Meanwhile.
Huizi had been waiting for a long time but hadn’t heard back from Aunt Tang.
She had started to think that Aunt Tang had decided against making an additional investment.
She was, of course, a little disappointed.
However, now that Huizi had taken over the real estate projects,
she had met more people and experienced more things.
She had a clearer and more open-minded perspective on certain matters.
She was more philosophical about things.
Just as Huizi was mentally preparing herself,
a message from Aunt Tang arrived:
"I’m getting older, so I’m looking for stability. I’d like to make some additional investments."
"However, I’ve already transferred all the family businesses to my son."
"For any follow-up matters, just have my son talk with Mr. Lin. They’ve exchanged contact information before."
After explaining this to Huizi, Aunt Tang started steering the conversation toward casual chitchat.
When Huizi learned that Aunt Tang was indeed planning to invest, she felt a wave of relief.
She immediately relayed the news to Lin Feng that Aunt Tang’s son would be handling the contact.
Either way, it didn’t matter who was handling it.
The money would ultimately end up in the investment company.
Besides, Huizi had a faint feeling that with such a large sum of money, Lin Feng might handle the investment personally.
「At the same time.」
When Zhou Zhidong tried to contact Lin Feng,
Lin Feng was on his way to a shopping plaza with Su Ruoxi.
So he didn’t see the message.
Lin Feng currently had a large stack of Cashback Cards on hand.
Letting them sit around would be a waste.
So he decided to take Su Ruoxi out for a shopping spree.
Before long, the two arrived at the Patek Philippe boutique.
When Zhang Lu saw Lin Feng arrive, her face immediately broke into a smile.
It was all thanks to Yang Tianming’s earlier reminder to Zhang Lu.
He had told Manager Zhang that Lin Feng was a potential major client.
The watches Lin Feng had purchased during this period alone
were enough to meet Manager Zhang’s sales quota for half a year.
"Oh, it’s Mr. Lin."
Zhang Lu walked over with a smile, her long, slender legs striding forward.
Lin Feng and Zhang Lu were practically old acquaintances by now, so they greeted each other casually.
Zhang Lu glanced at Lin Feng and Su Ruoxi and said, "Are you two here to look at some watches?"
Lin Feng nodded. "I’ve gotten a bit tired of the ones I’ve been wearing and want to see some other styles."
The smile on Zhang Lu’s face grew wider.
"In that case, what price range is Mr. Lin considering this time? I can make some recommendations."
Lin Feng thought for a moment. He wasn’t really interested in watches in the hundred-thousands range anymore.
And his membership level had just been upgraded.
So Lin Feng asked, "Anything over two million will do."
Looking at Su Ruoxi beside him, Lin Feng added with a smile, "And we’ll look at some ladies’ models, too."
Zhang Lu smiled and said, "One moment, please."
She turned and came back with a tablet.
"Here’s the thing, Mr. Lin. Patek Philippe watches priced over a million have to be pre-ordered."
"Here are some of the models. You can take a look first, and the store will arrange for the stock to be delivered."
After taking the tablet, Lin Feng gave it a cursory glance,
but the appearance of one watch immediately caught his eye.
The watch’s appearance wasn’t flashy, but its overall design was very classic.
It had a lot of charm.
Stylish, yet understated.
Lin Feng quite liked this one.
Nearby, Zhang Lu noticed that Lin Feng’s gaze lingered a little longer on the description for this particular model.
So Zhang Lu immediately stepped forward and began her introduction:
"This watch was hand-polished by the Swiss master watchmaker Kaelin. The entire process took a full year."
"It’s designed with an understated style, and production is limited, so the price is not low."
"This model costs around five million four hundred thousand..."
As she mentioned the price, Zhang Lu specifically glanced at Lin Feng’s expression.
She felt a little dazed.
Just a few months ago, this young man was only looking at watches worth a few hundred thousand.
But now, upon hearing a price in the millions, his expression didn’t change at all.
It was as if five million was the same to him now as a few hundred thousand was back then.
Su Ruoxi, who was standing to the side, had previously witnessed Lin Feng’s money-making abilities in the stock market at his company.
So now, seeing a price tag in the millions, she too remained completely unfazed.
Lin Feng tapped his finger on the model. "I like this one a lot. How long would it take to ship to Yang City?"
Zhang Lu snapped back to her senses and contacted the head office with a smile.
"It should arrive in about a week."
"Is Mr. Lin sure he wants this one?"
The reason Zhang Lu asked this extra question
was because the price of this watch exceeded five million.
And this was just the model Lin Feng had chosen for himself.
Su Ruoxi was still looking on the side.
If the lady were to pick a watch in a similar price range,
then Lin Feng’s spending for the day would approach the ten-million mark.
Besides, this Patek Philippe was priced at five million four hundred thousand.
Even in a place like Yang City, over five million was enough to buy an apartment.
Yet Lin Feng was investing this money in a watch.
’It’s like he’s wearing an apartment on his wrist.’
