Year 10,750 of the Blue Star Xia calendar, Mahayana Star
After five hundred years of development, Mahayana Star has completely surpassed Blue Star, thanks in part to Lin Jiang’s strong support for Mahayana Star.
To help Mahayana Star grow, Lin Jiang nearly emptied Blue Star; most of the Spiritual Energy Research Institute has been moved there, and over a hundred universities from Blue Star Huaxia have branches in Mahayana Star, with even better teaching staff than in Blue Star.
Major corporations have also established branches in Mahayana Star, and many skilled workers have come to work there, as if Blue Star was just a branch.
Additionally, in terms of policy, Lin Jiang has given Mahayana Star the strongest support, and with its population reaching 13 billion, Mahayana Star has achieved such greatness.
"If you enter the Demon Domain now, the timing may not be great; there has been peace for five hundred years, and war is about to break out again."
Lin Jiang said to Liang Long, who had already shared the events that took place in Tree Star with him.
In the end, Liang Long did not kill the tree demon but managed to control him. From him, Liang Long learned a lot about the Demon Domain and shared the information with Lin Jiang through a Soul Fragment. Liang Long is now very interested in exploring the Demon Domain.
"Tree Star is the outermost planet of the Demon Domain, about seven or eight thousand light-years away from us. The core area of the Demon Domain is over ten thousand light-years from us. Such a long distance makes it very difficult to travel back and forth. The immortals of the Heavenly Court don’t care if I’m missing."
"You have a point, but it isn’t very safe after all."
"Ancestor Lin, my Main Soul is in Lingyun Star. As long as my Main Soul does not perish, I cannot die. What is there to fear? Now I am more curious about the life planets; many civilizations are lost in the river of time. I want to seek out their stories. Don’t you think that’s cool, Ancestor Lin?"
"Yes, very cool! Much cooler than just fighting for power or killing. Since you are so determined, I won’t stop you. Do as you wish. I can also approve a special budget for you to build a brand new Space Mother Ship for your Main Soul, equipped with stronger rule weapons, to meet with your previous Soul Fragment. How does that sound?"
"Then thank you very much, Ancestor Lin."
Liang Long laughed loudly, pleased that the Space Mother Ship he took was somewhat outdated; it was considered obsolete in Blue Star.
"Master, recently the planets in Tianbei are getting restless and want to make a move against the Buddhist sect."
A few days later, Ye Chen requested a meeting. Upon meeting, Ye Chen told Lin Jiang that the planets in Tianbei seemed to be restless.
"It must be those people from the Tianyuan Star Domain who are stirring things up."
"Yes, led by someone named Gu Yang from the Transmigration Stage, they have convinced many people and even traveled to the Tianyuan Star Domain to investigate. They found that the Buddhist sect there is also developing technological products, which made them even more excited. It seems that the time for fighting is not far off."
Ye Chen said that among the Tianbei Star Domain, the strongest desire to join the battle comes from those people from the Tianyuan Star Domain who are scattered across various planets. During the great war, about forty million people from the Tianyuan Star Domain escaped, including over six hundred cultivators who had reached the Tao Achieving stage or higher.
For the past few centuries, although the Tianbei Star Domain has taken them in, they are still refugees, and life is very hard for them. They constantly want to fight their way back to the Tianyuan Star Domain and have been persuading the leaders of various planets.
"If a fight is coming, we must be ready. Our words alone do not matter, and we shouldn’t seek the spotlight."
"Master, if a battle happens, our Mahayana Star will be the first to face it."
"That may not necessarily be true. It depends on how the fighting goes. If they attack Yinfang Star first and then push towards the Tianyuan Star Domain, we might be safe."
"Master, that’s true, but it’s almost impossible. Those wandering cultivators can’t offer anything to persuade the people of the Tianbei Star Domain to fight against the Tianyuan Star Domain. They will likely first take over the Buddhist sect in the Tianbei Star Domain. Once they start, the Buddhist sect will definitely come to rescue, and with the sect’s rescue, our Mahayana Star will face a huge barrier."
Ye Chen said that fighting is about benefits. If the people from the Tianyuan Star Domain cannot offer enough benefits, the Tianbei Star Domain will not attack the strong Buddhist Sect of Tianyuan Star Domain, but instead, they will take action against the Buddhist Sect of the Tianbei Star Domain.
The Buddhist sect of the Tianbei Star Domain was split in two because the Mahayana Star fell. The Mahayana Star is stuck in the middle; no matter which part is attacked, the Buddhist sect must send help, and to help, they must take action against the Mahayana Star
"Don’t worry, we will take it step by step."
Lin Jiang said that Ye Chen still did not know what the world of immortals was like, how to fight; what a cultivator said did not count, only what an immortal said mattered. The immortals of the Tianyuan Star Domain still had their powers.
