"As of now, that seems to be the case, but the ultimate move of space slicing hasn’t been affected."
As Veronia spoke, she demonstrated the ultimate move of space slicing. The sharp spatial energy didn’t show any form changes apart from the usual domain augmentation, which made Фэн Юань stroke his chin and say in amazement,
"So, you’re saying the domain can, to some extent, change the form of certain ultimate moves? That’s interesting."
"We still don’t know which ultimate moves will be affected by domains, and given that they can change move forms, why can’t new special ultimate moves emerge?"
Veronia looked over at Фэн Юань, and with a mischievous smile, Фэн Юань said,
"It seems that this is quite a significant research topic. However, has the breeding site been sorted out as well?"
"Are you planning to set aside the Crystal Domain matter for now?"
Hearing this from Фэн Юань, Veronia immediately grasped his intention. Nodding, Фэн Юань said,
"Pretty much. The Crystal Domain doesn’t seem that simple. These complex issues are probably best left until they figure out something from their research."
With the changes in ultimate move forms, Фэн Юань understood that the Crystal Domain is no trivial matter. If it’s just a field skill, that’s one thing, but there’s a possibility that different Crystal Domains could cause various ultimate moves to change, leading to varying results in battles.
However, this matter isn’t of great relevance to Фэн Юань, given that he doesn’t even participate in formal Укротитель зверей tournaments.
No chance, even though his strength is comparable to Божественный зверьs and even if he brought Xiao Ji into play, due to his age, he’d have to compete in the group with Yang Hongzhi and the others.
Even with only Xiao Ji as his Духовный зверь, Фэн Юань could easily overpower them. Even if Crystal Domains were used, suppressing Xiao Ji wouldn’t be an easy task.
Comparatively, the matter with the breeding site is more critical, especially as the equipment installation is complete and Patado and others are moving in. Фэн Юань believes it’s about time to start adopting those young Духовные звери.
Putting away the Crystal Stone, Veronia floated beside Фэн Юань, noticing Wu Dingwu, who seemed to have something to say but hesitated. Veronia curiously said,
"It seems someone is looking for you~"
"Hmm? Wu Dingwu? Is there something you need?"
Prompted by Veronia, Фэн Юань noticed Wu Dingwu beside him, appearing as if he wanted to say something but held back. Scratching his head, Фэн Юань said,
"You... need my help?"
"Uh, well... sort of... um... do you know where Domain Crystals can generally be found?"
"Domain Crystals... I got them from Veronia and them. The distribution of those things... shouldn’t be compiled so quickly. Do you want Domain Crystals?"
Thinking it over, Фэн Юань wasn’t too sure. Domain Crystals would definitely become widespread in the future, but for now, as they’re still under research, there’s likely to be a slight shortage.
Especially since Domain Crystals have appeared at the entrance of Maomu Academy, Фэн Юань couldn’t confidently say what their distribution situation was.
"Looking for areas with the corresponding environment, places with more concentrated attribute energy usually have them."
Veronia glanced at Фэн Юань as she spoke. Though she hadn’t searched for Domain Crystals, the Божественный зверьs had explored the possibility, especially after discovering a Spatial Domain Crystal at the entrance of Maomu Academy. Many Божественный зверьs were curious about the distribution of these things.
Of course, finding them according to energy distribution is relatively straightforward. Besides that, there are several unusual Domain Crystals appearing in unexpected places.
Scratching his hair, Wu Dingwu awkwardly said,
"Uh, the Domain Crystal for Grey Corner, should I look in rocky areas?"
"Hmm, probably not. Though the Rocky Antelope is an Earth System Духовный зверь, its natural habitat should be the forest, not the wilderness. However, I don’t have a Forest Domain Crystal."
Stroking his chin, Фэн Юань spread his hands, indicating he couldn’t help. If he had one, he could give it to Wu Dingwu, but unfortunately, he only had an Underworld Domain Crystal. Although the Hao Chun Bird could also utilize the Forest Domain, apart from whether the Hao Chun Bird with Ци Чэнь has the capability to use the Forest Domain, even if it could, the Domain Crystal given to Ци Чэнь is already his.
