After resting in the room for several hours, in the evening, the hotel’s dining cart directly delivered a meal to his room.
Li Younan did not order, and was served a portion of white people’s food.
Truth be told, white people’s food really doesn’t appeal to Li Younan’s tastes.
The most notable feature is that it’s raw and cold, vegetables that can be eaten raw are eaten directly, even for meat, they prefer cold cuts to preserve the original state of ingredients.
Furthermore, the calorie count is low, with basically no staple food.
For a top chef like Li Younan, eating such meals is rather torturous.
However, he was indeed a bit hungry, so he gobbled it down in a few bites, thought for a moment, and still decided to wander around the hotel’s restaurant and have a bit more.
Luckily, the hotel’s restaurant food is quite varied, Li Younan ordered a Mexican-style grilled meat dish, paired with white rice, which was fairly tasty.
After dinner, Li Younan thought about watching an NBA game the day after tomorrow, which would feature rich fan interaction sessions, particularly mid-game interactions that might include interesting challenges like shooting contests or dribbling contests.
Thinking back, Li Younan was once a basketball prince.
Though it has been a long time since he last played basketball formally, the foundation is still there, especially considering now his body has gained so many skill enhancements, physically, Li Younan feels he shouldn’t be inferior to some basketball players of similar build.
Of course, his height is quite tall among ordinary people, but in the NBA, where players are like human skyscrapers, it’s not impressive at all.
In terms of skills and tactical understanding, surely he couldn’t match real professional players.
But with a bit of practice, thanks to his current physical condition, he should manage to pull off a couple of dunks without much difficulty.
Imagine performing a few astonishing dunks in the NBA, a place watched by the whole world... Haha, those legendary stars from the Warriors and Lakers are in for a treat.
Additionally, Li Younan has archery skills; if he could hit the target precisely with a slingshot in zero frames before, perhaps his basketball shooting might improve too.
With this thought, Li Younan decided to take a stroll to the hotel’s basketball court.
...
Li Younan brought very few things on this trip, only a backpack with just a pair of changeable shoes and two sets of clothes inside.
His original plan was to buy some clothes and shoes upon arrival at the local area, not having to buy expensive ones, if they got dirty just throw them away, too lazy to wash, always maintaining a light-travel state
This could be considered a civilian version of luxury travel.
Fortunately, the hotel’s shop sells sports brand jerseys and shoes.
Li Younan didn’t buy a jersey of any particular star, just a no-number style and a pair of sneakers.
He planned to shoot hoops and practice dunking in the hotel’s basketball court, to get accustomed.
Who knows, maybe he’d have a chance to be selected for the mid-game fan interactive session during the game the day after tomorrow, which was something to look forward to.
The hotel’s basketball court isn’t included in the room fee and requires separate payment.
Playing basketball here for an hour costs 100 dollars.
Honestly, that’s pretty expensive.
But guests staying in this hotel must not be short of money, especially given that visiting teams often reside here, some athletes might choose to enhance their skills in this basketball court to maintain their touch, so charging such a fee isn’t surprising at all.
Li Younan paid the fee and entered the court.
This basketball court’s playing field is built completely according to NBA standards, but there are no spectator seats, only two full basketball courts.
The court has changing rooms, showers, and even a massage room.
When Li Younan arrived, there were only two black guys who didn’t seem to be good at playing basketball, entertaining themselves under one basket.
Those two black guys were even shorter than Li Younan, and their dribbling was very uncoordinated.
Li Younan recorded this scene with video, commenting, "I guess not everyone in the United States can play basketball."
Then he casually picked a hoop in an empty half-court.
Li Younan used a standard rented basketball from the court to warm up first; then he set up the filming equipment at the court’s edge, preparing to practice shooting there.
Honestly, it’s been a long time since he handled a basketball; the last time he played basketball, if remembered correctly, was in Jiuzhaigou, having a streetball match with the local Aba ball king.
But Li Younan is no longer the same as before; with so many skill enhancements, his physical condition now is far superior to that of back then.
Those extreme sports enhanced not only coordination and core strength but also the ability to quickly assess and react.
Li Younan took a few shots with the basketball, it’s been a long time since he handled a basketball, his skills were indeed a bit rusty, but regaining the feel didn’t take too long.
He jogged to warm up, did a few lay-ups, and gradually regained his body’s control over the basketball.
With his current physical condition, Li Younan is quite satisfied.
The sound of him playing basketball solo quickly attracted the attention of those two black guys on the opposite court, though they merely glanced towards Li Younan a few times and continued their entertaining basketball play.