Three months later, Lin Jiang received a message from the Heavenly Court, asking him to come and discuss matters. This was news from the Heavenly Emperor, and Lin Jiang did not dare to be slow, so he went to the Heavenly Court.
When he arrived at the great hall of the Heavenly Court, Lin Jiang saw many familiar faces, exchanging greetings. After the star domain network was established, many immortals began to surf the internet since they were often bored during their free time. They enjoyed traditional pastimes like drinking tea and playing chess, but they became tired of those, so they turned to the more colorful online world.
There was a story about an immortal who lost thirty-two times in a certain game. That immortal was frustrated and asked Lin Jiang to speak to the game company and help him get an advantage. Most online games are published by Blue Star, and Lin Jiang owned shares in many of them, so he agreed to help him dominate the game.
Some other immortals also had requests, like wanting the address of a certain internet celebrity, and Lin Jiang agreed to these minor requests, making more friends.
Lin Jiang glanced around the scene; almost every planet from the two Star Domains had representatives present, and even Liang Long had manifested a Soul Fragment. The most active were the immortals from the Tianyuan Star Domain, who were continuously persuading others.
"Taoist Friend Lin Jiang."
"Taoist Friend Gu Fei"
The immortal from Tianyuan Star Domain finally found Lin Jiang, who also recognized him. He is the representative of the immortals from Tianyuan Star Domain. Lin Jiang had once donated many supplies to help feed the refugees.
"Taoist Friend Lin Jiang is kind and righteous, and Gu Fei admired him greatly..."
Gu Fei talked about Lin Jiang’s help for the refugees when they had just arrived in Tianbei Star Domain. At that time, Tianbei Star Domain had just finished a war and could hardly support them for so many years. It was Lin Jiang’s humanitarian supplies that helped them through their first hardship. Everyone in Tianyuan Star Domain was very grateful for this.
However, Gu Fei quickly changed the subject to today’s topic, which was about the Heavenly Court’s offensive. This time, the Heavenly Court was going to start a war, and they could decide how to fight it.
According to Gu Fei’s plan, they should first attack Yinfang Star, and then push back to Tianyuan Star Domain. Even if they could just retake one or two planets, they would have a place to stay and not become lost wanderers or interstellar refugees.
Lin Jiang wholeheartedly agreed with Gu Fei’s suggestion because this way, Mahayana Star would not be the first target. Even if they had to join the battle, their losses could be kept to a minimum.
Seeing Lin Jiang’s support made Gu Fei very happy. Lin Jiang was now also a member of Tianbei Star Domain. With his support, the plan might go much smoother. Gu Fei was not interested in managing the affairs of Tianbei Star Domain; he just wanted to return to his homeland.
"Ahem"
A cough rang out, and the talking fairies fell silent. In front of the Heavenly Emperor’s throne, three immortals stood, all of them appointed as Immortal Lords by the Heavenly Emperor.
An Immortal Lord holds a high position in the Heavenly Court, with real power to control the fairies and command the Heavenly Court’s soldiers. In theory, Lin Jiang is now also under the Immortal Lord Chang Rong.
"Dear friends, I have gathered you here today to discuss the matter of attacking the Buddhist sect. About five hundred years ago, the Buddhist sect boldly invaded our Heavenly Court’s territory, taking seven planets from the Tianyuan Star Domain and the Yinfang Star from the Tianbei Star Domain.
We, the immortals of the Heavenly Court, should fight to the end. However, at that time, the fairies were all exhausted, so we rested and recovered for five hundred years. In that time, our Heavenly Court has grown strong and ready, so we shall take action for revenge.
After discussions among the three of us and with the Heavenly Emperor’s approval, it has been decided that we will attack the Buddhist sect in one year. In this battle, we will divide our forces: one group will attack Yinfang Star and push back the Tianyuan Star Domain, while the other will deal with the Buddhist influence within the Tianyuan Star Domain.
"Immortal Lord Chang Rong, with our current strength in the Tianbei Star Domain, dividing our forces is too dangerous. Please think again."
"I understand, so this time we will still act together with both Star Domains. The Tiannan Star Domain will also participate, and at least seventy percent of their forces must be mobilized. Any disobedience will be severely punished by the Heavenly Court."
Immortal Lord Chang Rong said coldly, casting his gaze over the crowd. No one dared to meet his eyes, and they all lowered their heads.
The Heavenly Court rarely issues such forceful orders; for many, this is the first time they have experienced it. However, they did not have the courage to resist and could only agree.
Another Immortal Lord quickly spoke up to ease the tension. He did not oppose this strategy because he agreed with it. He mentioned the rewards and compensations, and this time the Heavenly Court offered a very high price.
