Buying a house!?
First, she was suspicious. Now, hearing that Lin Jiang had actually bought a house, Qin Yangyang’s mind was reeling.
’She didn’t think Lin Jiang would joke about something like this. Besides, with a female sales agent right there with him, it couldn’t possibly be a lie.’
’How could a noodle shop owner possibly afford a home at Century Triumph?’
’Are his noodles made with gold particles, or is the broth boiled with them?’
"You said you were coming to look at houses yesterday. I thought you were just browsing, but I didn’t expect you to actually buy one."
Qin Yangyang said, feigning composure, "Why didn’t you say something before you bought it? I might have been able to get you an internal discount."
As she spoke, Qin Yangyang looked at Zhao Fangfei.
"Which unit did Mr. Lin buy?"
"The 681-square-meter one, unit C2401."
square meters!
’That’s the 165 million yuan one!’
Qin Yangyang was even more stunned.
’That’s 165 million yuan!’
"Has the payment been completed? Did he get a discount?"
"Yes." Zhao Fangfei nodded and said apologetically,
"Mr. Lin didn’t mention knowing anyone, so we didn’t offer a discount."
"Well, that’s that. The money’s already gone to finance, so it’s impossible to get a discount now." Qin Yangyang looked at Lin Jiang and said,
"I know their general manager. When I have a moment, I’ll chat with him and see if I can get you something back."
"If it’s too much trouble, don’t worry about it. Favors like that are the hardest to repay."
"It’s fine, not a big deal," Qin Yangyang said. "You’re here to handle the paperwork, right?"
"Yeah."
"Let’s go. I’ll come with you, it’ll make things easier."
"Alright, then. Thanks for the trouble."
The three of them went to the property management office together. Zhao Fangfei was a little confused, unsure of who this woman was.
’But judging by her demeanor, she seems to have some connection to the property management company.’
"President Qin, you’re back."
Qin Yangyang didn’t hold an official position in the company, but she was listed as a vice president.
The property management staff all addressed her this way.
"This is my friend. He just bought a house in Century Triumph, and I’m here to help him with the paperwork," Qin Yangyang said.
"Waive three years of property management and parking fees, arrange for a private butler to be his dedicated point of contact, and ensure any issues are resolved immediately."
"Yes, yes, of course. I’ll arrange it right away," the assistant property manager said with a nod, making a welcoming gesture.
"President Qin, shall we head up to the second floor?"
The group went up to the second floor. Under Qin Yangyang’s direction, the property management paperwork was quickly completed.
All that was left was the property deed, which would be ready within half a month. He could just come pick it up then.
’But with Qin Yangyang here, I bet that timeframe will be a lot shorter,’ Lin Jiang thought.
"Mr. Lin, I’ll call you when the property deed is ready. You can just come pick it up. If it’s inconvenient for you, I can also deliver it," Zhao Fangfei said.
"Okay, no rush."
Zhao Fangfei wanted to chat a bit more with Lin Jiang. After all, it was already noon, and she could use this as an opportunity to invite him to lunch.
But since Qin Yangyang showed no sign of leaving, Zhao Fangfei couldn’t say anything more and had to depart.
"Mr. Lin, I won’t disturb you and your friend any longer. If you have any questions about the house, feel free to message me."
"Alright, thank you for your hard work."
"You’re too kind."
Zhao Fangfei turned and left, leaving Lin Jiang and Qin Yangyang standing there.
"You’re one of our clients now. If there’s anything unsatisfactory about the property management’s work, please don’t hesitate to give us your feedback."
"You waived the property fees and gave me a private butler. Even if there were problems, I couldn’t bring myself to complain now," Lin Jiang said with a smile.
"Business is business. That’s nothing, really."
After a few more lines of awkward small talk, Qin Yangyang changed the subject.
"Do you have any other plans later?"
"Nope, I was about to head back to the shop."
"Perfect. Yesterday, Youyou kept telling me I should go try your noodles. I happen to be free this afternoon, so I can stop by and show some support."
"’Showing support’ sounds too formal. It’s my treat today."
"You’re our client now, no need to be so polite. Let’s go."
"Alright."
Chatting as they walked, the two left the residential complex, got into their respective cars, and drove toward the noodle shop.
Just as the two of them left, Chen Jingjia appeared from a side path, carrying her bag.
"Manager, you’re back."
A property attendant handed her a cup of water.
Chen Jingjia nodded. "I’ve been in meetings all morning, I’m exhausted. Did anything happen this morning?"
"Nothing major, but the big boss’s daughter came by. We were all on pins and needles, but thankfully nothing went wrong."
"The boss has two daughters. Which one was it?"
"The one who’s a lawyer. You know how a few homeowners got scammed? She came to look into the situation. Also, a friend of hers spent over a hundred million on a house in our complex, and she brought him over to handle the paperwork."
"A house worth over a hundred million... That must be the 681-square-meter one, right?"
"Yep, that’s the one."
"Rich people are really on another level. Even their social circles are different."
Chen Jingjia sighed with emotion.
’Good god, I’ve never seen that much money in my life, not even in the movies!’
’The lives of the rich really are different. It would be amazing if I could live in a house like this one day.’
On the way back, Lin Jiang had to pass Zhou Chengrong’s noodle shop, and he glanced outside.
The promotional discount was still ongoing—not only 50% off but also a free drink—yet there were only a few scattered customers inside.
’Now that my shop is popular, the more they lower their prices, the fewer customers they get.’
’If they had a huge customer base, they might not be losing money. But in this situation, they’re going to lose their shirts.’
After a quick glance, Lin Jiang drove to his noodle shop. Just as he parked the car, he saw Qin Youyou jogging over.
"Brother Jiang, I heard you bought a house at Century Triumph! And that it cost over a hundred million," Qin Youyou said, looking at Lin Jiang.
"And this car, is it yours too? My dad also drives a Maybach."
"Then I guess your dad and I are car buddies," Lin Jiang said with a hearty laugh.
"You’ve bought a luxury car and a mansion, so why are you still running a noodle shop here? Don’t tell me you’re a rich kid trying to gain life experience, like me."
’To earn money for property fees and gas, of course!’
"Don’t flatter yourself. He’s not like you," Qin Yangyang retorted with a laugh.
"Look who’s talking! Yesterday, you were the one saying Brother Jiang couldn’t afford a house at Century Triumph. I guess he proved you wrong, huh?"
"What nonsense are you spouting? When did I ever say he couldn’t afford it?" Qin Yangyang shot a flustered glare at Qin Youyou, scaring her into silence.
Lin Jiang just smiled, not minding it.
’A noodle shop owner saying he’s going to buy a house at Century Triumph... Of course, no one would believe that.’
"Come on, let’s go eat first."
"Hehe, let’s go." Qin Youyou linked arms with Qin Yangyang. "Today, I’m going to show you just how delicious Brother Jiang’s noodles are."
Qin Yangyang smiled, not thinking much of it.
In reality, she hadn’t intended to come here to eat noodles.
’How good can noodles really be?’
’It’s just that at this level, a friend like Lin Jiang is worth making. Plus, I can help my sister check him out.’
The moment she stepped through the door, Qin Yangyang was stunned by the scene inside.
The room was packed with people, nearly everyone sharing tables. There was barely any room to even stand.
’I thought Lin Jiang’s noodle shop might be popular, but I never expected it to be this popular.’
Just then, Li Yuanyuan hurried over.
"Brother Jiang, a food blogger came by this morning and said our noodles aren’t good."
