Year 8,350 of the Blue Star Xia Calendar, Lingjing Star
Lin Jiang reached Lingjing Star in just three days; this time he didn’t bring anyone but informed Cao Ying to stay in charge at Blue Star.
When Lin Jiang arrived, Zhang Qing was already accompanying Ming’an on a tour of the Central Continent. The Central Continent now has seven or eight cities that are quite developed, only slightly less advanced than Modern City.
"Ancestor Lin"
"Liang Long, have you met Ming’an from Canglan Star?"
"We had a great conversation."
"Very good, tell me more."
Lin Jiang nodded. There was no doubt about Liang Long’s ability. By saying this, it was almost certain that Liang Long had already gathered a lot of information.
"The Canglan Star, where Ming’an is, is very far from us, not less than one hundred light years away. I don’t know the exact distance, but based on some details he described, I have three suspected targets. One star system is located 280 light years away from us at a northeast angle of thirty-five degrees, and another at a northeast angle of sixty-eight degrees, one hundred seventy..."
Liang Long slowly shared the coordinates of three star systems that they observed using astronomical techniques from Lingjing Star. These three star systems are very large, and the star they are situated around is nearly a hundred times larger than the star in the Blue Star system. Since their star is massive, the planets must also be large enough not to be pulled away by the star’s gravity, so their world may be a hundred times larger than Blue Star.
However, this is currently just a guess; Liang Long does not have substantial evidence to prove it.
"In addition, the world where Fa Kong is located is called Lingfa Star, which is also a certain distance from Canglan Star. They should be familiar with each other, and they found us through Lingfa Star."
"Fa Kong, the Buddhist cultivator you tricked, has he caused some trouble on Lingfa Star?"
"That’s basically how it is. The Buddhist community places a strong emphasis on thought control. All the Buddhist scriptures focus on Buddha Master. Fa Kong’s current thoughts are like heresy. It’s strange that there hasn’t been any reaction from Buddha Master. After all, Fa Kong is a Bodhisattva in the Buddhist community, one of the highest beings known among mortals. He surely holds a high position on Lingfa Star, and just a few of his words could cause unrest."
"That seems to be the case. What about Heavenly Court?"
"I expect Heavenly Court to be an organization that opposes the Buddhist community."
"Where is the evidence?"
"Where did the evidence come from? But we can scientifically guess, Ancestor Lin, if Blue Star, in its state tens of thousands of years ago, could defend against the attack from the Buddhists."
"No."
Lin Jiang said directly, "The former Blue Star was also very strong. The human race had dozens of Tao Achievers, and the demon race had dozens of Demon Emperors. Even without considering the damage to the Heavenly Path, they were absolutely no match for the Buddhists. You must understand that Lin Jiang resisted the invasion from Kong Yan and the others by uniting all the powers of Blue Star, but back then, there was no unity at all."
So Lin Jiang understood Liang Long’s point; under a unified thought control, the Buddhist cultivators had strong combat power that the regular cultivation world could not resist.
"That’s right. Cultivators are not unchanging. Since the Buddhists are so strong, individual cultivators are not opponents, so they naturally must come together. Therefore, the Heavenly Court should be an organization to resist the Buddhists. Although I am not very clear about it, we can guess a bit."
"What you said makes sense. Now, there are people on Canglan Star who want us to join the Heavenly Court. What do you think?"
"The cost. If the cost is right, then we can join. If the cost is too high, there is no need."
"Yes, I think the same. Joining the Heavenly Court will definitely come with a cost; there is no such thing as free food falling from the sky. So it’s important to understand this cost and not let people mix things up and cheat us. That is also the purpose of my trip."
Lin Jiang said that he was afraid of being misinformed and then being sold by the Heavenly Court without understanding it.
Lingjing Star, Central Continent
Ming’an, saying he was tired and needed to rest, entered a state of meditation, but he soon met Li Canghai.
"Ming’an greets his great master."
"Ming’an, after traveling in Lingjing Star for many days, what are your thoughts?"
"Great master, the development of Lingjing Star is very different from the cultivation world that we know, and Ming’an doesn’t know where to begin."
"Are you talking about those machines? Isn’t that similar to puppetry?"
"Great master, it’s definitely not as simple as puppetry. I feel like it is a completely new path, and with my knowledge, I fear I cannot describe it in words."
