The four of them were led to the reception desk. Payment here was divided into two options: package deals and à la carte tickets.
As long as you were willing to spend money, you could experience all sorts of legitimate services.
As for the less-than-legitimate ones... well, that was anyone’s guess.
"Four of the 1,999 packages."
With that, Lin Jiang scanned the code to pay. The four of them each took a key fob and were led upstairs by an attendant.
The club offered a variety of services, including baths, health treatments, dining, KTV, and private reception rooms.
What to do first was entirely up to the customers’ whims.
"Hm?"
"Brother Jiang, can we go do some karaoke?" Yang Tao whispered.
"Singing? You mean... just singing?"
"The songs will be perfectly respectable, of course. As for everything else..." Yang Tao snickered, leaving the rest unsaid.
"Go ahead. Spend what you need to. Try out everything they have to offer."
"Got it."
Once on the second floor, the group went their separate ways.
Lin Jiang had no interest in singing karaoke with hostesses. He’d much rather take a bath and relax.
Even though he’d never been to the Haojie Business Club before, places like this were all pretty similar, so he generally knew the ropes.
After his bath, Lin Jiang went to his private room.
Since he’d bought the most expensive package, the private rooms were all individual. When he entered, fruit and tea were already laid out. There was also a television, and paired with the pink mood lighting, the ambiance was set to the max.
RING RING RING—
Just then, Lin Jiang’s phone rang. It was Qin Yangyang.
"What’s President Lin so busy with?"
Qin Yangyang’s voice was tinged with a playful, teasing tone as she said,
"Calling President Lin at a time like this... I’m not interrupting your work, am I?"
"You are, actually. So, Lawyer Qin, make it quick."
"Alright, I’ll get straight to the point. President Lin, you gave my mother a watch, and your dear Aunt Jiang is thrilled."
"And is my Qin Lu happy?"
"Your Qin Lu is... barely happy, I guess," Qin Yangyang said, feigning indifference.
"I spent nearly 200,000, and you’re only ’barely happy’? Do I need to light the signal towers for you to be completely satisfied?"
"Forget the signal towers. You’d better hurry up and make good on your promise."
"What promise?"
"Didn’t you say you could make them a cup size bigger? Not only have they not grown, I feel like they’ve gotten smaller."
"Didn’t I say you’d see results in three days? We’ve only done it for one. Of course there’s no effect yet."
"Fine, I’ll give you two more days. But if it doesn’t work, you’ll see what I do to you."
"Wrong! We need another three days."
"Are you trying to trick me? We already did one day."
"I said it had to be three *consecutive* days. Since we broke the streak, we have to start over."
"You’re doing this on purpose! You’re such a bully."
"Hey, something came up. Besides, I’m only doing this for your own good."
"Explain yourself. How is this for my own good?"
"This way, you get to enjoy it for an extra day, right?"
"Believe it or not, I’ll bite you."
"You can bite that."
"I’m done talking to you. I’m going to take a shower."
"Let me know when you’re back, and I’ll come pick you up."
"I’m pretty busy with a case, so it’ll be a few more days. Don’t worry about me, just take care of your own business."
"Alright. Go take your shower."
"Mm."
Lin Jiang hung up. The CLACK CLACK CLACK of high heels was already approaching from outside the door.
A glance toward the door was all it took for Lin Jiang’s spirits to lift.
He saw a black uniform top and a short black miniskirt that left her thighs exposed. The visual impact was off the charts.
He couldn’t see her face clearly, but her figure alone was worth the price of admission.
"Hello, sir. Technician 28, here for your service."
The technician walked in carrying a silver case, turned to lock the door behind her, and sat down by Lin Jiang’s feet.
Suddenly!
The two of them froze.
"He Siyao?"
"Lin Jiang?!"
What’s it like to order a massage and have your college’s campus belle walk in?
Meeting like this, years after graduation, was more than a little awkward for them both.
Back in college, He Siyao had been the undisputed campus belle of Zhonghai Business University.
She was the dream girl, the ’white moonlight,’ for countless guys on campus. He and she had even had a bit of history, though they never ended up together.
Back then, He Siyao, always in a white dress, had captivated countless boys. Now, she was in a short skirt and a uniform, her face covered in heavy makeup. The stark contrast left Lin Jiang feeling a bit dazed.
"I must look like a joke."
He Siyao kept her head down, at a loss for words.
"I remember your family being pretty well-off. How did you end up doing... this?"
"Things happened... My grades weren’t great, and I couldn’t find a decent job, so this was all I could do."
He Siyao still wouldn’t look up, as if she couldn’t bear to face him.
"I find that hard to believe. Even without the qualifications, with a face like yours, you could easily find a job to support yourself."
"The pay is too low. I also have to pay off my family’s debts."
"A gambling father, a sick mother, a younger brother to support through school, a broken home... That seems to be everyone’s favorite sob story."
He Siyao frowned and bit her lip.
"Lin Jiang, for old times’ sake, I’m begging you. Please, don’t say things like that. Just leave me a little dignity. I can still perform the service for you."
"I didn’t mean anything by it, don’t read too much into it. It’s just that... everyone’s reasons really are pretty much the same."
"Some people really are in that situation, but others are just in it for the fast money," He Siyao said quietly.
"So you’re a bit of both, then."
"Yes... Let me start your service."
"Let’s skip the service. Like you said, we’re old classmates. Let’s just talk," Lin Jiang said, sitting cross-legged on the bed.
"But... but..."
