Chapter 452 - Turbulence and Search
This period of time could be described as turbulent.
The genius prince Teris was severely punished for some unknown reasons. He could not see any outsiders for 6 months.
The Demon Realm’s top mechanic master and Mechanic Association’s president, Nate, used special talents to absorb other people’s skills. His evil deeds toward Master Fonsaq and others were exposed. The whistleblower was the future top appraisal master of the Demon Realm and emerging genius, Richard. Richard had another identity as a secret disciple of the dead Master Fonsaq. After exposing Nate’s true colors, he exploded himself with indignation. Nate was removed from office and imprisoned.
Second Prince Edmund and several ministers impeached Great Prince Aleus for acting arbitrarily and perversely. The important members of the second prince’s forces, including the third general of the empire, Adelaide, claimed they were ill to put pressure on Raizen the Great.
Raizen the Great scolded Second Prince Edmund’s impeachment and ordered Aleus to stay behind closed doors to reflect his wrongdoings.
When the dispute between the 2 great princes gradually subsided under Raizen the Great‘s equalization method punishing both parties, a big event suddenly happened. If the Nate incident shocked the mechanic world, then this incident shocked the entire Bloody Empire and even the Demon Realm.
The newly appointed third general, Bloodwave Legion’s commander, Adelaide, died at his home a few days ago!
The general of the Demon Realm’s strongest empire, one of the military’s 3 major leaders, actually died just like that; not on the battlefield, but in his own home!
Adelaide initially stayed at home following his illness claim in order to support Second Prince Edmund’s impeachment action, but this “disease” had become the real end!
General Adelaide was a Demon Emperor powerhouse. There must be a special reason for this inexplicable death. The leaders of the capital strictly blocked the news, and the people had different opinions. They were all guessing that Adelaide’s death must be related to the conflicts of the several princes.
In fact, Raizen the Great now had at least 2 of the most important related reports. The first was a secret memorandum by Adelaide. This secret memorandum was for Raizen in which Adelaide confessed some important things. It was worth noting that this secret memorandum had not been completed. Even so, the information revealed in it was enough to surprise Raizen. Perhaps this was the true cause of Adelaide’s death.
The second report was about a team leader of the secret intelligence department. This team leader was called Mentila. As he discovered some suspicious things about Adelaide, he was found and imprisoned by Adelaide, and he even disappeared for a period of time. When he was discovered, he had been dead for a long time. The team leader only left a special imprint when he was dying. This word appeared frequently in Adelaide’s secret memorandum as well.
This word was: “Bloodfall”.
This incident made Raizen very angry. He ordered a large-scale search of suspicious people throughout the capital and even the entire empire. Many nobles were even implicated. Judging from the unprecedented large scale hunting and striking on suspicious people, Raizen the Great was really serious this time.
In an instant, the Bloodfall organization was wiped out and bashed by the Bloody Empire, Dark Shadow Empire, and the Fallen Angel Empire at the same time. It was caught off guard and suffered heavy losses.
Perhaps even the Bloodfall did not understand why they were suddenly bashed at such a thunderous level. The Bloodfall even did not expect that the initiator of all this was a person who was “dead”.
This person was now rushing to Mountain Saxphil at the back of the Bloody Empire.
At this time, Chen Rui had almost fully recovered from all the injuries he suffered during the battle with Gustav. Through this time of recuperating, he had a further understanding of the basic law power he had realized on the 4th floor of the Book Collection Hall, and his territory power changed correspondingly. In addition, the precious information and experiences in mechanics obtained from the 4th floor also benefited him a lot.
Adelaide certainly couldn’t live on. The position of the third general of the empire allowed Adelaide to provide more intel, convenience and even further spy on the secrets of the Bloodfall, but also due to the special status, the chance of Adelaide being exposed was too high. It was almost 100%. Chen Rui didn’t think he could get past the eyes of Raizen.
Therefore, after Chen Rui’s repeated consideration, he decided to let Adelaide die abruptly. He did not want Raizen or the Bloodfall to detect the involvement of third parties. Chen Rui also made use of the previously dead secret intelligence department team leader, Mentila. “
Mentila was just a minor character, even if 100 of him died, it would not attract too much attention. However, with Adelaide’s death, his “identity” would undoubtedly rise according to the situation. In fact, there was not much information about the Bloodfall revealed by the 2. Especially Mentila only left a word, but it was enough to attract Raizen’s attention.
As for the special imprint of the secret intelligence department used in Mentila’s “last words”, it was the result of Dark Demon’s investigation. “
Perhaps Raizen had known and paid attention to the force of the “Bloodfall” long ago. The death of Third General Adelaide was just a trigger for him to eliminate the Bloodfall aggressively now. At the same time, he could shift the focus and relatively play down the contradiction between Edmund and Aleus. It could be said to kill two birds with one stone.
The turmoil of the Bloody Empire had nothing to do with Chen Rui now. He pretty much avenged for Fonsaq, and he had inflicted heavy damage on the Bloodfall. When he found the Fertile Yuan Soil, he would return to the Dark Moon Estate.
As planned, Shea who visited the Dark Shadow Empire returned to the Dark Moon earlier. The cooperation between Bloody Vine Flower Estate and the Dark Moon had reached a stable stage now. The thousand-person magician legion promised by General Crawford should be in place already. This was a huge gain.
