Elwick didn’t change his ultimate move; instead, after the Netherworld Wind ended and the Underworld Domain disappeared, he used Netherworld Wind again. Feng Yuan saw the opponent doing this and thought it was trying to test whether the Heart Controlling Spirit’s Netherworld Wind could ignore the conventional Domain Awakening restrictions. However, the opponent’s action was completely unexpected.
Netherworld Wind didn’t unfold the Underworld Domain; instead, it brought out another ultimate move: Mingxi Armor. Seeing the solid armor condensed on Elwick, not only Feng Yuan but even Veronia was stunned.
"Could the effect of Heart Controlling Spirit be variable?"
Thinking of a possibility, Feng Yuan said with an inexplicable expression. Although the opponent hadn’t confirmed it yet, Feng Yuan felt that this seemed to be the truth.
"Yes, I can feel that Heart Controlling Spirit allows a choice of effect, though there’s a range limit..."
"At least one ultimate move should have three or more choices."
Elwick just felt the ultimate move that could be performed with Heart Controlling Spirit and spoke out. Although it might not be absolutely accurate, it still seemed relatively reliable.
"This change is indeed great, but the difficulty is unbelievably high."
Hearing Elwick confirm that speculation, even Feng Yuan found it somewhat troublesome. Although the difficulty of the Heart Controlling Spirit in the three series is relatively lower, it’s still not something that Xiao Ji can master in a short time.
Even Veronia hasn’t mastered the Heart Controlling Spirit’s ultimate move, and knowing that the ultimate move undergoes a huge change with Heart Controlling Spirit doesn’t mean much.
There’s no alternative, Xiao Ji can’t master it, and the ultimate move is useless no matter how strong it is.
"Truly enviable to be so naturally gifted."
Veronia didn’t shy away from expressing her envy toward Elwick. Although most of the time the opponent’s emotional indifference was seen as a negative effect, in these circumstances, it’s unexpectedly useful since without this trait, Elwick wouldn’t be able to perform the Heart Controlling Spirit in such a short time.
"But if this thing is indeed birthed due to the Qi Realm, it seems the Qi Realm isn’t all that bad."
"There’s no absolute good or bad; the negative effects of Qi Realm are indeed severe, but as part of the supplementary rules, the changes it brings are not little."
Feng Yuan said with a helpless shake of his head. Despite the various issues with Qi Realm, looking at the current situation, the Qi Realm hasn’t caused much destruction to the Main World. At least compared to time branches, Qi Realm is merely a threat.
But the benefits brought by Qi Realm are quite a few; the posture change is secondary because it’s not entirely safe, yet Heart Controlling Spirit provided those top Beastmasters with another way to enhance their beasts.
Thinking of this, Feng Yuan decided to immediately notify the Special Duty Team for them to report it.
The logistics personnel felt awful; he didn’t expect that simply helping Feng Yuan with a little task would lead to hearing such astonishing news. Sadly, for him, this news brings nothing besides gaining another long-term goal which is difficult to achieve.
Even Divine Beasts find mastering Heart Controlling Spirit difficult, so for him, it’s almost impossible. Of course, if he continues to strive, there might be a chance to master it, but this timeframe will likely be measured in years.
Realizing there’s a potent skill that he can’t grasp but can only watch, made him feel incredibly frustrated.
Feng Yuan didn’t know what the other person thought; after learning the powerful effect of Heart Controlling Spirit, he chose to let Qi Chen and his team try at least to master Heart Driven Spirit.
Although compared to the more flexible and effective Heart Controlling Spirit, the effect of Heart Driven Spirit isn’t as satisfying, but it depends on whom.
For Qi Chen’s team, the enhancement from Heart Driven Spirit isn’t small. Still, Feng Yuan doesn’t recommend them to focus all their initial energy on this, as compared to Heart Driven Spirit, they have other simpler ways to improve their combat power without relying on this.
But for those veteran Beastmasters, it might be different. They might have already reached the limit in other areas, but Heart Driven Spirit becomes a good opportunity for them, a chance to break through their current ceiling.
This is also why Feng Yuan reported before all test data came out; this thing is quite important, just not very universally applicable.
