In truth, Tang Yi was also a bit surprised that he had fought Hex Anmin to a standstill with a single strike. Although his opponent had relied on an external item, a Pseudo-Battle Emperor was still a Battle Emperor, while a Battle King was just a Battle King. There was an entire major tier separating them. The difference in their Levels should have been more than enough to compensate for any gap in Tang Yi’s own Power.
Since his Power had increased, Tang Yi had never fought a Battle Emperor one-on-one. At first, he had been worried he couldn’t match Hex Anmin. But after that exchange, his confidence surged. He now had a rough idea of this Pseudo-Battle Emperor’s limits.
"Hmph, the real show is just beginning. Don’t get too cocky!"
Hearing Tang Yi’s words, Hex Anmin’s face darkened with displeasure. With a flash, he shot into the sky and issued a challenge to Tang Yi. "Do you dare fight me in the heavens?"
"What’s there to be afraid of?" Tang Yi said with a faint smile, flying up as well.
Seeing Tang Yi fly into the sky to face him from a distance, Hex Anmin couldn’t help but sneer. "Impressive courage, but what a pity. That courage won’t keep you alive for long. In fact, it might just send you to your grave even sooner! Now, die!"
With that, Hex Anmin threw a punch at Tang Yi.
"It’s not yet certain who will be the one to die," Tang Yi said calmly, throwing a punch toward Hex Anmin as well.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! The two began to clash head-on, fist against fist and palm against palm. Their figures wove through the sky, constantly punching and colliding.
One deafening boom followed another as ripples of Power emanated outward in all directions.
"Celestial Ghost Demon Flash!"
Hex Anmin roared, throwing a punch.
"Nightmare Strike!"
Tang Yi met it with a palm strike! BOOM! Once again, they were evenly matched. Both were sent flying back by the force of the impact!
Hex Anmin had barely neutralized the Rebound force when he lunged forward again, aiming another punch straight at Tang Yi’s face. Tilting his head slightly, Tang Yi countered with a backhanded chop toward Hex Anmin’s neck.
Hex Anmin blocked the chop with his left hand and thrust his right foot out in a kick aimed at Tang Yi.
Seeing the kick coming, Tang Yi met it with a kick of his own, their feet colliding in mid-air!
BANG! Foot against foot, they were both knocked back. It was another draw!
Ten minutes passed. The two had exchanged countless moves and clashed head-on an unknown number of times, yet there was still no victor. Neither could gain the upper hand.
’This can’t go on! My Level was forcibly raised by the Mad Demon Pill, and it won’t last much longer. If this drags on, I’m done for!’
After clashing with Tang Yi one more time, Hex Anmin used the Rebound force to put some distance between them, not rushing in again.
He frowned, a sense of urgency rising in his heart. He knew his current situation was extremely precarious. If he didn’t end this fight soon, the Mad Demon Pill’s effects would wear off. At that point, he would be left in a weakened state, and Tang Yi could kill him with a single finger.
’But even if I want to end this quickly, I have to actually be *able* to end it!’
’Tang Yi’s Power is just too great, he’s too difficult to deal with.’ Hex Anmin had absolutely no way of handling him!
When Hex Anmin had taken the Mad Demon Pill, he thought he could resolve this matter quickly, retrieve the Saint Spirit Blood, and then leave the Little Extreme Sacred Land to return to the Heaven-Devouring Sect ahead of schedule. The Extinction Pill. It could unleash a person’s latent potential, allowing a Martial Artist to erupt with extraordinary Combat Power for a short period.
The Extinction Pill’s effect was actually similar to that of the Mad Demon Pill. One forcibly raised a user’s Level, while the other unleashed their latent potential for a burst of powerful Combat Power. Both were supplementary Pills that granted a temporary boost in strength.
However... The Mad Demon Pill was an orthodox Pill, highly regarded and extremely precious. The Extinction Pill, on the other hand, was a forbidden medicine—a Pill that Martial Artists were prohibited from consuming!
The Saint Martial Continent had already banned the refinement of this medicine. Neither shops nor major auction houses sold or auctioned this Pill any longer. Sects wouldn’t distribute such items, either. The Extinction Pill could only occasionally be found on the black market.
