Hearing Qin Youyou’s thoughts, Lin Jiang’s curiosity was piqued.
’What did she buy?’
’She’s being a little mysterious about it.’
"No problem. The day after tomorrow, then."
After parking in the underground garage, Lin Jiang drove the Maybach, first taking Qin Youyou out to eat, then dropping her off at her company.
"Brother Jiang, I’m heading off. If my mom doesn’t let me go out the day after tomorrow, you’ll have to step in and help."
"You’re worried Aunt Jiang won’t let you go?"
"It’s possible. There’s been so much going on at the company lately, she really might not let me go."
"Alright, leave it to me."
"Mhm."
"Brother Jiang, I’m off. Bye-bye."
"Bye."
Qin Youyou got out of the car, and Lin Jiang drove toward his company.
RING RING RING—
On the way back, Qiu Yunong called.
"Brother Jiang, are you busy? Is it a good time to talk?"
"It is. What’s up?"
"Someone from the PRC Team just contacted our company’s operations department. They want to open an account and get authorization for live streaming. They said you’d already approved it."
"Yes, we were the ones who contacted them for you," Lin Jiang said.
"We’re currently lacking top-tier accounts. If the PRC Team joins us and provides some exclusive information, it will be great for driving traffic."
"Brother Jiang, you’re the best! Are you at the office? I wanted to give you a work report."
"Alright, come to my office."
"Okay, I’ll just get my things and head over."
After hanging up with Qiu Yunong, Lin Jiang chuckled.
’She said she was coming to give a report, but which mouth she’d be using for that report was another question entirely.’
Soon, Lin Jiang drove back to his company and called a meeting.
He laid out the plans for Mu Xing’s future business development.
After what happened today, Li Wuyang would definitely make some moves to stop his decline.
’What I need to do on my end is to patch up any weaknesses and not leave any openings for my opponent.’
’You can kick apart a wooden bucket, but not an iron one.’
In addition, he also gave detailed instructions on the management and development of the noodle and barbecue restaurant chains.
It took about an hour to lay out all the related matters, and by then, Qiu Yunong had been waiting for a long time.
After the meeting, Lin Jiang brought Qiu Yunong to his office.
"Sugar Daddy, you’re so handsome when you’re in a meeting."
Standing before his desk, Qiu Yunong gazed at Lin Jiang, her eyes dripping with desire.
"If you were wearing a suit, I’d be completely captivated. If you told me to go east, I wouldn’t dare go west."
"I’ll put on a suit later and hold a private meeting just for you."
"Oh, I can’t, I can’t, I can’t even think about it. If I keep thinking, I won’t be able to take it."
’Looking at Qiu Yunong, Lin Jiang figured it wasn’t just her eyes that were dripping; other parts of her probably were, too.’
"Let’s talk business first."
"Sugar Daddy, I’d rather talk business later..."
Qiu Yunong’s eyes, intentionally or not, drifted to the huge space under the desk.
Lin Jiang wrapped an arm around Qiu Yunong. "Have you been dancing too much lately? Got those hormones pumping?"
Qiu Yunong’s voice softened. "A little..."
"Go lock the door so no one walks in."
"Got it..."
Qiu Yunong turned, locked the door, and then, very proactively, moved to where she was supposed to be.
Lin Jiang sat in his office chair, watching Qiu Yunong bobbing up and down, a sense of conquest swelling within him.
"Sugar Daddy, I think you’re truly gifted..."
"How so?"
"Every time I see it, it seems to have changed..." Qiu Yunong said, her eyes hazy.
"Another day of being conquered..."
"Let’s save time. Besides reporting on *this* particular task, what else did you have to report?"
"Actually, I just wanted to know about the PRC Team. Are you confident you’ll win the race the day after tomorrow?" Qiu Yunong said.
"You’re just opening an account and taking people to do a live stream. We’re a third party; winning or losing isn’t our concern."
"The situation is more complicated than you think," Qiu Yunong said.
"Actually, the operations staff at the company knew about this race for a while. They knew that Zhonghai’s PRC and CTC teams were participating, but we didn’t have the connections to get media credentials."
Lin Jiang listened quietly.
’Only then did he realize that these two teams were apparently quite famous, much better than some of those pretender teams that are all show and no go.’
Qiu Yunong continued her work, saying:
"Our product’s daily active users are gradually increasing, and we’ve started to make a name for ourselves among similar products. On that front, our only competitor is Trendy World, which is under Xi Yuan. But I heard their boss is part of the CTC Team, so naturally, they got the live streaming rights. In this race, they’ll definitely be rooting for the CTC Team. Now that we have this opportunity, we want to focus our attention on the PRC Team. Brother Jiang, you understand what I’m getting at, right?"
"Trendy World is a Xi Yuan product?"
Qiu Yunong paused her movements and looked up at Lin Jiang. "Sugar Daddy, you know that company too?"
"It’s Xi Yuan Technology Co., Ltd., right? The boss is Zhou Shengqun, and he has two sons, one named Zhou Jin and the other Zhou Sui?"
Qiu Yunong looked at Lin Jiang in surprise.
"You even know that?"
"We’re co-shareholders in another company. We just don’t have a very good relationship," Lin Jiang said.
"But I didn’t expect a Xi Yuan product to be a competitor to yours."
"That’s why I’m asking about the PRC Team’s strength and whether they can win the race," Qiu Yunong said.
"If the PRC Team is confident they can win, we can build up hype after the race and completely overshadow Trendy World’s momentum."
Lin Jiang didn’t answer right away.
He wasn’t familiar with the skill levels of the two teams.
