Just as Фэн Юань was pondering these things, Agunas and the others arrived. Seeing the brand-new estate, Agunas swished its tail and said helplessly:
"Honestly, if you had been any later with your message, Big Cat and the others would have started preparing dinner."
Though Фэн Юань didn’t always eat in his dorm, Big Cat and the others would still prep food for Kong Qing and the others. This time, Фэн Юань suddenly said he wanted to have a barbecue party at the estate. If Big Cat hadn’t started preparing late, they’d be worrying about what to do with the half-made dinner.

"I just thought of it suddenly~ By the way, why don’t we have Big Cat bring over those prepared foods too? Just barbecuing doesn’t seem enough~"

Glancing at Agunas, Фэн Юань replied with a hint of annoyance:

Especially as Ци Чэнь and the others habitually sought out the functionality hidden in various corners of the estate, they were astonished to discover that Фэн Юань had considered these things during his designs, making those functional facilities quite convenient for the juvenile spirit beasts to use.
"You’ve done a pretty good job with this place. Any chance you’re moving your dorm here?"
Veronia didn’t take a tour around; just with a glance, she could guess the layout. Curious, she asked Фэн Юань, considering that though class convenience was another matter, in terms of living convenience, this place was far superior to the academy villa dorm Фэн Юань currently resided in.
With a helpless shrug, Фэн Юань said:
"That’s impossible, this place is prepared for the spirit beasts. Other than treating them, I don’t plan to interfere much with this place."
Saying this, Фэн Юань casually scooped up Xiao Ji, hugging it as he added:
"I don’t want to get entangled in those matters, attracting all sorts of messy problems. Although... sigh, never mind."
Shaking his head, Фэн Юань didn’t continue. Veronia was stunned for a moment before realizing Фэн Юань’s meaning—was he worried the same group of people’s problems would happen again?
Though Veronia considered the likelihood low, who knows? What they might deem insignificant could be of monumental importance to the young spirit beasts.
Thinking of this, Veronia inevitably looked at Xiao Ji, which was a typical example. Despite numerous influencing factors, at least for now, Xiao Ji was still highly dependent on Фэн Юань.
Фэн Юань didn’t notice Veronia’s strange gaze as he was busy directing Patado to prepare for the barbecue party. Besides Patado, he invited nearby spirit beasts to join.
However, perhaps because of Agunas’ presence, few of those "neighbor" spirit beasts ended up coming.
"Xiao Ji, isn’t your skewer done yet? Hey, Fluffy Fire Wolfhound, that’s Big Cat’s! Don’t run off with it!"
At the beginning of the barbecue party, everyone was a bit reserved. But as Xiao Ji and Fluffy Fire Wolfhound began to create a ruckus, people started loosening up.
Especially the Patado group, though generally shy because of their origins in human zoos, it took them some time to adjust to the lively surroundings.
But it was merely temporary. As they gradually got influenced by the bustling atmosphere, the Patado eventually stopped being so reserved.
Tamur watched Фэн Юань playing tag with Xiao Ji and the others. While in a daze, Tamur suddenly felt something greasy poke its cheek.
Turning in wonder, Tamur saw Veronia holding a much larger skewer, lightly touching Tamur’s head with it.
"Want some? The food is the same as always; it tastes pretty good."
Though Patado mainly handled the cooking, with Фэн Юань overseeing, the barbecue ended up quite good. To Veronia at least, this grilled meat was quite a delicacy.
Staring at Veronia for a moment, Tamur suddenly opened its mouth, pulling down the front piece of grilled meat with the skewer and gulped it down. Seeing Tamur wasn’t planning to take the skewer, Veronia chuckled softly and continued holding it for him.
Noticing Veronia seemingly playing a feeding game with Tamur, Agunas shook its head in exasperation. Thinking of something, it turned to look at Фэн Юань. That guy did have a knack for guiding the atmosphere. Though Agunas wasn’t sure how Фэн Юань did it, getting Tamur and Veronia to start goofing around clearly meant he’d done something right.
However, it wasn’t a bad thing. Given Tamur’s special circumstances, Agunas had been somewhat concerned for the other.
Now, it turned out to be an unexpected blessing.
"Haha, what do you think? The special grilled meat is unique, isn’t it~"
Watching the Fluffy Fire Wolfhound almost breathing fire, Фэн Юань chuckled mischievously, and Xiao Ji looked at Фэн Юань with awe. Xiao Ji hadn’t expected Фэн Юань to concoct such fearsome food while they were unawares.
Though Fluffy Fire Wolfhound had a decent tolerance for spice, even so, consuming the special grilled meat left its mouth feeling like it was on fire.
"Aren’t you afraid it’ll get angry after bullying it like this?"
Ци Чэнь remarked speechlessly to Фэн Юань, wondering where he’d found such potent seasonings that even Fluffy Fire Wolfhound couldn’t endure the spiciness.
With a chuckle, Фэн Юань passed over a bowl of ice water, saying:
"Didn’t I say it was spicy? It wanted to try anyway~"
Whatever Фэн Юань had added to that ice water, once Fluffy Fire Wolfhound drank it, it seemed much better. Surprisingly, after drinking, it eyed the skewer of seasoned meat again, eager to try more.
Beside them, Xiao Ji chirped curiously, with Fluffy Fire Wolfhound responding in turn. Judging by Xiao Ji’s expression, the answer wasn’t quite what it wanted.
Seeing Xiao Ji’s puzzled look, Фэн Юань chuckled and said:
"How about giving it a try yourself? You can only know how it tastes by personal experience~"
Glaring at Фэн Юань, Xiao Ji let out a dissatisfied chirp, suspecting Фэн Юань wasn’t up to any good. But seeing Fluffy Fire Wolfhound tentatively nibbling at the grilled meat again made Xiao Ji’s curiosity itch.
Agunas guessed what happened. The high-spice seasoning likely benefited Fluffy Fire Wolfhound, explaining its reaction. As for Xiao Ji...
Should curiosity win over, it might be tussling with Фэн Юань for a while.
