.”
When Catherine said this, she had been observing Shea’s expression. Shea replied calmly, “Her Majesty Catherine has overpraised. As Your Majesty guessed, the special zone did contain Chen Rui’s plan. I want to appoint him as the financial minister, but unfortunately, he doesn’t care about power, and he doesn’t want to leave the Dark Moon Estate... To be precise, he is reluctant to leave his lover, the Dark Moon representative lord, the new third general of the empire, General Athena. Wales. He prefers a simple life of just doing some planning behind the scenes, so he even resigned from the post of the estate’s financial officer.”
“There is actually such a human.” Catherine smiled, “Your Majesty Shea means that if I have the conditions to ‘borrow’ this talent this time, I must bring along Athena, the lord of the Dark Moon and the third general? General Athena’s father is George, the first general of the empire, and he is loyal to Your Majesty... In this way, I seem to have no hope.”
Shea smiled slightly, “Your Majesty is humorous. Our cooperation is not based on sacrificing the interests of any party, but on a mutually beneficial win-win situation. By the way, the popularity of magic television is already quite high. Can the long-planned battle ball league between both empires be officially launched?”
“Of course, I believe that this will become a grand event that the people of the 2 empires are looking forward to. The advertisements, broadcasts, and merchandise will also bring huge economic benefits.” Catherine did not ask about Chen Rui again, and she started talking enthusiastically. However, a touch of doubt still did not dissipate from the corners of her eyes.
TL: Will Catherine notice that Chen Rui is gone? Now that the 2 empires collaborate, will the Blood Empire do something?
