Over the next week or so, the company’s development proceeded smoothly.
The details for the cheerleading competition had been finalized.
There was even a pleasant surprise. It wasn’t just a collaboration with major universities—even leaders from the culture and sports department stepped up to lend their support, preparing to host the event as a tripartite joint venture.
However, the person most responsible for this outcome wasn’t Lin Jiang.
It was Zhou Hejuan.
As a leader in the education sector, with her own daughter starting a business and wanting to hold such an event, she was bound to help out on the sly.
The fuse was lit, and things quickly snowballed.
When the leadership at Jiaoda learned of the matter, they naturally obliged.
With leaders from two different sectors stepping forward, the culture and sports department also felt this was a good opportunity to showcase the vibrant spirit of today’s university students, and they actively pushed for the event.
Little did they know, Lin Jiang’s initial motive was simply to watch more female university students shake their chests and legs.
For these reasons, the iQIYI platform that Qin Yangyang helped contact also showed great interest.
And so, with endorsements from multiple parties, the event got underway in full swing.
Naturally, the team led by Wang Zixuan took first place in the university’s competition.
On another front, negotiations between Berkeley and Huipin Supermarket officially broke down. Berkeley began to gradually pull out, putting some products on clearance, which in turn brought a wave of customers to Berkeley.
After the meeting that day, work on the supply chain also began in earnest, and supply agreements were signed.
In this process, Huang Youwei and He Jing both demonstrated their professional abilities. Although there were some minor flaws, they didn’t detract from the overall excellence. On the whole, they handled many problems very well.
Meanwhile, He Siyao’s skills had also improved by leaps and bounds. The little pet was already capable of holding her own.
In addition, the land for Mu Xing’s expansion was approved, and construction began at a rapid pace.
Thanks to the contract manufacturing strategy, shipment volumes and market share expanded further. It even revitalized those small factories, boosting local employment and fostering a good working relationship with the relevant authorities. Everything was moving in an excellent direction.
As one waxed and the other waned, Mu Xing’s rapid rise caused Yong’an’s market share to shrink further, falling to less than half of what it once was.
But during this period, the busiest person was still Lin Jiang, who was swamped on both fronts.
He spent his days exploring deep, slick passages, sometimes getting doused by a great torrent. The sensation was simply electrifying.
「Chen Jingxian’s home. The living room...」
Four dishes and a soup were set on the table, perfect in color, aroma, and taste. Chen Jingxian’s cooking skills were getting better and better.
"MCN agencies are just for online influencers. They rely on a single platform—in other words, they live and die by TikTok. We’d have to walk on eggshells around them. If you really want to explore this area, I think a media company would be better."
Chen Jingxian stated her opinion.
"Even though we don’t have the resources right now, we can totally cultivate our own girl group. Songs, movies—as long as we have the money, we can make it happen. With the right management, if just one of them breaks out, all our work won’t have been for nothing."
After hearing Chen Jingxian’s suggestion, Lin Jiang thought it was reasonable.
’Although there’s always a bigger fish in the world of capital, being constrained by a single platform is like putting all your eggs in one basket.’ Lin Jiang definitely couldn’t accept that.
Chen Jingxian got up and brought over her laptop.
She sat down next to Lin Jiang and opened a spreadsheet.
"This is the registration list President Qiu sent me. It’s not just regular universities participating. Schools like the provincial sports universities, the Central Academy of Drama, and the Shanghai Theatre Academy have all registered. I don’t need to tell you how gorgeous the people from these schools are, or what great figures they have. If we recruit them, we might just find someone who can make it big."
Lin Jiang tilted his head, glancing at Chen Jingxian’s full, curvaceous figure.
"No matter how great their figures are, could they be any better than yours?"
Hm?
Chen Jingxian paused, then lightly slapped Lin Jiang’s leg. "We’re talking business. Stop staring."
"It’s fine. I can multitask. It won’t get in the way of business."
"I’ll smack you."
Ignoring Lin Jiang’s aggressive gaze, Chen Jingxian said:
"If you’re interested in this, we need to start preparing now. If not, then we’ll shelve the plan."
"I’ll think about it some more."
Lin Jiang didn’t answer right away.
’He didn’t have any top-tier resources. He could throw money at film and music rights, but there was no guarantee he’d get anything good. In the end, it might all just fizzle out into a complete mess.’
"The competition is already underway. It’ll be over in about three months, so you don’t have much time to think."
"I know."
After dinner, Lin Jiang lay down on the sofa. Chen Jingxian brought him some fruit and naturally sat on the other side of the sofa, placing his legs on her lap.
Subtly, Lin Jiang moved his leg, rubbing it against Chen Jingxian’s soft belly.
’It was soft and plump, and it felt amazing.’
"Rascal, hold still."
"It’s so soft, it feels good rubbing against it. I have to experience it again..."
As he spoke, Lin Jiang brushed against her again. The sensation was incredible. It seemed like he even touched...
"I’ll pinch you! Stop that!"
With that, Chen Jingxian pounced on him, her hands landing on his waist.
He reached out to block her, and the two began to wrestle playfully on the sofa.
