"Sigh..."
Zhao Fangfei didn’t ask Lin Jiang to leave, continuing to show off her figure.
’To capture my pet, I’m willing to play along.’
"What’s wrong?"
"I feel like my figure has gotten so much worse."
As she spoke, Zhao Fangfei kept turning at different angles to display her body.
"Before, my butt was perky even without pants like these. Now, I need a little outside help."
As she said this, Zhao Fangfei looked at Lin Jiang.
"Brother Jiang, how about we make a deal?"
’An import/export business?’
"What kind of deal?"
"From now on, I’ll help you clean your place and cook, and you can be my trainer and help me get a great body. How does that sound?"
’She’s laying all her cards on the table.’
"Of course, no problem."
"Hehe, then it’s a deal. I’m keeping these pants and shoes."
"Okay."
Lin Jiang turned and walked out. Zhao Fangfei changed her clothes, then brought the shoes and pants to the counter.
"I’ll get it."
Lin Jiang didn’t waste any words and paid first.
’The condition for capture is to spend 100,000 yuan on her. I can get started now.’
"Brother Jiang, you’re buying me things again! You’re making me feel embarrassed," Zhao Fangfei said coquettishly.
"Just come over and clean my place more often from now on."
"Alright then. I guess this is the only way I can repay you."
Linking her arm with Lin Jiang’s, the two started wandering around again.
As they walked, Zhao Fangfei stopped in front of a shop window, her gaze falling on a white, striped dress.
"Brother Jiang, what do you think of this dress?"
"It’s nice. Go try it on."
’Only a little over 3,000 yuan. Still a long way from the capture requirement.’
"Mhm."
Zhao Fangfei went to the fitting room with the dress. After coming out, she stood before Lin Jiang.
"Brother Jiang, how is it?"
"It’s great. Just wear it for the rest of the day."
"Okay, I’ll listen to Brother Jiang."
Lin Jiang paid, and the two walked out of the store.
"Brother Jiang, it’s about time. Let’s go see a movie."
"Mhm."
They arrived at the movie theater, had their tickets checked, and went into the screening hall to find their seats.
Zhao Fangfei was good at picking movies. She didn’t choose a romance or a comedy, but a thriller.
During some of the suspenseful scenes, she would curl into a ball and clutch Lin Jiang’s arm with both hands, not minding at all as her ample chest pressed against him.
The movie was about two hours long. Zhao Fangfei only watched the first half-hour on her own; for the remaining hour and a half, she was constantly clinging to Lin Jiang’s arm.
Her whole act was about being a timid little girl who needed her big brother to protect her.
After the movie, it was already past eleven at night.
"Huh? Fangfei, you’re here watching a movie too?"
The two had just left their seats and were walking out of the theater when they unexpectedly heard someone speak from behind them.
They subconsciously turned around and saw a man and a woman behind them.
The woman wore a slip dress. She had a curvaceous figure but was on the slender side—not as full as Zhao Fangfei.
But Lin Jiang’s attention was on the man beside her.
He looked somewhat familiar, but on closer inspection, he also seemed like a stranger, which Lin Jiang found a bit odd.
The woman’s name was Feng Qi. She was Zhao Fangfei’s roommate. She had co-founded a dance studio with someone else, and the two of them shared an apartment.
Although the two were best friends, they were also secretly competing with each other.
Recently, Feng Qi had gotten a rich boyfriend, and her quality of life had skyrocketed. She frequently visited high-end places and would often subtly flex on Zhao Fangfei, which made Zhao Fangfei very annoyed. She wanted to strike back but had never found the chance.
"What a coincidence. You guys are watching a movie here too."
Feng Qi sized up Lin Jiang, finding him surprisingly handsome. Most importantly, his aura was so much better than Zhou Sui’s—he was practically a walking aphrodisiac.
"Fangfei, is this your boyfriend?"
"Well..."
For a moment, Zhao Fangfei didn’t know how to answer.
She definitely wanted to say yes but was afraid Lin Jiang wouldn’t go along with it. If he exposed her on the spot, it would be awkward.
In the end, Zhao Fangfei decided to take the risk.
She believed that with Lin Jiang’s emotional intelligence, he wouldn’t embarrass her.
"Yes," Zhao Fangfei said with a nod.
"Let me introduce you. This is my boyfriend, Lin Jiang."
Then, Zhao Fangfei took the initiative to introduce the others to Lin Jiang.
"Brother Jiang, this is my roommate, Feng Qi, and this is her boyfriend, Zhou Sui."
"Hello."
Zhou Sui nodded but didn’t speak, appearing very aloof.
He had noticed Feng Qi’s gaze kept drifting, intentionally or not, toward Lin Jiang, which made him very uncomfortable.
Feng Qi proactively linked arms with Zhao Fangfei.
"You’re so secretive! You got a boyfriend and didn’t even tell me."
"I wanted to be low-key about it and tell you when the time was right. I just didn’t expect you to run into us today."
"We’re best friends! Even if you don’t tell anyone else, you have to tell me."
Holding Zhao Fangfei’s arm, Feng Qi said:
"Now that you have a boyfriend, the mountain climbing trip for tomorrow is set in stone, right? You can’t bail again."
"I can’t say for sure. It still depends on whether my Brother Jiang has time. He’s very busy with work."
Zhao Fangfei stole a glance at Lin Jiang, her eyes filled with a hint of anticipation.
She really hoped Lin Jiang would go with her.
She knew perfectly well why Feng Qi wanted her to go mountain climbing.
She just wanted to flex in front of her, to show off her rich boyfriend. That was why Zhao Fangfei had kept using the excuse of being busy with work and hadn’t given her a clear answer.
But if Lin Jiang could go with her, things would be different.
Her boyfriend might be rich, but he was nowhere near Lin Jiang’s level.
’If he comes with me, I won’t have anything to be afraid of.’
