"Speaking of which, among the Mythological Remnants, those Kastantos people are also quite troublesome. Although it’s certain they’re plotting something, we have absolutely no idea where they are."
Veronia’s words once again made everyone a little uneasy. The journey to the Parallel World verified the existence of the Kastantos Remnants, and their connection to the anomalies in the Parallel World is undeniable.
That group of Mythological Remnants might have been duped, or perhaps they realized there was an issue but still chose to cooperate. After all, there are some things they truly don’t understand.
What really makes everyone worry is the possible existence of Divine Beasts backing Kastantos. Back in the Mythical Era, every country had several Divine Beasts supporting them, and due to intense battles, most of those Divine Beasts were of the top-level category.
It’s not surprising that they haven’t appeared in the Divine Beast intelligence network, just like Veronia, who hadn’t manifested before Feng Yuan found her.
However, if those Divine Beasts have some special plans, it could be troublesome. Given their power, causing a disturbance would be all too easy.
Dealing with them would be extremely difficult, after all, they can create a Parallel World from nothing, so naturally, they have other means to produce more chaos.
If another problem similar to the Parallel World arises, Feng Yuan might find himself quite troubled.
"I’ve never hoped so much for those guys to behave and not stir up trouble."
Sighing, Feng Yuan felt a bit helpless. Unlike the group of Mythological Remnants, he really couldn’t predict what the Kastantos people would do.
Feng Yuan and his group played in the plaza until sunset before leaving, but despite this, they still had many entertainment activities left to experience.
"I didn’t expect so many entertainment activities, but none seem to have any intense combat content."
With his hands behind his head, Feng Yuan spoke somewhat disappointedly. While these entertainment activities included battles, they were nowhere near as intense as formal combat.
"After all, they’re designed for ordinary people; too intense and problems arise. Plus, during the last resource war... quite a few people died."
Qi Chen sighed; news about this has been a hot topic recently. As for the Parallel World?
Even the anomalies it caused were forbidden from being mentioned, let alone the Parallel World event itself. Humans don’t know much about this, and the Divine Beasts chose to keep the information strictly confidential to prevent outsiders from probing.
It couldn’t be helped; once humans learn the detailed information, some might be tempted to take risks, which is quite dangerous for them.
This time, if it wasn’t for Feng Yuan, relying solely on Agunas and the others, it would have been difficult to resolve the Parallel World event. If it happens again, and Feng Yuan doesn’t intervene, the consequences are unpredictable.
From the Alliance’s perspective, in order to avoid the general public’s concern over this anomaly, they had no choice but to push the issue of the resource war forward.
"Hmm, that, I saw too. The problem isn’t actually that big. Although the death rate is much higher than in previous years, there was no choice; when such events occur, the Divine Beasts can’t ensure their safety."
Feng Yuan naturally saw the relevant information and knew roughly what was happening. But he didn’t mind much.
Couldn’t be helped; this possibility was anticipated from the beginning. Everyone was initially guarded against it happening, but when the Parallel World appeared, they became powerless to focus on that issue.
In comparison, the Parallel World posed a greater danger, and as for the resource war... they could only choose to leave it be. Otherwise, if the Parallel World breaches the real world, the issue becomes more severe.
"Feng Yuan, there’s something I need your help with."
"What?"
Suddenly, Agunas spoke seriously to Feng Yuan, causing him to feel uneasy. Agunas doing this likely meant something significant was about to happen.
"Within the Cave of Garomar on the Northern Snow Plain, there are traces of their presence. I hope you can help investigate."
"Ugh... heading to the Northern Snow Plain in this season, it’s so cold."
Feng Yuan instinctively wrapped his coat tighter, feeling reluctant. The Northern Snow Plain remained snow-covered even in summer, let alone now as winter approached.
However, the matter Agunas spoke of couldn’t be ignored, although it wasn’t explicitly stated. Feng Yuan could still guess that Agunas was referring to Kastantos Remnants.
But why did they go there?
"Fine, I’ll reluctantly accompany you on this trip. Hmm, this time I’ll go alone."
Glancing at Qi Chen and the others, Feng Yuan had no intention of inviting them to the Northern Snow Plain. That place is in the real world, and even if the Kastantos Remnants were merely hiding in the background, the Divine Beasts wouldn’t let them off easily.
So Feng Yuan didn’t need to bring anyone else to make things convenient. If something did happen, he could directly bring the Divine Beasts to aid in battle.
If it truly were Kastantos Remnants, Feng Yuan suspected even bringing Qi Chen and the others wouldn’t provide much advantage.
After all, Qi Chen and the others could intervene in such high-level battles thanks to their enhanced states, while the Kastantos Remnants might have means specifically targeting these tactics.
Even the group of Mythological Remnants might have such means, they just hadn’t used them.
The darkness of the Devouring World itself lacked intelligence, so it wouldn’t use such tactics. Otherwise, Feng Yuan and the others would have had a more difficult battle.
"Be careful."
Qi Chen and Dou Yanlan looked at Feng Yuan, not thinking of joining the excitement. Although Agunas didn’t explicitly state, they could still guess that it was likely a major event.
"Rest assured. But speaking of this matter, it should have nothing to do with me, right? Haha, it’s just that recently I had bad luck, so it turned out this way~"
Feng Yuan spoke cheerfully, thinking of something, while Veronia looked at him, speechless.
"You’re still tangled up in this matter?"
"Otherwise? If trouble occurs wherever I go, I won’t dare to wander, okay? But the Northern Snow Plain, fortunately, there’s the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound."
Thinking about the snow-covered land, Feng Yuan sighed. If it weren’t for involving Kastantos Remnants, he really wouldn’t want to go there; it’s too cold.
"Let’s set off tomorrow; the sooner we finish, the sooner we return. There’re still several entertainment projects left to do."
Feng Yuan said this, directly heading towards the Department Store. He planned to buy a new cotton coat; without one there, he could only rely on his ultimate move.
"Traces of their appearance in the Northern Snow Plain, are you referring to the Kastantos Remnants?"
At night, Veronia pulled Agunas into the garden and whispered, glancing at her, Agunas flicked its tail.
"Otherwise?"
"But why would they go to such a place?"
"Who knows? The messages they sent back indicate suspicious traces from the Mythical Era with mountain force. To be honest, there’s something I’ve always wanted to figure out."
Agunas said, looking at Tamur. It felt their previous judgment might have been mistaken.
Lightly swaying its body, Tamur asked,
"What issue?"
"Has the mountain force of Kastantos really vanished completely? Or do they have remnants in reality, but due to the Kastantos you created, we’ve misunderstood."
Staring at Tamur, Agunas asked solemnly. Previously, they believed those mountain forces and the devices pointing to the Kastantos relics were created by Tamur.
But now Agunas wondered if they still carried remnants belonging to them into modern times.
"I don’t know."
"I can’t sense the breath of creatures from the Mythical Era regardless of distance, even if they carry their past history that arrives."
Tamur’s response made Agunas furrow its brow. Although Tamur said it didn’t know, Agunas felt that the Kastantos site probably existed; it just didn’t know where exactly.
"Only traces from the Mythical Era and mountain force? I’m inclined to think it might be Mythological Remnants."
Veronia spoke up with an idea. Agunas flicked its tail.
"Can’t rule out that possibility, but it’s a bit too convenient."
"Maybe it’s just that convenient. However, if it truly is like that, it’d be great. After all, Kastantos wasn’t exactly a well-behaved group in the past."
Gazing at the starry sky, Veronia murmured softly.
