In the year 5965 of the Xia calendar, Lin Jiang graduated from Qingshan High School.
He diligently studied for three years, and the youthful time spent at school gradually helped Lin Jiang regain his mindset.
Consequently, he decided not to pursue higher education since he wasn’t truly interested in attending university.
Returning to Haigang City, Lin Jiang made his mansion estate his base. Although he had relatively little involvement with the corporate conglomerates in the past three years, the operations ran smoothly.
In these past decades, Lin Jiang has not only shown kindness to them, but has also wielded power when necessary.
"Mister"
Lin Jiang returned, accompanied by his secretary team of five people, each responsible for different tasks.
Lin Jiang and his team shared a meal, then delved into some documents. While Lin Jiang usually doesn’t interfere with the business operations of the financial group, he stays informed about major matters and has a professional team evaluate them.
Advances in space technology have skyrocketed in the past five years, progressing from the first manned spaceship to now having sent five ships. Manned technology is becoming more sophisticated, with the official Huaxia Federation proposing a plan to build a space station in collaboration with the Green Cloud Republic and Zhou Liao United States, rallying the world’s best talents.
Lin Jiang gave instructions to his team to push forward this initiative with all their efforts, ultimately using official means, as even the strongest financial group cannot rival a nation.
Computer and communication technologies are rapidly advancing, with numerous new products being released every year. While these businesses are not monopolized by Lin Jiang, his companies are undoubtedly top players in these industries.
"Basic phones are already out, and smartphones will be coming soon. Surfing the internet will be much easier in a few years."
After reviewing a report, Lin Jiang found that one of his companies simultaneously launched new mobile phones in over a dozen cities, including Jingdu City and Haigang City. These phones, reminiscent of traditional feature phones, were superior to the popular pagers of the time. In many areas, the trend was still towards bulkier cellphones, with Haigang City being ahead of its time compared to many other places.
"Sir, here is a list of sanctions from the Alliance of Gods, which has a certain impact on our business. The consortium below wants to abolish these sanctions, please make a decision, sir."
After Lin Jiang finished reading the report, a secretary brought over another document, which Lin Jiang took a look at.
In this world, there are four continents. The place where Alliance Three Countries, the Covenant Five Countries, and several dozen countries to the west are located is called Shen Continent. The other three continents are named Ying Continent, Penglai, and Fangzhang, named by Huaxia Federation. The inspiration comes from a few legends left by Lin Jiang, who knows these legends would last so long.
After the last world war, Huaxia Federation advocated the establishment of the United Nations. The world then shifted its focus to economic development. In a few years, Huaxia Federation found that the development speed of many countries was very fast, leading to the emergence of a Shen Continent Alliance, similar to the European Union.
The most important thing for the Shen Alliance is to restrict the development of other regions for various reasons, such as prohibiting the export of some high-tech products like powerful lathes, engines, chips, etc.
In this way, they economically colonize the world. Situations where one billion shirts are exchanged for an airplane often occur in certain regions, except now it is Huaxia Federation that is selling airplanes.
After many twists and turns, Huaxia Federation became a beacon country.
But the civilizations in other regions that have stood the test of time also have their merits, they have their own elites, their own talented individuals, who are gradually overcoming technological barriers.
So the God Alliance came up with a big move, which was economic sanctions, and Lin Jiang’s financial group had businesses all over the world, so these sanctions also affected them to a certain extent.
"Let them give up resisting this matter and follow the old master’s instructions."
After thinking for a while, Lin Jiang said. The world is not fair. Their comfortable life comes from exploiting others. In this world, there are always hierarchies. If you don’t exploit others, they will exploit you.
Moreover, for Lin Jiang to achieve great things, he must concentrate resources. If the resources are scattered, how can he achieve great things? As for the people in other regions, Lin Jiang cannot control them all. If we need to blame someone, we can only blame them for their bad luck."
Being born in a good family is also a skill, isn’t it?
"Sir, Bahuang Group is in the energy business. If those countries take retaliatory measures, Bahuang Group will suffer a lot. Other financial groups also intend to block this matter."
After hesitating for a moment, the secretary finally said. The financial groups within the federation are not united, so Bahuang Group wants Lin Jiang to make this happen, because only Lin Jiang has the power to do so.
