In the year 8450 of the Blue Star Xia calendar, Lingjing Star Star Domain
"Beep beep..."
In a Star Domain 1.5 light-years away from Lingjing Star, a space probe detected the signs of the Stargate opening; the huge beam of light was very obvious.
"Alarm, alarm..."
"System analysis, enemy..."
Outside Lingjing Star, inside a certain Space Mother Ship, the sound of artificial intelligence alarms was continuous, while it was constantly analyzing.
On Lingjing Star, the alarm was also sounding. The whole Lingjing Star was put on alert and mobilized. Some large cities had activated their city shields, and cultivators were quickly using teleportation arrays to arrive on the Space Battleship in space.
"Liang Long, what is happening?"
"Ancestor Lin, the detector found traces of the enemy; the Buddhist sect has attacked. They are located 1.5 light-years away. According to artificial intelligence data, the next Stargate opening will be near Lingjing Star, either close to the atmosphere or directly inside Lingjing Star."
"Distract them, set the battlefield in space."
"Yes, Ancestor Lin."
Liang Long nodded and immediately began his actions.
Under Liang Long’s order, sixteen Space Battleships flew out of formation, preparing for the predicted opening of the Stargate, each ship separated by tens of thousands of miles.
After reaching their designated position, the sixteen battleships turned off most of their functions, and then appeared things similar to solar sails on each ship, but these were not solar sails; they were special spiritual talismans.
All the energy of the sixteen Space Battleships was fed into these spiritual talismans, which glowed brightly and emitted great beams of light. Soon, the light from the sixteen ships intertwined, forming a mysterious array.
"I hope this binding array works; we shouldn’t waste the sixteen battleships."
Liang Long shook his head and said that maintaining such a large binding array required an enormous amount of energy. All the energy from the sixteen ships was being used, and once it was gone, they would have to leave the battlefield because there would be no energy left for them. Of course, if someone could bring a lot of spirit stones, there might be a chance to restart the ships and join the battle.
"Boom"
One point five light-years away, after the Stargate opened, it quickly reopened, and a Sea-crossing Ark vanished from its spot. However, this time, they did not reach Lingjing Star; instead, they crashed into the binding array, causing the entire space to twist and leading to a terrible spatial collapse.
The sixteen battleships also did not survive, bursting into sparks; some ships were twisted into a tangle, and many escape pods shot out from each battleship, although some escape pods exploded right away.
"Liang Long, you command the Space Battleships; let’s begin."
"Okay, launch the water droplets."
Liang Long heard Lin Jiang’s voice, and his Space Mother Ship immediately received the command to lead the twelve Space Battleships. Liang Long ordered the release of the Droplet Robot.
The Droplet Robot was made based on a science fiction idea, but it also had a scientific basis. After all, when an object reaches extreme speed, it can release a great amount of energy. Simply put, it is the principle behind the danger of throwing something from a great height.
However, the Droplet Robot that Liang Long designed was different from those in science fiction. They could not achieve that level but used space technology instead.
The Droplet Robot appears to be the size of a child’s arm and has a cone shape. In reality, it has a large internal space. The Droplet Robot has no other attack methods and relies only on speed. Therefore, by giving up all other functions, the Droplet Robot reached about one-eighth the speed of light, making it the fastest flying machine on Blue Star.
Liang Long was proud that the front tip of the Droplet Robot was made from a very rare mineral he found on Lingjing Star. This mineral is not found on Blue Star’s periodic table and has not yet been officially named. The metal extracted from this mineral is extremely hard, surpassing all known metals on Blue Star.
The Droplet Robot flew out from one of the six Space Mother Ships and reached its top speed in just ten seconds. This speed was so fast that not even the human eye, nor the Magical Eye of a cultivator, or the most advanced probes of the Space Battleship could capture it.
At the same time, the Sea-crossing Ark was stopped by a binding magic circle. More than ten Bodhisattva-level Buddhist cultivators appeared from the Sea-crossing Ark and worked together to stabilize the space; otherwise, the Sea-crossing Ark could easily run into trouble, like falling into an unknown space.
"Be careful!"
The Droplet Robot attacked, and a Bodhisattva shouted loudly. He did not see the enemy, but the cultivator’s strong sense warned him of danger.
His reaction was very fast; while warning others, he had already summoned a magical shield, a treasure of great power, which gave him a lot of safety.
"Boom!"
Immediately, the Droplet Robot, moving at one-eighth the speed of light, crashed into the shield, shattering it into pieces instantly. The powerful shockwave hit him directly, sending him flying.
"Bang!"
The Bodhisattva’s body, flying backward, suddenly exploded because Liang Long had already predicted that one hit from the Droplet Robot could not kill a Bodhisattva, so he sent in the second and third Droplet Robots to crash into the Bodhisattva at the same time.
"Something is there!"
"There is something in the starry sky, so fast!"
The other Buddhist cultivators quickly realized what was happening. They could no longer express their fear; they could not see the path of the droplets. The speed of one-eighth the speed of light had surpassed most Transmigration Stage cultivators, and even if they paid a terrible price, they could not reach such speed.
"Boom"
"Bang"
Immediately, the fourth Droplet Robot smashed another Bodhisattva’s protective treasure. The fifth robot finished the job, causing severe injury and not giving him a chance to react. The sixth Droplet Robot shattered his body.
The entire attack took less than one second, and two Bodhisattvas lost their physical forms, while the remaining Bodhisattvas looked as if they had seen a ghost.
"Buddhist Domain"
Inside the Sea-crossing Ark, Xuan Fa let out a roar, and then the Buddhist Domain unfolded.
"Droplets, return!"
Liang Long saw the Buddhist Domain unfold and immediately called the droplets back. Six Droplet Robots were sent, but only four returned. The two that crashed into the treasure were damaged and could not come back for now. If the war was won, they could be retrieved.
This was the first real battle for the Droplet Robots, and Liang Long had gathered a lot of valuable data. In the future, he could improve the Droplet Robots, and they might become the greatest weapon below the immortals.
In the Buddhist Domain, Xuan Fa has arrived, and other Buddhist cultivators have also appeared. This time, Xuan Fa did not bring many Buddhist cultivators with him, fewer than one hundred thousand, but there are many powerful ones, with over eighty Bodhisattva-level Buddhist cultivators and more than two hundred Arhats.
In Xuan Fa’s understanding, this power has surpassed all advanced combat strength of Lingjing Star from many years ago, and he has learned from the true Buddha of Lingfa Star that the enemy does not have many experts. But no one expected that before the battle officially began, they had already lost two Bodhisattvas.
"Don’t worry, my two younger brothers. Once we return to Lingfa Star, I will help you restore your bodies."
Xuan Fa spoke to the souls of the two Bodhisattvas. The Droplet Robot only shattered their bodies, but did not break their souls, so strictly speaking, they have not fallen; they have just lost their fighting power.
"Senior Brother Xuan Fa, look! The enemy has formed their ranks."
A Buddhist cultivator used eye techniques and saw countless Space Battleships, with over a thousand ships spread out in space. This scene is extremely spectacular.
"Is this the enemy’s technology?"
Xuan Fa, the Bodhisattva, also saw the Space Battleships. This huge object has surpassed the size of any cultivator’s treasures; no cultivator would make a treasure this large.
"Liang Long, do you have any more tricks? Use them now!"
"Let’s try out the new weapons."
Liang Long said that after the battle with Jiang Star, Blue Star’s technology did not make major progress, but it developed many new weapons. Although many new weapons have been tested, they have never been used in real battles, and now it’s time to try the new weapons.