For the general populace, especially ordinary people, it might take years to barely grasp the ultimate move of Heart Controlling Spirit, and compared to time cost, the enhancement brought by Heart Controlling Spirit isn’t very high.
Ah Mu barely managed to perform Heart Driven Spirit but it was limited to its most commonly used ultimate moves, whereas Cotton surprisingly couldn’t perform Heart Driven Spirit.
"Yanlan..."
Qi Chen looked toward Dou Yanlan with some concern; he didn’t expect that Dou Yanlan’s Cotton would be unable to grasp Heart Driven Spirit, especially since even Xiao Ji could perform the ultimate move of Heart Driven Spirit.
Even with the reduced difficulty effect of the Three Attributes, in his view, Cotton’s talent shouldn’t be lower than his Ah Mu’s.
"It’s okay, it learned too much, had too complex thinking, which is my fault."
Dou Yanlan already understood what happened; Cotton shouldn’t perform this poorly generally, but due to her own reasons, Cotton had grasped too much tactical knowledge, leading to this situation.
Simply put, Cotton learned too many tactics; although it had specialized training in focus, due to habitual issues, it still tends to multitask in battles, yet multitasking contradicts Heart Driven Spirit, which makes Cotton finding Heart Driven Spirit more difficult.
"Indeed, being omnipotent isn’t easy."
Feng Yuan understood Cotton’s situation; he smiled and said. Seeing Qi Chen still worried, Feng Yuan patted his shoulder and said:
"Alright, you can’t help her, and this isn’t exactly a bad thing. Although it can’t perform Heart Driven Spirit, Cotton’s capabilities don’t lose much combat power either."
Cotton is positioned for auxiliary combat and interference; for it, the flexibility of ultimate moves matters more than power and effect. Heart Controlling Spirit is significant for Cotton. But as of now, neither Cotton nor Qi Chen’s Ah Mu practices Heart Controlling Spirit, so this thing temporarily doesn’t have much impact.
After a series of tests, Feng Yuan found the situation of Heart Driven Spirit quite odd. For people like Qi Chen who don’t emphasize tactics much, their beasts find it easier to master Heart Driven Spirit techniques, whereas for someone like Dou Yanlan with many tactics, it’s difficult to master, even the logistics person faces this.
Due to his combat power growth stuck in a bottleneck, he has to let his beasts develop multidimensionally, which results in a noticeably higher difficulty compared to Ah Mu attempting to master Heart Driven Spirit.
As for Xiao Ji... Feng Yuan feels the opponent is unexpectedly lucky; because of this special trait, Xiao Ji masters Heart Driven Spirit swiftly. Sadly, Xiao Ji’s inherent ultimate move doesn’t have much need to perform in Heart Controlling Spirit yet.
Instead, Xiao Ji had some interesting effects appearing in the Fire Series ultimate moves it learned separately.
It was because of these ultimate moves that Feng Yuan drew his previous conclusion since Xiao Ji masters the Heart Driven Spirit effects of Fire Series ultimate moves faster than Ah Mu.
Feng Yuan doesn’t think this is due to Xiao Ji’s Divine Beast status, probably because Xiao Ji’s thoughts are simpler, though easily distracted during execution, there’s an advantage in entering the Heart Driven Spirit state.
"Hmm, this data is basically sufficient; although the improvement isn’t obvious, it’s a good enhancement for you all."
Recording this data, Feng Yuan clapped his hands and said. Qi Chen looked at Feng Yuan and asked:
"What do you plan next?"
"Of course, go to the Flowing Cloud Convention; it’s getting late, arriving there, probably the Star Lamp should be starting, and as for dinner... how about buying some fast food on the way past Data Square?"
Qi Chen stared at Feng Yuan for a moment, seeing the other wasn’t joking, he sighed and said:
"Okay, you’re not considering having dinner at the restaurant?"
"Haha, no need, Star Lamp, I haven’t seen it yet, besides, such odd phenomena can happen during the day, what unexpected things might happen at night?"
Feng Yuan laughed, looking at Long Boduo, who responded in silence. No choice; the daytime changes are related to it, but the influence shouldn’t extend into the night, right?