Along the way, Chen Rui encountered a lot of the Bloody Empire Army that “was striking down” on suspicious people. Not only the army, but almost all of the secret intelligence department were also dispatched. They struck together overtly and secretly. The extent of attack was even above the Dark Shadow Empire and the Fallen Angel Empire. This was Raizen’s style. He wouldn’t simply make a move, but when he did, he would go all out.”
Fortunately, Chen Rui ordered the Dark Demon to stop spying activities long ago to avoid the limelight temporarily so as not to harm the innocent ones.
After going through many investigations along the way, Chen Rui finally entered Mountain Saxphil in the northernmost part of the Bloody Empire. Saxphil Mountain Range was originally a sparsely populated and desolate mountainous area. Further north was an undeveloped land with no people. The same was true on the edges of other empires. For instance, the Dead Sea in the southernmost part of the Blue Lava Estate. The Dead Sea still had regions to the south. The Demon Realm was very large which was far beyond the reach of the 3 empires. However, unless the empire’s population soared, their border would not expand into this area.
Chen Rui had seen the appearance of Mountain Seckred on the 4th floor of the Book Collection Hall, but because the Saxphil Mountain Range was too vast, and there were many lofty mountains and ridges were surrounded by clouds and fog, it could not be spotted clearly even via flying. Chen Rui had a feeling of finding a needle in a haystack.
Chen Rui wandered around the Saxphil Mountain Range for nearly half a month without any results. He had travelled for some time now. Even if Shea used various reasons for dispatches to cover him up, he, the financial officer, couldn’t go “missing” for a long time.
These days were not for nothing. The Saxphil Mountain Range contained rich resources. Chen Rui couldn’t detect the underground mine. However, with the help of the [Analytical Eyes] and [Deep Analysis] information, many rare plants and most of the medicinal materials were transplanted into the Star Garden. Some were stored in the storage warehouse.
In addition, he also encountered a lot of fierce and dangerous demonic beasts. The stronger the demonic beasts, the higher the wisdom. Since Chen Rui’s body exuded Demon Emperor-level breath,he could deter most demonic beasts. Although some fights did happen, there were not too many dangers in general.
On this day, Chen Rui found a purple bloodberry at the foot of the mountain. This plant had certain toxicity, but it was also a rare medicinal material. Chen Rui transplanted this purple bloodberry into the Star Garden and continued to move forward. He found out that such poisonous plants gradually increased, then he heard an abnormal sound from the front.
Chen Rui followed the source of the sound and approached over. The sound became louder and louder. The sound of fighting? It seems to be... a group fighting?
Sure enough, he saw a lot of black shadows flying across the sky. When he looked closely, it was a group of birds fighting. The larger ones were the more common black eagles. There were 4 of them in total. They were powerful predator birds. They were fast, and their claws’ strength was particularly outstanding. They could grab and fly freely with 300 kilograms of prey.
The other was a thin bird with yellow pointed beaks and claws. There were about a dozen of them. Even ordinary ground beasts were slightly deterred by predator birds like black eagle, but this kind of bird was not afraid to attack.
After all, power had the absolute advantage. Several of the little red birds were injured. Chen Rui gradually noticed that the black eagles’ target was a few nests on a big tree below where the frightened cries of the young birds were faintly heard.
Putting the black eagle aside, the little red bird caught Chen Rui’s attention. This kind of bird is a bit like...
The little red birds gradually couldn’t hold their defense, and they suddenly mutated. One of the birds’ bodies instantly swelled into a ball, then it burst apart. The force of self-explosion was very violent. The black eagles growled as their feathers scattered around. They were obviously severely injured. “
It’s really them! Even if the little red birds were still outside the range of the [Analytical Eyes], Chen Rui could already affirm their name: blast bird!
According to the information on the 4th floor of the Mechanic Association’s Book Collection Hall, the blast bird is a special species in the Mountain Seckred area!
However, he had been around this area for 2 or 3 days, and he did not see the trace of the white mountain in the data.
At this time, the black eagles changed their strategy and stopped fighting. They rushed toward the nest on the tree separately. As their speed was very fast, even if the blast bird behind self-exploded, it couldn’t keep up. In an anxious moment, 1 black eagle had swooped above the nest. Those baby birds were about to be caught.
Suddenly, its movements stagnated. Its wings fluttered, and it changed its direction abruptly. It actually fled without looking back. Not only this one, but also the other 2.
The blast birds also appeared more panicked because the dangerous breath that suddenly appeared in the nest below was far beyond the level they could match, but the explosion birds still shrieked and rushed down recklessly.
That kind of breath suddenly changed. Although it was still very powerful, it was filled with a trace of friendliness. The human figure emitting the breath appeared in front of the nest. The baby bird’s thinking was quite simple. After feeling the friendly and cordial breath, there was no longer panic and fear in their sound. Some even opened their mouths and began to fight for the food in the hands of the human figure.
The wisdom of the blast birds was not very high, but it had the characteristics of distinct likes and dislikes. After seeing this human figure drove away the black eagles and protected the young birds, their sharp shriek gradually turned into peaceful chirping.
Would the blast birds show him the way to the Mountain Seckred?
