Chapter – This Is the Kind of Dad I Have
The sparkling sunlight tickled her eyes.
‘Mowning!’
As soon as morning came, Guru’s eyes shot open. She raised the round item she’d been cuddling all night high above her head again.
‘It’s not a dweam!’
With a walnut-sized lump forming on her chin, Guru tried to steady her trembling excitement.
She’d been anxious even as she slept with it in her arms, worried it might vanish come morning.

Guru jumped up and opened her <Crafting Helper for Kids> to check the blueprint for the [Metallic Armor Changer].
Just as she’d expected, its mechanism was similar to the mana amplification item that had caused Taemin to rampage previously.
The item seemed to transform runaway mana into metallic fibers, wrapping the user’s body in explosive mana-infused armor...

Guru whispered with concern, thinking back to when Taemin lost control. Veilach inspected the item and nodded.

He might scold her again for causing trouble, so last night’s events would remain a secret between Guru, Mephi, and Chuen.
While Guru got ready, a small commotion unfolded outside the room.
Iromi, who had woken at the crack of dawn, ran to PD Hwang to explain that the assistant staff member had been a plant from the former company president.
“He ran away the moment I caught him!”
Guru worried Iromi might mention Chuen, but thankfully, she spun a very believable story.
That the former president had sent someone to sabotage the show, and the intruder ran off when caught in the act of stealing...
It seemed Chuen’s goldfish had jumbled her memories a bit.
After that, the cast and crew checked their belongings, held a meeting until morning, and ultimately agreed to continue filming as planned.
And so, after a night of chaos, the new day officially began.

Meanwhile, Jurim... was lazy, sloppy, and didn’t act like an adult at all.
Guru stared at him with the worried eyes of a parent saddled with a useless child.

What if Jurim ended up getting bullied by the newbies? Guru’s anxiety skyrocketed.

After the stretches, the two adults (excluding Jurim) and two kids gathered to decide on breakfast.
“What should we do today?”
“Eggs are getting a bit boring.”
Woojoo nodded at Iromi’s comment. Then Guru clenched her tiny fist and declared with confidence:
“Fiwshies!”
“Fish?!”
“But don’t we have to catch them first?”
Woojoo and Iromi both looked startled.
But Guru, having already made up her mind, pulled out «N.o.v.e.l.i.g.h.t» her fork.
“Gwuu’s gonna catch dem!”
Then she pointed her finger at Jurim.
“Wif Daddychann!”
Jurim opened one eye and had a question mark floating over his head.
Guru snorted through her nose.
This time for sure, she’d capture Jurim’s coolest side on camera.
This is the kind of dad I have. She would definitely prove that the Guildmastuh of Hyeonak was dependable, kind, and amazing!
The road twisted through narrow country paths down toward the stream.
Jurim looked down at Guru, who led the way, glancing back occasionally to make sure he was following.
The way she looked so serious about catching fish—it almost felt desperate. It was a bit... strange.
He moved beside her and held her hand, and she smiled at him like a blooming sunflower.
Nothing else seemed off.
‘Is it me?’
As he smiled back and reflected on himself lately, Jurim flinched internally.
Maybe... maybe he hadn’t been paying enough attention to her.
They were all the way out here in the countryside, but the so-called “dad” hadn’t cared what his kid was doing—maybe she was getting anxious because of that.
Feeling disappointed in himself, Jurim ran a hand over his face.
He clenched and opened his left hand.
His nature had always been to thrive in adversity. The worse the odds, the stronger his will to win.
So, Jurim resolved to give Guru a little more attention.
And Guru, determined to capture her dad’s cool side, arrived with him at the stream.
Guru rummaged through her inventory and pulled out her fork and a kiddie cart.
“We gonna catch ‘em an’ put ‘em in hewe.”
“With that? Got it.”
“Wet’s catch da fishies!”
“Mm.”
Jurim rolled up her pant legs, picked her up, and gently placed her in the middle of the stream.
Fork in hand, Mephi on her head, Guru stood ankle-deep in the water.
“Hm?”
Meanwhile, Jurim half-lounged on a rock wearing sunglasses.
Why is he sunbathing when he’s supposed to be catching fish?
And why am I da one wif da fork...?
Before she could finish that thought—
“Guru, hold up your fork.”
“Yeh!”
Guru instinctively raised the fork with both hands.
“Stab.”
“...Haaat!”
She stabbed.
A fish wriggled on the end of her fork.
“Piiiiiiik!”
“Hyyooop!”
Mephisto and Guru both freaked out at the catch.
“Gwuu caught it!”
Guru tossed the fish into the cart, and Jurim ruffled her hair.
“Nice one.”
Fwoosh! Guru’s cheeks turned bright red.
“Go try again.”
Guru nodded and dashed back to the water with quick little steps.
Her lips tightened into a line, her eyes sharp like a seagull locked on prey.
She held the fork above her head like a baby warrior.
“Now.”
By the time Guru came to her senses, she’d caught around ten fish and the cameraman was giving her a thumbs-up.
“Did you have fun?”
“Uh-huh!”
“Then let’s head back since we’re all done.”
“Okaaay.”
Guru skipped from stone to stone, then stopped mid-hop.
‘Huh?’
It had been fun.
That part was true.
But that’s not what she’d meant to do.
‘Gwuu was so amazin’ today... didn’t even get to show Daddychann bein’ cool......’
Guru... got too hyped by da taste of fish stabbin’......
As Jurim pulled the cart over, ready to leave, Guru took his hand and began to sniffle.
When she looked up at him with teary eyes and trembling lips, he quickly scooped her up in a panic.
“Wh-Why are you crying all of a sudden?”
“Hiiing...”
“You wanna catch more fish? We don’t have to leave yet.”
Guru shook her head.
“Nooo... sniff!”
She wrapped her arms around Jurim’s neck.
“Sowwy, Daddychann.”
“For what?”
“Gwuu... was too amazin’.”
Today, Guru had been the amazing one.
But tomorrow... she was going to make sure to capture her dad’s most amazing side on camera...
“Uh... yeah. You were awesome. Caught a bunch of fish too.”
“Hnggh... kuh!”
Getting praised made Guru cry even harder—trying her best to hold it in.
Jurim, still confused, patted her back as he pushed the cart on the path home.
