In Five Immortals City, there are currently only two people who have unlocked eight restraints.
One is a sect elder, and the other is the current sect leader of Five Immortals City.
Among the younger generation, there is not yet a disciple who has unlocked eight restraints.
Song Xiaodie and Song Xiaobing have been in the sect for many years, and they naturally know these things.
Many people say that it takes around eighty years for a top talent who has unlocked eight restraints to emerge.
Although it’s an unfounded rule, top talents who have unlocked eight restraints are indeed that rare.
The sisters never thought they would one day reach this stage.
"Sister, perhaps we have the chance to return to the family.
We have now unlocked eight restraints. We’re not inferior to them."
Song Xiaobing whispered.
Upon hearing this, Song Xiaodie pulled her into a hug.
"Our main task now is to cultivate well, don’t think too much about other things.
We’ll talk about returning later."
At 7:00 AM, the sisters sat in the yard, watching the sky lighten together.
The sky was bright.
Everything beside them became so clear, and even the pebbles on the road outside the yard seemed visible.
With the unlocking of eight restraints, the path ahead became smoother.
"Sister, did the senior give you any instructions?
Did he tell us what we can or cannot do?"
Upon hearing this, Song Xiaodie shook her head.
During the entire process, the "senior" only said one thing to her.
"Lie down."
Just that one sentence...
Upon hearing this, Song Xiaobing relayed what the senior had said to her sister.
"This time the senior seemed quite tired, he only spoke a few words after finishing with the needles.
He told me that for anything, we could find Senior Brother Shen.
He also asked Senior Brother Shen to communicate any matters to us."
Upon hearing her sister mention Shen Han’s name, her brows unconsciously furrowed.
"Xiaobing, do you feel that the senior and Senior Brother Shen are somewhat alike?"
"Alike?
Are you suggesting, sister, that the senior is actually Senior Brother Shen in disguise?
Do you think that’s possible..."
Song Xiaobing was a bit speechless.
Her reaction made Song Xiaodie feel she might be overthinking.
How could she have such thoughts?
"Let’s first stabilize our physical foundation. The restraints we unlocked need time to be stabilized."
Upon hearing her sister’s words, Song Xiaobing also nodded.
With the further increase in their talents and potential, their passion for cultivation naturally grew.
It’s like many students in schools; the better they are in their studies, the more deeply they immerse themselves.
After increasing their talents, the sisters gained more from their cultivation.
The more they gained, the harder they worked.
In the past, Song Xiaobing needed to be pushed by Song Xiaodie to study. Nowadays, she has become more self-driven.
In between, they ate some simple food to fill their stomachs.
"Sister, should we go find Senior Brother Shen to at least express our gratitude?
After all, these opportunities are thanks to him."
Song Xiaodie smiled.
"Do you think your sister had no sense? I already asked Senior Brother Shen; the elders have matters with him today.
The earliest he can meet us is tomorrow."
Knowing this, the sisters continued to improve through cultivation.
Honestly, suddenly unlocking a few more restraints.
The sisters were quite unaccustomed.
The more restraints unlocked, the benefits brought are not simply incremental.
Where it once took a long time for a slight advancement, now, after just a day of cultivation, they could clearly feel their progress.
The biggest feature of the new system is the fast efficiency of improvement.
But in reality, if your talent is insufficient, the improvement efficiency is only so much.
Whether old method or new method, talent is too important.
Moreover, in this new cultivation system, before reaching the peak of the Grotto Heaven Realm, talent plays an even bigger role.
Before the peak of the Grotto Heaven Realm, there’s essentially no bottleneck.
Just a little perseverance by the cultivator can lead to improvement.
The more restraints unlocked, the easier it is to incorporate Heaven and Earth Creation.
The improvement efficiency naturally becomes faster.
Previously, Song Xiaodie and Song Xiaobing didn’t know how fast this could be.
Today, after unlocking eight restraints, they truly felt it.
A whole day and night.
Another dawn, they finally paused their cultivation.
After communicating with Shen Han at noon, Shen Han finally came.
They planned to visit Shen Han.
But the area where Shen Han lived wasn’t a place they could enter casually.
So they chose to meet at their sisters’ small yard.
Approaching noon, the sisters had already prepared some food.
Aside from Shen Han, others aren’t privileged enough for them to cook personally.
Walking into the courtyard, seeing Shen Han arrive, the sisters hurriedly went forward to greet him.
Seeing smiles on both their faces, Shen Han also smiled.
"It seems that both Senior Sister Songs had quite the gains, that elder did not disappoint you two."
"The elder is a divine person in this world. Xiaobing and I received gifts of opportunity from him, so naturally, the gains were not small.
However, all of this, we must thank Senior Brother Shen. It is because of you that we had the chance to receive this opportunity.
Xiaobing also told me that the elder trusts you greatly.
