Kim Inhan tried to hide his nerves as he addressed his teammates with forced nonchalance.
“So, you came here to film a YouTube crafting video or something? Listen to those sound effects. Dramatic, huh?”
Laughter burst out from the ★ Novelight ★ Blue Lagoon members who’d been frozen stiff by their guildmaster’s banter.
At that moment, the unfinished teddy bear’s ears perked up at the sound of laughter.
Flick!
The guild members instantly fell silent.
Unbothered, the unfinished bear rummaged through the hip bag strapped to its chest and pulled out a strawberry yogurt, handing it forward.
— It would be best if you all just sat here and ate some yogurt while you wait.
By all accounts, that was a blatant provocation.
“What the...”
As the Blue Lagoon members clenched their jaws at the unprecedented insult, the bear’s gaze swept over them.
Sizing them up?
When its eyes finally met the guildmaster’s, Kim Inhan instinctively gripped his weapon tighter. Their gazes locked.
Come at me if you want, the look said.
Guru thought:
“Dey’we five of dem?”
Her hand trembled as she debated whether she should give out more yogurt.
“But if Gwuu gives dem aww... Gwuu not gonna eat any!”
But to the others, that trembling hand looked like she was barely holding back laughter — as if she were mocking them — and that made the Blue Lagoon guildmaster grit his teeth.
His face flushed hot with humiliation.
Kim Inhan reflexively reached out to push the bear’s shoulder, but forced himself to stop.
Touching the opponent first would be the end of it. If it escalated, it could become a full-blown guild war.
If there was contact, the other side would retaliate. If that turned into a physical altercation...
They were up against Hyeonak. A guild that boasted no less than four S-Rank combat Awakened — the undisputed top of Korea.
Blue Lagoon, with only A-Ranks, couldn’t afford to escalate.
Clenching his fist, Kim Inhan sneered and opened his mouth.
“You know what you’re doing right now, right, Hunter?”
‘You’re acting like a total thug right now, aren’t you?’
Jjapso calmly replied.
— I know exactly what I’m doing. No-name guild.
“It’s Blue Lagoon!”
Kim Inhan raised his voice slightly.
He knew full well that the other party was affiliated with Hyeonak and even recognized as Jjapso, yet the way they repeatedly pretended not to know his guild’s name—it was humiliating.
— I see. So you’re the guildmaster of Blue Lagoon. I’ve heard some things from the others outside. Blue Lagoon was afraid of this raid, weren’t they?
“...No!”
Kim Inhan snapped back, only to clamp his mouth shut.
The sneer on Jjapso’s face stabbed him in the chest like a dagger, as if saying, “Didn’t you guys say you couldn’t handle it?”
“Well, I mean...”
But Jjapso already knew they’d camped the dungeon entrance just to squeeze money out of it.
“You know how this business works too, Hunter...”
But Guru, knowing nothing of that, waved her hand.
— Hm, dis body ain’t doin’ dis fow a business. It’s just outta kindness. So no need ta say dank you.
'Fuck. What the hell is this?' The sheer unfairness of it all made Kim Inhan want to scream.
Then, one of his team members whispered behind him.
“This really feels like we fell for one of Hyeonak’s classic moves.”
Hyeonak’s classic moves.
Raiding other guilds’ dungeons without permission and, when mediation from the Association arrived, claiming, “We were just helping because it looked like they were struggling.”
It was textbook gang behavior.
Under normal circumstances, this would’ve led straight into a guild war, but Hyeonak’s insane power meant they welcomed even that.
They knew they’d win.
Lately, there hadn’t been any “Hyeonak’d” stories going around, and people joked, “Maybe even Hyeonak’s trying image management these days.”
'So why the hell are they suddenly picking a fight with us?! What the hell!'
Then, a thought suddenly flicked through his head.
'Did the film studio offer Hyeonak a better deal behind our backs? Are they trying to snatch this job from us?'
It was entirely plausible.
Hyeonak could crush a guild like Blue Lagoon whenever they wanted.
Kim Inhan growled.
“If you keep this up, Hunter, this might end up on the internet forums.”
It was a petty threat, sure — but he knew they couldn’t win a guild war. This was his attempt to shift the fight to public opinion.
But at those words, the unfinished bear’s ears perked up again.