What was even more shocking was that the Mr. Lin before her was probably still a student in school.
And he already possessed such financial power...
In her daze, Zhang Lu had the illusion that she had witnessed Lin Feng’s growth.
’But this rate of growth is just too fast.’
The leap from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands wasn’t that big.
But jumping from hundreds of thousands to millions all at once...
and even heading straight for the tens of millions...
That was a leap across several social classes.
Such speed was truly astonishing.
Lin Feng looked at Zhang Lu, nodded, and said, "I’ll take this one. Please have it shipped over as soon as possible."
After speaking with Zhang Lu, Lin Feng turned to look at Su Ruoxi, who was still picking one out.
"Ruoxi, found anything you like?"
Su Ruoxi was enthusiastically browsing the ladies’ watches section.
"I’m actually interested in these two, but I don’t know which one to choose."
Su Ruoxi had selected two watches.
One was a square-faced model in a pale gold color.
It looked small and exquisite and would surely look wonderful on Su Ruoxi’s wrist.
The other one was a pale, sky-blue color overall.
It was no wonder Su Ruoxi had picked this one out.
The color scheme was quite elegant, and a blue watch on one’s wrist would naturally be eye-catching.
Zhang Lu stepped forward to introduce them. "This pale gold ladies’ watch has a British style and was designed by a female designer."
"The price is around three million."
"The designer of this sky-blue watch is also from Switzerland. The craftsmanship is more meticulous, so the price is a bit higher."
"Coincidentally, this sky-blue watch and the one Mr. Lin was looking at were created by the same master craftsman."
"It’s just that Mr. Lin’s model was personally handcrafted by the master."
"This one is around three million seven hundred thousand."
"If you choose this watch, we’ve also thoughtfully noted that while the sky-blue strap is beautiful, it’s not easy to match with outfits."
"So this watch also comes with two complimentary straps in other colors to make it easier for ladies to coordinate."
After hearing Zhang Lu’s explanation,
Su Ruoxi made up her mind.
She pointed her finger at the sky-blue watch. "Since the service is so considerate, I think I’ll take this one."
Lin Feng, who was beside her, had already seen through Su Ruoxi’s little scheme.
He tapped the tip of her nose. "You want to wear a watch designed by the same person as me?"
Su Ruoxi’s face turned slightly red. "Don’t expose me!"
By this point, Zhang Lu had already stepped aside.
Both of these watches required pre-ordering.
They would then be shipped from overseas.
Zhang Lu was off to the side, negotiating the timeline with her overseas contacts.
After a short while, Zhang Lu walked up to Lin Feng with a smile:
"Mr. Lin, if both watches are shipped together, it will take about one to two weeks."
"Once the watches arrive at the boutique, I will contact you immediately."
Lin Feng nodded coolly and directly took out his bank card.
"Let’s settle the payment first, then."
Zhang Lu took the bank card with a beaming smile.
The two watches together came to a price of around nine million one hundred thousand.
For such a price, Lin Feng handed over his card to be swiped without even blinking.
It was as if this amount of money was just pocket change to him.
The smile on Zhang Lu’s face deepened even more.
’Mr. Yang truly is a boss with high standards.’
It was all thanks to Yang Tianming giving her that tip back then.
Zhang Lu’s attitude toward Lin Feng had been excellent from the very beginning.
Otherwise, wouldn’t she have been pushing away a huge patron?
In just a few months, this young man was pre-ordering nearly ten million worth of watches.
And his expression hadn’t changed in the slightest.
"Mr. Lin, including your previous purchases with us, your total spending has now exceeded ten million."
"Therefore, I’ve already upgraded your membership level in our system."
"From now on, you can enjoy our at-home services."
"We will also send the latest models to your email for you to browse as soon as they are released."
Zhang Lu’s attitude became even more deferential.
Lin Feng nodded. ’It seems there’s a difference between the ten-million-level service and the million-level one.’
’This way, if I want to shop in the future, I can just wait at home for Zhang Lu and her team to come to me.’
’Or I could just pick directly from the latest models.’
Just as Lin Feng was lost in thought, he heard the system’s voice.
When Lin Feng was paying just now, he had directly used a Cashback Card.
After all, the main reason for coming out today was to use up these Cashback Cards.
Otherwise, letting them sit around would be a complete waste.
[DING...]
[Congratulations, Host. You have received a 3x cashback multiplier.]
[Cashback amount for this transaction: 27,300,000. It has been deposited into the Host’s account via bank channels. Please check your balance.]
He bought over nine million worth of watches.
And received over twenty-seven million in return.
He had actually made a profit of over eighteen million.
Lin Feng instantly felt refreshed and invigorated.
’It seems that shopping every now and then really can relax the mind and body.’
’And I can even earn some money.’
All in all, it was a guaranteed-profit, no-loss deal.
And so, after leaving the boutique, Lin Feng immediately took Su Ruoxi to the commercial street.