Lin Jiang raised his head and looked at the secretary without saying anything. The secretary soon became flustered and dared not meet Lin Jiang’s eyes, looking a bit helpless.
"Do as I say."
"Yes, sir."
Jane dared not refuse Lin Jiang’s request. She quickly agreed. After the secretary left, Lin Jiang took out a phone and sent a text message quietly. At this position, he could not risk the loyalty of those around him. He needed to be cautious. If there was an issue with the secretary, he had to deal with it quickly.
Hexi Province, the capital city
In a certain mansion within the estate, the decorations were all set up today, and almost all the important people from Hexi Province were there because it was the master of the mansion’s 100th birthday.
In a time of highly developed productivity, the average life expectancy of the country’s people is continuously increasing. However, reaching the age of 100 is still a challenge, and very few people can live to that age, especially this centenarian who is not simple.
He was a legendary general, joining the military since World War I, starting as a common soldier and eventually rising to the rank of general. He achieved numerous victories in World War II, ultimately becoming a two-star general in the Federal Army.
Despite being retired for many years, his descendants are still active in the military, holding significant power. He himself also has great influence.
Guests kept arriving, and the old man greeted each esteemed guest energetically. The entire estate was filled with joy, and his grandchildren were extremely excited. After all, the activities of upper-class individuals are not so simple; they are important social occasions. As long as the old man is present, many friendships can be maintained.
As night fell, the old man began to feel a bit weary. He retired to his room, and after a while, his grandchildren, seeing that the light was still on in the room, knocked on the door and entered.
"Dad, what’s wrong? Your face doesn’t look too good. Are you tired?"
"Wu, are all the greeting cards here?"
"Yes, father, they are all here. What’s wrong?"
"You shouldn’t, you shouldn’t."
The old man whispered that in the federal tradition, if someone can’t attend an important event for another person, like moving to a new home or getting married, they would send a greeting card.
Since he was eleven, he has been receiving a greeting card every year without fail. It has been decades now, and even when he was at war, he always received it on time, which made him very worried.
"Father, what’s wrong? Did the greeting card from your old comrade not arrive? Could it be..."
His son couldn’t help but say that his father used to have many old comrades, but now there are very few left, and they might all be gone someday.
"No, he is still here, I know."
"Father..."
"*Thud*"
While the group was talking, a voice suddenly came from outside the door. The door then opened, revealing not their bodyguards but a person wearing a black robe.
Just as the old man’s descendants were about to shout, the person in the black robe took off the disguise, revealing their true face. The old man, seeing this person, had a dramatic change in expression.
"Sergeant, you..."
"Little Guo, it’s been many years."
"You all go out first."
The old man told his descendants, but was quickly stopped by the newcomer.
"Little Guo, there’s no need to make them leave. I just need to say a few words."
"Monitor, what do you say?"
The old man couldn’t help but stare at the newcomer, who appeared to be around fifty years old. This youthful appearance made him reminisce. If he remembered correctly, this monitor was a few months older than him. Looking at the age spots on his own hands, many memories were awakened.
"This is a congratulatory card from the gentleman for your birthday. Wishing you a happy birthday today."
"Please thank the gentleman for me. If possible, I would like to meet him."
"If the gentleman wishes to see you, he will come himself."
"If Little Guo has done anything wrong, please let me know, Monitor. I apologize to the gentleman."

"No, the gentleman asked me to pass on a few words to you."
"Class monitor, please speak."
"Once wealth reaches a certain amount, increasing it further is just a string of numbers, without any meaning. The same goes for power. The days of ancient times where a single word could decide the fate of the world are long gone. Life is short, only a few decades. Eating well, drinking well, and having a good ending is better than anything else."
"Gone?"
"Yes, gone. I’ll leave first."
The newcomer nodded, put on the black robe again, then quickly left. As soon as the person left, several younger individuals hurried out to check. All the bodyguards they had hired with a hefty sum had all fainted.
"Father, who is that person? Your class monitor, shouldn’t he be····"
"Yes, he should be even older than me."
"He mentioned about the gentleman."
"Hush, don’t speak. That is an existence that cannot be defined, observed, or described."
"Father."
"You must have done something. Stop it. If you don’t want our family to be destroyed, stop it."
The old man exclaimed in surprise, realizing the importance of the events of the day. It was a warning that something must have happened in their family, and they needed to stop for the safety of their family.