Senior Brother Shen, being valued by the elder, you are sure to have unmatched prospects in the future."
The two women spoke softly, picking many pleasant words.
They intended to give some gifts to Shen Han but thought it over and realized there wasn’t anything suitable they could offer.
While chatting, the three sat down at the table.
"After the needle treatment ended yesterday, the elder said that if there was anything, he would let Senior Brother Shen inform us.
I wonder if the elder has given any directives?"
Song Xiaobing looked at Shen Han and asked softly.
Upon hearing this, Shen Han immediately nodded.
"Actually, I came today to discuss this matter with both of you.
The elder enhanced your talents not just to help you.
But rest assured, he expects nothing from us juniors.
I am familiar with Elder Sizhi, and the elder has asked me to bridge the gap so that you both can apprentice under Elder Sizhi to improve your cultivation.
The elder wants to see if the enhancements he made yield any differences compared to those born with multiple unlocked restrictions.
Hearing this, Song Xiaodie and Song Xiaobing continued to smile.
They naturally understood that the elder was treating them as test subjects.
But being such a test subject was, in itself, a massive opportunity.
They wouldn’t be foolish to think that the elder was mistreating them.
To have their restrictions unlocked up to the eighth level was akin to rebirth.
Moreover, they were merely considered test subjects.
The requirement was only for them to apprentice under an elder for cultivation.
From this perspective, the elder was not demanding anything from them at all.
Upon hearing what Shen Han had said, the two sisters naturally could not refuse.
"Both Xiaobing and I will follow the elder’s words.
We just ask Senior Brother Shen for help and say some good words to Elder Sizhi so he will take us in."
Shen Han smiled:
"You two are now geniuses with eight restrictions unlocked, there’s no need for me to say good words. Just mentioning it before Elder Sizhi should suffice for this matter.
However, both Senior Sisters need to think about how to conceal the existence of the elder.
Regarding your innate talent and potential, it’s best to say that previous tests were inaccurate."
Shen Han also provided some suggestions for this concealment excuse.
Directly covering up the enhancement of talents is far better than making excuses.
If others learn that the restrictions were unlocked post-natally, they will definitely begin to investigate.
For post-natal unlocking on the Southern Heaven Continent, there are only a few methods.
Each requires extremely precious items.
Furthermore, unlocking the eighth restriction post-natally has never been heard of before.
Just hearing of these matters would drive others mad with curiosity.
Song Xiaodie had planned to fabricate a lie, saying she found a peculiar fruit, leading to these results.
But if she said that, Shen Han felt that the plants surrounding Five Immortals City.
Might very well be uprooted and chewed by others.
After the trio discussed, they also agreed on a narrative.
Regarding Song Xiaodie and Song Xiaobing’s talents, the external explanation remained consistent—that Five Immortals City’s initial testing of disciple talents was inaccurate.
The talents of the two sisters in unlocking the eighth restriction would not lead others to think otherwise.
As Shen Han said, in the Southern Heaven Continent, currently, no one using external forces can unlock the eighth restriction.
With no precedents, no one would think in that direction.
Not mentioning it is the best method of concealment.
After discussing with them, Shen Han left the courtyard and proceeded to Elder Sizhi’s courtyard.
Preparing to have a proper discussion about this matter.
Since he made them lose a Tang Chenyang with seven restrictions unlocked,
Returning them with two disciples with eight restrictions unlocked under Elder Sizhi and Dean Sixin should settle it.
Upon reaching the courtyard, the attendant at the door immediately announced his arrival.
Knowing it was Shen Han, Elder Sizhi promptly had the attendant lead Shen Han into the courtyard.
"In the future, if you need to find me, just come into the courtyard. There’s no need to have someone announce each time.
Though you’re not directly apprenticed under us, you are still considered a direct disciple under me."
The other day, the Vice Sect Leader removed Shen Han’s title of direct disciple, but Elder Sizhi seemed to protect him somewhat ambiguously.
"Tell me, what’s the matter?
You, child, always enjoy researching on your own, but it’s rare for you to seek me out.
Have you encountered any problems?"
Upon hearing Elder Sizhi’s words, Shen Han showed a slight smile and shook his head.
"I haven’t encountered any problems, but I have come across a good thing.
There are two rather outstanding disciples; Elder Sizhi, you will certainly be satisfied upon meeting them."
Hearing this, Elder Sizhi showed a touch of comfort on his face but didn’t take it too seriously.
"Finding disciples is the task of us elders. You, child, should concentrate on your cultivation.
No need to be distracted by this."
"Elder Sizhi, please go meet them, they will not disappoint you."
Shen Han spoke again.
As they were speaking, the Vice Sect Leader and Dean Sixin coincidentally entered together.
Seeing Shen Han there, the Vice Sect Leader’s brow unconsciously furrowed.
