Penglai, north of Gray Cloud Mountain
After a huge demon beast died, it was dragged back to the demon clan’s camp. The Demon King placed the leader of the Spirit Devouring Demonic Ant into the body of the demon beast and set up demon formations around it. In just one day, the ant eggs would hatch, and in another day, the small ants would mature into Demonic Ants.
Similar scenes could be seen all over the demon clan’s camp. Demon Insects covered thousands of square kilometers of land and were constantly under attack. Despite suffering heavy losses with each attack, their large numbers continued to advance, consuming countless amounts of ammunition from the human clan.
At the Leon Base, a massive teleportation array kept flashing as a group of people and horses appeared within it. Each person carried several storage bags, and as they stepped out, others waiting in line stepped forward to return to Huaxia.
"Sir, this is the list of supplies for this time."
The leader found the logistics manager of the base and handed over a logistics list to them.
The manager immediately called in a large number of people to receive the supplies, distribute them, and bring back damaged weapons and equipment, including a large number of shell casings.
"People say, when the cannon fires, it really brings a lot of gold."
"On that day, when they fired the heavy cannon, there were a million shots, just the shells alone piled up as high as a mountain."
"This war machine, which costs twenty-five thousand, gets damaged by over a hundred every day. Even the richest cannot handle such losses."
"Rich people are nothing in the eyes of the country."
"During the handover time, a few people chatted and lamented about the terrifying resources consumed by war. Even the wealthiest tycoons have gone bankrupt."
"At the command center, Lin Hongcong listened to various reports from artificial intelligence. The war had been going on for many days, and different areas of the defense line needed reinforcement after analysis by the artificial intelligence."
"Brother, our defense line is still fine, but Zhou Liao and Qingyun are struggling. They lack heavy weapons and might be breached in two days."
A cultivator approached and said to Lin Hongcong that heavy weapons were not just cannons; they were weapons capable of killing fourth-tier or higher monsters.
Huaxia had few heavy weapons, such as the Spiritual Cannon, with a barrel of twenty meters long, powered by spirit stones. A direct hit could slay a fifth-tier Demon King, making it their most powerful weapon.
"The short-distance teleportation array has been set up. If things go wrong, they will retreat on their own. We must persevere for over a month."
Lin Hongcong said. Since the war started, they have actually suffered very few casualties. Most of them are focusing on firepower, so the real test has not arrived yet.
"Demon Queen, today we will surely break the formation."
"Are you this confident?"
"Demon Queen, these days we have not attacked in vain. We have figured out the strengths and weaknesses of the human race’s defenses. The Shen Continent Huaxia Federation is responsible for the western front, the middle is Qingyun, and the east is Zhou Liao. Their strength decreases from west to east, with Zhou Liao in the east being the weakest. So today, our main attack direction is the eastern front, and we will also mobilize sea demons to join the battle. With the integration of sea, land, and air forces, we are not afraid of failing to defeat the enemy."
"Then I will trust you, Heavenly Fox Demon King. If our demon clan can wipe out the human race, I promise to help you achieve the realm of Demon Emperor."
"Thank you, Demon Queen."
Upon hearing this, the Heavenly Fox Demon King was overjoyed. He had been stuck at the peak of the sixth rank for many years, unable to make a breakthrough. With the support of the Demon Queen, the probability of breaking through to the seventh rank was very high.
"Let’s get started."
The Demon Queen nodded, and the Heavenly Fox Demon King quickly ordered an attack.
During the war, the demon clan learned to be more versatile in tactics compared to before. They still let the Demon Insects out first to deplete the ammunition of the human clan.
After about an hour of intense fighting, most weapons’ spear barrels and gun barrels would turn red, indicating the need for replacement. This would weaken the firepower, even just a little, which they could feel.
Then, the rest of the demon beasts joined the battle. They were the fastest group of demon beasts, including flying beasts like the Aurora Falcon. They swiftly reached the human clan’s defense line and shook off countless Demon Insects crawling on them.
