Following the direction Wang Haichen was pointing, they did indeed see a two-tone Maybach.
"It looks like his car, but we can’t be sure it’s actually his, can we?" Pan Yongbin said cautiously.
"That’s easy enough. Let’s go take a look."
Wang Haichen started the car and discreetly circled around.
"It’s his car! I remember his license plate!"
"What the hell is he doing at the airport?" Pan Yongbin said, frowning.
"Probably here to pick someone up. I’ve got some bats in the car, let’s go teach him a lesson."
"No way. I have something more important to do. The mission right now is to win over Lin Qiangwei. We can’t let him get in the way of what matters."
"Fine."
Wang Haichen calmed down, realizing he had gotten a little carried away.
’Lin Jiang is a damn good fighter. Even with the two of us together, we might not be able to beat him.’
"Don’t be so hasty," Pan Yongbin said. "He’s always at that noodle shop. If we want to get him, there will be plenty of opportunities."
"Yeah."
Wang Haichen leaned back in his seat and pointed at the arrivals exit.
"People are coming out. Shouldn’t you give her a call?"
"Good idea."
Forgetting all about Lin Jiang, Pan Yongbin picked up his phone and called Lin Qiangwei.
"Weiwei, what are you up to?"
Pan Yongbin said, putting on a soft, affected voice, every bit the desperate sycophant.
"Just out for a walk. I just got back from the beach. What about you?"
"I was just thinking about you."
"You sure know what to say. I’m going to take a shower, I’m a little tired. If I don’t message you back later, it means I’ve fallen asleep, so don’t text me again."
"Okay, sure. I’ll come pick you up tomorrow."
"Okay."
After just a few words, Lin Qiangwei hung up.
"Trying to fool me with such a pathetic little trick? She must not know who I, Pan Yongbin, am."
"Brother Bin, I see her!" Wang Haichen said excitedly.
"You can go over now! Just pop up in front of her with those red roses. I bet she’ll be so moved she’ll burst into tears."
"Wait for me in the car..."
Pan Yongbin grabbed the roses, got out of the car, and slipped around the crowd, planning to appear behind Lin Qiangwei and give her a surprise.
Lin Qiangwei had a very consistent style. She was wearing a lace wrap dress embroidered with blue flowers. The most immediate impression she gave was that she was well-endowed everywhere; there wasn’t a single small part on her entire body.
She was the perfect embodiment of an hourglass figure.
Especially when she walked, you could even see the alluring indentations on her lower back.
A woman like that was dynamite, capable of making any man’s hormones explode with ease.
Pan Yongbin was now only a few dozen meters away from her, and the distance was closing.
Everyone coming out of the arrivals gate saw Pan Yongbin.
The women’s eyes filled with envy, while the men cursed silently.
’Where did this asshole come from, pulling a stunt like this? If my girlfriend sees this, she’s going to chew me out for not being romantic again.’
"He’s holding roses, he must be here to pick up his girlfriend."
"I bet when his girlfriend sees him, she’ll be moved to tears."
"Or maybe she’s not his girlfriend yet. He could be here to confess his feelings."
"I have to record this. I’m going to show my husband later. He hasn’t bought me flowers in years."
Hearing the onlookers’ comments, Pan Yongbin’s heart began to race. He grew more and more excited.
This feeling of being the center of attention... it was as if he were the main character of the world.
"Hey, handsome! Are you here to pick up your girlfriend or to confess to your secret crush?" a nosy bystander asked.
"I’m here for my girlfriend. She came back early and has no idea I’m here to get her. Keep your voices down, please. I want it to be a surprise."
Following Pan Yongbin’s gaze, the crowd of onlookers saw Lin Qiangwei walking ahead.
When they saw her figure, men and women alike looked on with envy.
Other than the two words "top-tier," no other adjective came to mind.
With all eyes on him, Pan Yongbin quickened his pace again, eager to give Lin Qiangwei a romantic surprise in front of everyone.
Just then, Pan Yongbin saw Lin Qiangwei pull out her phone and make a call to someone.
"Where are you?"
"Don’t hang up, let me find your car first."
After saying this, Lin Qiangwei picked up her pace.
Pan Yongbin frowned slightly.
’Is she calling a rideshare driver?’
’It’s so late, that must be it.’
A simp knows how to console himself.
"I don’t know, something feels off. It sounds like someone else is here to pick her up," one of the onlookers commented.
"She doesn’t know I’m here. She’s calling a rideshare driver," Pan Yongbin explained.
"Oh, I see."
Pan Yongbin sped up, getting ready to catch up to Lin Qiangwei.
At the same moment, Lin Qiangwei’s voice carried over.
"Okay, I see your car."
With that, Lin Qiangwei hung up and walked even faster.
Pan Yongbin followed quietly, but after a few steps, he froze...
Because he saw Lin Jiang’s car!
As everyone watched, Lin Qiangwei got into Lin Jiang’s Maybach.
BGM: I should be under the car, not in it...
Pan Yongbin’s eyes went vacant. His expression crumbled. Holding the flowers, he stood there, completely at a loss.
The crowd of onlookers was also confused.
They looked at the departing Maybach, then back at Pan Yongbin holding his roses.
"Normally, no one uses a Maybach for ridesharing, right?"
"Of course not! That’s a Maybach!"
"Did you guys see the driver? He was a young, really handsome guy."
"Well, that solves the mystery. The girl came back early to meet up with her other man."
"Ouch. I guess that’s one way to find out."
The eyes of the onlookers all turned to Pan Yongbin.
