This skincare set.
According to the sales associate, it was a one-month supply for one person.
If the four of them used it together, it should last about a week.
As for whether it was effective, they would find out in a week. If it worked, he could just buy another set.
Lin Feng wasn’t a stingy person. If he had something good, of course he would share it with his roommates.
Besides, he was now making over 20,000 a day.
That was enough to buy two of these skincare sets.
After some effort, the four of them finally finished applying the essence.
Lying in bed, they felt a cool, very comfortable sensation on their faces.
"I’m telling you, expensive stuff really is better!"
"I feel like my skin is slowly repairing itself."
Cao Ming said with immense enjoyment as he lay in bed.
"Yeah, right. Go to sleep."
"Not even a miracle elixir would work as fast as you’re describing!"
Yang Qiniang, who was playing on his phone, couldn’t help but retort when he heard Cao Ming.
Cao Ming didn’t get angry.
He was getting to use good stuff, so he was happy to just enjoy it on the sly.
"By the way, Old Lin, my sister asked for your WeChat, so I sent it to her."
Yang Qiniang said suddenly.
"Go ahead and send it."
"What, are you afraid I’ll get together with your sister?"
Lin Feng teased in a low voice from his bed.
"I’d love for you to get together with her! Then I might finally be free from her exploitation!"
"You’re richer than me anyway, so supporting my sister should be no problem!"
"Right, Brother-in-law Lin!"
Yang Qiniang joked back.
Hearing this, Lin Feng just smiled and said nothing.
Just then...
His phone suddenly vibrated twice.
He opened it to find two friend requests.
One was from Yang Qingqing, as her profile picture was a photo of herself.
The other, if he wasn’t mistaken, had to be Su Ruoxi!
’She must have added me before she went to sleep.’
Lin Feng accepted both requests and tapped open Su Ruoxi’s Friends Circle to take a look.
It turned out her profile was set to only show posts from the last three days.
In those three days, Su Ruoxi hadn’t posted anything.
Meanwhile, as soon as Yang Qingqing saw that Lin Feng had accepted her request, she immediately sent a sticker and a message: "Hi, Brother Feng."
Lin Feng had nothing better to do, so he started chatting with Yang Qingqing.
Both of them had a tacit understanding not to bring up Su Ruoxi.
Besides the small talk, Yang Qingqing also asked Lin Feng about how to invest in the stock market.
She said she had some money on hand and was looking for an investment channel.
Over the years, in addition to saving her own allowance, she had also been constantly siphoning off Yang Qiniang’s living expenses.
In Yang Qingqing’s own words,
she was afraid Yang Qiniang would turn into a spoiled rich kid like the others, so she had to take drastic measures by cutting off his funds, effectively turning him into a "not-so-rich kid."
That was why she constantly squeezed his living expenses.
All told, from middle school to now, she had squeezed nearly a million yuan out of Yang Qiniang.
In addition, she had also saved two million herself.
All together, that was a huge sum.
A savings of three million yuan was more money than an ordinary person might make in a lifetime.
But for Yang Qingqing’s family, it wasn’t much.
Lin Feng even thought that the amount Yang Qingqing had saved was a bit low. After all, they were a young master and young lady from a wealthy family.
’For them to have saved only three million yuan over so many years...’
’It seemed a bit illogical...’
However, leaving this money in the bank would only earn a little interest and serve no other purpose.
Coupled with currency depreciation, that little bit of interest was practically worthless.
As a top student at Yang City University, Yang Qingqing naturally understood this, which was why she wanted to find an investment channel to put her money into and make it grow.
And that was precisely why
Yang Qingqing had approached Lin Feng, hoping he would help her manage her finances.
Or, that he could teach Yang Qiniang his stock trading secrets. Then, once her brother had mastered them,
she would give all this money to Yang Qiniang.
It would be his startup capital, a way for him to learn how to manage money.
After hearing Yang Qingqing’s explanation, Lin Feng glanced at Yang Qiniang, who was already asleep in his bed, and felt quite moved.
’I originally thought Yang Qingqing was just exploiting her brother.’
’I never expected her to have such good intentions, to be so considerate of Yang Qiniang.’
’With a sister like that, Yang Qiniang truly doesn’t know how good he has it!’
Normally, Lin Feng should have agreed immediately.
Whether it was helping her manage her finances or teaching Yang Qiniang to trade stocks, it was a positive thing to do.
But the problem was, Lin Feng didn’t know the first thing about trading stocks!
Although the money rewarded by the system was transferred to his account through the stock market,
Lin Feng himself had never actually traded a single stock.
If he agreed, those three million yuan would surely go down the drain.
So, after some thought, Lin Feng declined.
Seeing Lin Feng’s refusal, Yang Qingqing wasn’t upset. Everyone has the right to make their own choices.
They chatted for a little while longer before ending their conversation.
After half a month of military training, the four roommates were already exhausted. On top of that, they had been out and about for so long today.
Lin Feng was also incredibly drowsy.
He put down his phone and groggily drifted off to sleep.
「The next day.」
It was finally time for their first university class.
This also meant that Lin Feng and his friends’ university life was about to officially begin.
Unlike high school, university didn’t have fixed classrooms.
Instead, classes were scattered in different locations. You went to whichever classroom was assigned for that specific course.
Aside from his roommates, Lin Feng had barely interacted with any of his other classmates.
On the first day of school, there had been a brief orientation meeting for new students.
Everyone met and briefly introduced themselves.
But before he could even put all the faces to names, the teaching assistant had dismissed the meeting...
Therefore, Lin Feng was quite looking forward to meeting his new classmates properly.
’I wonder if there are any pretty girls.’
The four of them joked around as they made their way to the lecture hall for their class.
When they entered the classroom, it was already packed with people—a sea of faces, at least a hundred of them.
University courses,
were mostly taught with two classes from the same major combined.
For example, Lin Feng’s class, Finance Class 8, was taking this course together with Class 9.
That’s why there were so many people.
Yang City University had twenty departments in total.
Lin Feng’s Finance Class 8 belonged to the Department of Finance, majoring in Applied Economics.
This major was also one of Yang City University’s key programs.
Even on a national level, it was highly ranked.
Back then, Lin Feng had chosen this major specifically because it would be easy to find a job with this degree.
But now, it seemed Lin Feng no longer needed to look for a job.
"Old Lin..."
"The quality of the girls in our class seems a little lacking."
Just then, Cao Ming’s voice came from beside him.
Lin Feng subconsciously scanned the classroom.
He noticed there were many girls, and they were dressed in light, summery clothes, but only a few could be considered pretty.
Of course...
They had just started university, so most of the girls were still rather plain.
’They haven’t learned how to do their makeup yet. Maybe they’ll become prettier in the future?’
’After all, the "Four Great Sorceries of East Asia" are no joke!’
