North Immortal Kingdom, Luanshi Mountain
Luanshi Mountain is the vast mountain range where the Stone King resides. The Stone King and the North Immortal Kingdom came to an agreement, declaring this large mountain range a restricted area, not allowing ordinary people to enter freely. Similarly, the Stone King also restrains other monsters from randomly killing humans. For decades, there has been peace.
However, in the past two years, this agreement has shown signs of being broken. More and more independent cultivators sneak into Luanshi Mountain to hunt, resulting in many low-level monsters falling prey to human hands.
The Stone King has sent his people multiple times to protest to the North Immortal Kingdom, but they have remained indifferent. They claim to restrain cultivators on the surface, but in secret, they allow freedom.
The public opinion in the North Immortal Kingdom has been hard to control in recent years. The hostility between humans and monsters is a major trend, as is evident everywhere else where the two sides clash. Yet, only the North Immortal Kingdom and the monsters have reached an agreement.
Muse saw this as an opportunity and continuously stoked the flames in public opinion, advocating the dangers of this agreement. It should be noted that in Luanshi Mountain, there are many monsters, and their strength has grown much faster than that of the North Immortal Kingdom. Not only is the Stone King a fifth rank monster, but there are also other fifth rank monsters.
In contrast, the North Immortal Kingdom’s highest cultivation level is a late-stage golden core cultivator. Even in the Golden Core Period, there are only a few people. Compared to the monsters in Luanshi Mountain, the North Immortal Kingdom is far behind. The survival of the North Immortal Kingdom is entirely due to the unity of the human race, supported by Huaxia.
Huaxia is fighting with the demon tribe in the southern hemisphere, while you just hide in North Immortal Kingdom, is that acceptable?
This kind of public opinion not only has a strong influence in North Immortal Kingdom, but also caused a huge reaction in Huaxia. The continuous protests from Huaxia’s people made the North Immortal Kingdom officials overwhelmed, so they had to tacitly approve the actions of those hunters.
"Boss, the things are ready."
At a remote corner of Luanshi Mountain, a confidant came over to Muse and said.
"We are three thousand kilometers away from Stone King’s lair, are you sure we can hit it accurately?"
"We can’t be sure. If our country still existed, maybe there would be a way, but now, we can only take a chance."
"Well, let’s do it then."
Muse said, their country had already been destroyed, although there were still many refugees in Shen Continent, they no longer had territory or official organizations.
"Okay."
Heart nodded, then ordered to start. A group of people behind were ready, a civilian aircraft began to take off, no one on board, but lots of dangerous goods, even nearly a ton of white phosphorus.
Their target was the Stone Monster’s lair, where many unformed Stone Monsters lived. Although the Stone Monster had the strength of the fourth rank when it appeared, it had no attack power before it transformed.
The aircraft’s speed was increased to the extreme, and they arrived at their destination of three thousand kilometers in no time. The aircraft’s positioning was not very accurate, but they only needed to strike within the range.
Now there were only three transformed Stone Monsters in the Stone Monster clan. One Stone Monster guarded the lair and was furious to see the aircraft of humans. Without hesitation, it immediately attacked and brought down the aircraft.
"Boom"
When the aircraft crashed, a terrifying explosion occurred. The dangerous goods inside were triggered, creating a high temperature. Soon cries came from the valley, the voices of the untransformed Stone Monsters. As for the transformed Stone Monster, it was dumbfounded, not knowing what to do.
"Let’s go."
Muse quickly retreated, not wanting to be attacked by the enraged Stone Monsters. Although he had reached the Golden Core Period, he was no match for the Stone Monsters.
However, this was just his first round of attacks. In the following month, Muse launched multiple rounds of attacks using weapons he obtained from various sources, things that ordinary people couldn’t acquire, but he could.
In the recent attacks, Muse targeted several major demon tribes on Luanshi Mountain. He was very ruthless, not caring how many he killed, and even damaging the environment by throwing in biochemical products.
This kind of thing is useless for high-level Demon Kings, but for ordinary demons and even wild beasts, it’s a disaster, causing large numbers of them to die.