Фэн Юань wouldn’t take back what he’s given away. Thinking it over, Фэн Юань said,
"That was given to me by the Yimu Qinglong. If you want it, I can help you ask it where to find it, but right now, I wouldn’t recommend researching this thing. It involves quite a bit."
No other choice. The Crystal Domain doesn’t just change the power of ultimate moves in the field; even some ultimate move forms can change. There’s also the possibility of moves that synergize with the Crystal Domain appearing, so Фэн Юань doesn’t think it’s a good idea for them to start mastering the Crystal Domain now.
They should at least wait for Maomu University to come up with some results. Otherwise, like Wu Dingwu’s Grey Corner—a Духовный зверь of the Earth System—opening a Wilderness Domain? Though it isn’t impossible, Фэн Юань feels it’s somewhat inappropriate.
Whether it’s Nether Soil or the Forest Domain, it doesn’t seem to be purely divided by attributes. Instead, it seems more related to habitat?
"There should be Forest Domain Crystals in the back mountain. I can help you find them."
At this point, Tamur suddenly said. Wu Dingwu hurriedly waved his hands and said,
"Uh, no need, I, actually..."
Circling around Фэн Юань, Tamur said,
"I’ll be back in a bit."
Watching Tamur head toward the back mountain, Фэн Юань scratched his head and said,
"Would there be any in the back mountain?"
"The energy there is rich, so there might be quite a few Domain Crystals. But why would a Spatial Domain Crystal appear here?"
Veronia giggled lightly as she expressed some confusion. Other areas made sense; for instance, the Underworld Domain Crystal is in the Netherworld, but the Spatial Domain Crystal...
Is there a rich spatial energy at the entrance of Maomu Academy? Why doesn’t it feel that way?
If it’s not related to energy, then what are the conditions for the birth of Domain Crystals? They can’t just appear randomly, can they? That would be quite troublesome.
Just like the Spatial Domain Crystal, they had also discovered a Temporal Field Crystal. However, the location where the Temporal Field Crystal was found was equally strange, and its effects were as peculiar as those of the Spatial Domain Crystal.
If the effects of White Mist Territory and Black Mist Territory relate to ability changes, the Temporal Field Crystal seems true to its name, with effects related to time. Yet, unlike the clearly defined effects of the White Mist Territory and Black Mist Territory, the Temporal Field’s effect, based on their tests, was that the duration of moves would change randomly.
It could either extend or shorten, but how exactly it changes, even Lorraine Tower couldn’t figure it out.
Compared to the space-interfering effects of the Spatial Domain, the odd effects of the Temporal Field seem to lack practical use.
Furthermore, they were puzzled about why the Temporal Field Crystal appeared beneath a snack shop—appearing in a clock shop might have made more sense.
"Hmm, aside from the traceable Domain Crystals, other Domain Crystals are very strange, both in effect and their locations."
Unable to hold back a mutter, Veronia conveyed the recently received information to Фэн Юань. After listening to Veronia, Фэн Юань paused before saying,
"They found a Temporal Field Crystal too? But the location is really..."
The energy concentration theory can essentially be dismissed. Фэн Юань doesn’t believe there’s abundant temporal energy in a snack shop. This means the Crystal might have randomly generated in that spot.
At least, Фэн Юань doesn’t think there are mineral deposits in a city. It’s a joke. If there were, it would’ve been found while laying the foundation or underground cable tunnels.
"Maybe, besides the regular Domain Crystals, the other Domain Crystals appear somewhat arbitrarily?"
Veronia speculated. Based on what she saw in the Божественный зверь intelligence network, the distribution of these special Domain Crystals truly lacks any pattern.
"I wonder if they’ve found any conclusions yet."
Sighing, Фэн Юань glanced at Wu Dingwu and the other classmates, who wore expectant expressions but dared not advance, as he said to Veronia.