Guru misunderstood completely.
'He gonna teww evewyone Gwuu hewped?'
She cleared her throat and tried to hide her smile.
— Gwuu wouldn’t weawwy wecommend dat... but if yoo wanna do it, go aheady~
Kim Inhan bit his lip in frustration.
Is she saying, “Go ahead, post it if you dare?”
Even that wouldn’t work. Then what could they possibly do?
All the guild members were staring at him now. He couldn’t lose face as guildmaster — not after paying so much for the dungeon bid.
He clenched his teeth and forced a smirk.
“Well then, Hunter. If we’re going to compromise, you’ll at least give us our share, right?”
That was how it always worked when you got “Hyeonak’d.”
They’d storm your dungeon, sure — but they’d return the byproducts afterward.
That was why the victim guilds couldn’t even rise up against them.
So, at the very least, get the byproducts. That’s what he meant — but Jjapso’s eyebrow twitched.
— You’re asking... fow mo’?
RUMBLE! BOOM!
The moment those words left her mouth, lightning began crackling through the temple, and Kim Inhan flinched.
He stepped back in fear of being struck and spoke quickly.
“It’s just... that’s always been the rule with Hyeonak raids...”
'Why isn’t Jjapso moving? Doesn’t she know she might get hit? Is this not the real body?'
But to Guru, who saw lightning as bubbly droplets, it was no concern. She blinked up, then nodded.
If giving more was Hyeonak’s rule, then she’d have to follow it too.
Reluctantly, she dug back into her hip bag.
— Yoo so gweedy.
The unfinished teddy bear pulled out two more yogurts and held them out.
That was all Guru had left in her stash.
Her entire supply.
But Kim Inhan misunderstood completely, and his face twisted in rage.
'Is she saying, “Take these and fuck off?”'
His fury surged into his throat. Even his guild members let out breathy, bitter laughs and began stepping forward.
“Oh, so now you’re asking for it!”
Kim Inhan couldn’t hold it in anymore and reached out to smack the little bear—
But then.
A glimmer of starlight flashed in the white hamster’s pupils.
In the same instant, Kim Inhan froze mid-motion, crushed beneath a massive, invisible weight.
Sweat streamed down his face like rain. His body wouldn’t move — and his guild members were paralyzed too.
RRRRUMBLE!
Thunder crashed around them, and heavy breathing filled the space.
Electric waves sparked at their flanks.
But the bear walked forward slowly, eyebrows relaxed, unaffected by any of it.
BOOM! BOOM! THUNDERCRACK!
She walked straight through the lightning-filled path without flinching.
And as a bolt of lightning struck just behind her, Jjapso spoke.
— Dis aww Gwuu can give.
Kim Inhan swallowed hard.
He’d looked into Jjapso out of curiosity before — but nothing had ever mentioned this.
'So this is... Jjapso’s true power?'
'Kim Inhan, an A-Rank Hunter... getting completely flattened by a crafter’s presence?'
If such a thing really existed, then this was a monster on On Jurim’s level.
— Why not take it?
That innocent question hit like a slap across the face.
A biting mockery of Blue Lagoon’s inability to overcome the suffocating presence of a so-called support class.
They were being openly humiliated — and none of them could speak.
The difference in level was so overwhelming, it crushed even their will to fight.
And then — whoosh.
The pressure lifted.
Kim Inhan’s legs gave out, and he dropped to his knees.
The unfinished teddy bear waddled up and held out the two yogurts again, right in front of him.
Kim Inhan took them with a blank, stupefied face.
Defeat.
Without ever drawing a weapon. Pathetically, completely.
He sucked in a deep breath and stood.
His shoulders were trembling.
“...Let’s go.”
At his words, the guild members silently followed.
Guru watched their slumped backs for a moment, then turned back around.
“Dey’we nice peopwe.”
Guru smiled, satisfied.
Sure, it was a little sad she wouldn’t get to eat yogurt in the dungeon.
“But dey gonna post it on da intewnet!”
Hyeonak had been trying to clean up their image lately anyway.
And now they were even going to say online that Guru helped?
Two yogurts was a small price to pay for PR.
Humming a tune, Guru strolled through the steamy bathhouse paths.
Then the child pushed open the large door marked boldly: Boss Bath.