This action completely angered the demon tribes. Even the Stone King, who usually remained calm, couldn’t hold back. The demon tribes of Luanshi Mountain started attacking the residential areas of North Immortal Kingdom.
"We should leave, abandoning our previous identities and starting anew."
Seeing the chaos he caused between North Immortal Kingdom and the demon tribes of Luanshi Mountain, Muse knew his main task was done. It was time for him to change his appearance, or he might face consequences.
"Something happened in North Immortal Kingdom?"
In Haigang City, Lin Jiang received news from North Immortal Kingdom. He was already aware of the public pressure being placed on North Immortal Kingdom, but he had not paid much attention. However, the rapid occurrence of trouble surprised Lin Jiang.
"Yes, sir, the Stone King of Luanshi Mountain led the demon tribes to attack. The Stone King openly accused North Immortal Kingdom of breaking the rules and releasing many biochemical weapons in Luanshi Mountain, making it unsafe for lower-level demons. They need a new spiritual mountain to settle down."
"North Immortal Kingdom is not a match, right?"
"Yes, North Immortal Kingdom’s cultivators are weak, with only a few at the Golden Core Period. Their technology and weapons are also inferior to Huaxia. That’s why North Immortal Kingdom is seeking help from the Human Alliance. They want the Human Alliance to send skilled individuals to destroy the Stone King."
"We can’t ignore this matter. North Immortal Kingdom is not responsible for this. We need to investigate the reasons thoroughly."
Lin Jiang said that this matter is quite clear. Someone is provoking this situation, and it’s definitely not North Immortal Kingdom. Lin Jiang doesn’t want to be used as a tool, so he wants to investigate thoroughly before taking action.
"Yes, sir, I will make arrangements."
"Okay, as soon as possible."
Lin Jiang wondered who was so audacious and dared to scheme against him.
"Uncle, do you think the powerful individuals from North Immortal Kingdom are up to something? Luanshi Mountain is vast with many spiritual veins, highly valuable, especially as the birthplace of the Stone Monster. It’s definitely a treasure trove."
"There is a possibility. Which country doesn’t have some powerful individuals? They have their own interests to consider. In recent years, North Immortal Kingdom has been entering Luanshi Mountain to hunt and kill monsters, which also involves their interests."
"What if they did it?"
"We must suppress Luanshi Mountain, but we can’t act foolish and be used as a spear."
"Yes, I hate being treated as a fool."
Cao Ying said, she hated being taxed on her intelligence.
"Speaking of which, I brought back some untransformed Stone Monsters before. Unfortunately, when they left that area, the stones lost their spiritual essence and became useless. That place is quite unique."
"The world is full of wonders."
"Good point, will you go there then?"
"Yes, Stone Monsters may not have strong attack power, but their defense is extremely strong. A fifth-tier Stone King, even a Void Achiever might struggle to break through their defense. They are very powerful."
Cao Ying said, Stone Monsters don’t strictly belong to the demon clan, their strength cannot be calculated solely by their rank. Most Void Achievers are unable to cause substantial damage to them.
"Be careful."
"Hmm, aren’t you going to take a look?"
"I’m not going, Huaxia is quite chaotic now, I need to stay here and keep watch."
Lin Jiang said. The Demon Queen’s sudden attack caused heavy losses to the Tianya Mountain Base, especially the independent cultivators, many of whom were killed or injured. Now, many of the surviving independent cultivators have been scared off and withdrawn to the Shen Continent, with most of them now in Huaxia.
This has posed a great challenge to the public order in Huaxia. These people have lived on the front lines for years, surrounded by killings. Some of them have become lawless and are unable to adapt to the pace of civilized society, causing disturbances everywhere.
This is why there are fewer of them being regulated. Think about the cultivation era, independent cultivators could be powerful in the wilderness, but once they entered a big city, they had to behave obediently. Why? Because they were scared off.
So now Lin Jiang needs to stay in Huaxia and properly educate these independent cultivators, so that they will behave better in the future.