As soon as these Demon Insects reached the human clan’s defense line, they immediately started to gnaw at the protective shield. With tens of thousands of Demon Insects gnawing together, it was a terrifying sight, causing a huge consumption of the shield’s spiritual energy.
These Demon Insects created some chaos in the defense line. Seizing the opportunity, the Heavenly Fox Demon King ordered a group of third and fourth-tier demon beasts to charge. The demon beasts above the fifth tier had not been used as cannon fodder yet because they were all woke up from the Demon God Temple, which was the foundation of the temple and couldn’t be wasted like that.
Conventional heavy weapons had significantly reduced effectiveness against third and fourth-tier demon beasts. It would take hundreds of machine gun bullets to break through the defense of a third-tier demon beast, and it was unknown how many bullets it would take to kill one.
Due to the lack of weapons with enough spiritual energy, Zhou Liao had to rely on cultivators. However, there weren’t enough skilled cultivators in Zhou Liao’s forces, so they had to combine cultivation and technology.
Zhou Liao saw more and more monsters outside the protective shield, so he had to ask for help. Inside the Huaxia defense line, heavy cannons started to support Zhou Liao’s defense line one by one.
"Water, water."
"The flood is coming."
In the midst of the fierce battle, sea monsters appeared, creating massive waves again. This time, the waves were even more terrifying than before, reaching hundreds of meters high. On top of the waves, countless sea monsters could be seen.
"Plop, plop, plop..."
Drones shot along the waves, killing many sea monsters inside. However, they couldn’t stop the waves from hitting the defense line.
"Boom!"
The first wave hit the defense line, but it didn’t break immediately because of the defensive formation, creating a shield that completely blocked the wave.
However, this wave brought a large number of sea monsters. Some aquatic monsters started attacking the defensive formation, while a second wave appeared at the same time.
"Block"
"Block them!"
"We are fighting against the monsters."
"Seek revenge"
"Zhou Liao’s warriors, with red eyes, rushed out of the defensive formation and fought against the monster army. They had a deep grudge against the monsters, especially after the Battle of Zhenhai City. Through Zhou Liao’s propaganda system, everyone was filled with hatred towards the monsters."
"Wave after wave of sea water rushed in. When the thirteenth wave hit, the defensive formation of Zhou Liao’s position was broken, and the sea monsters stopped causing trouble."
"Charge!"
"The Heavenly Fox Demon King was delighted and immediately ordered the huge monsters to charge forward."
"Protect them, let Zhou Liao’s people retreat to the defense line of Qingyun."
Lin Hongcong looked at the big screen, knowing that it was too late to turn things around. He had used all his strength, but still couldn’t stop it.
"Prepare to release the nuclear bomb."
Lin Hongcong immediately gave the order to prepare for the release of the nuclear bomb. The missile truck in the rear immediately began preparing, not only for nuclear bombs, but also for a large number of regular missiles to confuse the enemy and prevent interception by the demon tribe.
Ten minutes later, hundreds of missiles rose into the sky and bombed the densely populated area of the demon army. Without the Demon Queen ordering, there were other Demon Kings who naturally went to intercept.
However, when the nuclear bomb exploded in the air, a sun with a diameter of more than ten kilometers appeared, sending shockwaves sweeping in all directions. Countless demons died at that moment.
Many Demon Kings had never seen the power of nuclear weapons before, and at this moment, they were all stunned to see such a powerful weapon for the first time.
"Demon Queen, if this kind of weapon exploded next to you, could you survive?"
The Heavenly Fox Demon King asked sincerely. It was his first time facing a nuclear explosion, which was more shocking than the data he had known.
"I can’t be sure. I might not die, but I would be seriously injured."
Lin Fanghua said she knew that if it were the Demon Emperor of the Phoenix clan, it would be no problem. Nuclear weapons mainly harm them with high temperatures, and the Phoenix clan, these types of demon beasts, are least afraid of high temperatures.
Lin Fanghua’s words made the Heavenly Fox Demon King a bit silent. It seemed like he needed to rethink his plan, or else a sudden nuclear attack by humans could easily put him at a disadvantage.