"How can this be? You are the wise one of my Canglan Star."
Li Canghai said that Ming’an’s status was not an ordinary Transmigration Stage; he was not only his disciple but also a famous sage of Canglan Star.
Ming’an sighed with a bitter smile. What use is a sage of Canglan Star? That’s in the environment of Canglan Star. Now, in a strange place filled with so much information, even this sage is struggling to keep up. The information gap is too serious.
"Master Ancestor, I don’t know how to explain this to you. Anyway, Lingjing Star is very different. What I am more interested in is Blue Star behind Lingjing Star. I heard that Lingjing Star has only been occupied by Blue Star for less than five hundred years, but the traces of Buddhism are almost gone. That is quite frightening. Didn’t we hear before that there were Buddhist worlds that were taken over by our Heavenly Court, and even after tens of thousands of years, there were still Buddhist cultivators resisting, and sometimes the ownership would change?"
"It’s not just something we’ve heard; it is a fact. The Buddha Seed is hard to remove, and the human heart is difficult to understand."
Li Canghai said that under Heavenly Court, they once occupied the territory of Buddhism. They invested a lot of manpower to take control, but they failed. Even after tens of thousands of years, there were still people whose hearts leaned towards Buddhism, leading to a resurgence of Buddhism, and some became insiders, resulting in the world being taken back by Buddhism.
"Yes, the human heart is difficult to understand. But how many people on Lingjing Star still lean towards Buddhism now?"
Ming’an said that there are hardly any people on Lingjing Star who still believe in Buddhism. The reputation of Buddhism has been tarnished by Blue Star people, and with the spread of Blue Star’s education, the people of Lingjing Star have become enlightened and will no longer be easily swayed by Buddhism.
Especially since many prevailing ideas conflict with Buddhist theories, it is now clear that those ideas from Blue Star have the upper hand. Even the most skilled Buddhist cultivators find it harder to spread their teachings.
Li Canghai also couldn’t continue speaking and could only let Ming’an travel on Lingjing Star to see how they did things and what he could learn from them.
A few days later, Ming’an finished his retreat and was thinking about asking Zhang Qing to continue guiding him when he saw a young man standing in front of him. From Zhang Qing and Liang Long’s positions, the young man seemed to be his superior.
"I, Ming’an, greet you, Taoist friend."
"Blue Star Lin Jiang greets you, Taoist friend Ming’an."
Both greeted each other in Blue Star Huaxia language. A few days was enough time for Ming’an to learn the Blue Star language. Huaxia language is now also the main language of Lingjing Star, and even Ying Continent is promoting it. The native language of Lingjing Star is quickly disappearing because if you cannot learn Huaxia language, you cannot progress, and it is even hard to survive.
"Taoist friend Ming’an, I will accompany you on your journey now."
"My apologies, then I will trouble you, Taoist friend Lin."
"No problem, please, Taoist friend."
Lin Jiang nodded and then asked Zhang Qing to make arrangements.
Lin Jiang did not plan to hide anything from Ming’an, but instead wanted to show off the achievements of technology and civilization, even pretending to be impressive and boasting a little about the power of technological civilization.
So next, he would systematically display the technological accomplishments of Lingjing Star to Ming’an, especially the perfect combination of technology and cultivation, like modern agriculture. This is where they grow resources for cultivation, and with modern agricultural techniques, the yield is many times greater than just relying on a Spiritual Farmer.
Not to mention the crafting of low-level magical tools, some advanced robots from Blue Star are already almost at the level of Soul Changing, and they can be mass-produced. With the production capacity of the three planets working at full speed, producing tens of thousands in a year is no problem. What planet has a Soul Changing cultivator that can match this output?
Not to mention the power of the Space Battleships; a shot from the Spiritual Cannon, or a particle cannon, is equivalent to the strength of a high-level spiritual talisman. However, the time and cost to create spiritual talismans cannot compete with a Space Battleship.
As for biopharmaceuticals and the like, in the mid-to-low-end range, technological civilization completely wins, while Immortal Language only holds an advantage at the high end.
After several days, Ming’an had already lost count of how many times he was amazed; the huge amount of information almost overwhelmed his CPU, making it hard for him to digest all this information.
