In the following days, Shen Han recounted what he saw and heard at the 22nd layer of the Forbidden Land.
He shared his thoughts and insights upon advancing to the True Immortal Realm with Yu You and Yu Chou.
Their conversation lasted for three days or so.
Shen Han also learned a lot from the two seniors.
Especially the method to take another step forward from the True Immortal Realm.
Beyond the True Immortal Realm is the Profound Immortal Realm.
In Great Wei, it is equivalent to the Second Grade of the Immortal Realm.
The method to reach the Second Grade is very important for Shen Han.
After all, there is someone like Luo Changping in Great Wei.
The same Second Grade Immortal Realm expert, yet Luo Changping could easily suppress Dean Tianyi.
It’s clear that her Second Grade Immortal Realm is not an ordinary Second Grade.
Shen Han’s current strength is not enough to challenge her.
The three sat in the room, with Senior Yu You patiently explaining, occasionally discussing with Yu Chou.
Shen Han listened attentively, taking notes.
The Second Grade of the Immortal Realm, or what Senior Yu You called the Profound Immortal Realm.
The transformation of the body when entering the True Immortal Realm, and the evolution of the mind.
It is a step for a practitioner to transform into an Immortal.
And moving from the True Immortal Realm to the Profound Immortal Realm is the sublimation of "intent".
A true immortal in the world needs to elevate their "intent" to the extreme, paving a "path" from the "intent".
Beyond the Profound Immortal Realm, superiority is essentially a competition of "paths".
If one’s path is directly suppressed by another opponent,
then the outcome of this confrontation becomes quite apparent.
Understanding one’s own path is the key to moving from Third Grade to Second Grade.
During the discussion, Senior Yu You also shared his thoughts during his advancement.
Elevating Sword Intent to Sword Dao, understanding his own Sword Dao.
Senior Yu You’s Sword Dao is the Breath of Obsession.
The sword in hand, seeking no limit, practiced to the extreme.
Every move and technique is at its peak.
Senior Yu You’s strength places him among the top in the Profound Immortal Realm, which perhaps relates to his pursuit of the extreme.
However, this time, Shen Han no longer follows blindly.
The experiences of the seniors can serve as a reference,
but they should not be rigidly interpreted.
For instance, if Shen Han were to interpret rigidly this time,
he would not be able to enter the Immortal Realm.
After the exchange, Shen Han embarked on his journey back to Great Wei.
He politely declined the protection of Seniors Yu Chou and Yu You and set out alone.
Now, he already has the strength of the Immortal Realm.
Encountering a strong one like Huo Yuan, although he cannot defeat him,
if determined to escape, Shen Han would not be unable to escape.
At night, at midnight.
Shen Han was cautious enough.
The people of the Immortal Bow Mansion excel at assassination.
Even with the ability to protect himself, being cautious is no harm.
Under the cover of night, Shen Han flew into the distance.
Heading first to the Northern Mountain Domain, returning to Great Wei via the same route.
Now possessing the strength of the Immortal Realm, coupled with the aid of "Unceasing Skill," his resistance to those poisons should be stronger.
After leaving the Divine Land area, Shen Han then called out the huge magical artifact gifted by Yu Chou.
Traveling with such a magical artifact is much easier.
The Northern Mountain Domain is still some distance away, and even with the magical artifact, it should take a day or two.
As the year-end approaches, along the way, occasionally the sounds of firecrackers can be heard.
Passing through towns, the decorations and festive atmosphere are evident.
The Northern Mountain Domain was Shen Han’s first stop from Great Wei.
He has no particular feelings for the place.
The rulers there are self-serving without apparent concern for moral standards.
In the realm of sects in the Northern Mountain Domain, without sufficient power, rules mean nothing.
He originally planned to pass through, but hesitated for a moment, considering a sidestep to visit Jiuxiao Country.
He wondered how Princess Yan Yun was faring these days.
Shen Han had given Yan Yun a Sound Transmission Magical Artifact before he left.
So she could contact him if she encountered any trouble.
It’s been over a year since he went to the Divine Land, and Princess Yan Yun has never sought him out.
Probably she’s doing fine.
In his thoughts, Shen Han already leaped over the mountain.
The northern side of this vast mountain range belongs to the Northern Mountain Domain.
Continuing forward, he soon saw the Imperial Palace of Jiuxiao Country.
The palace seemed to have been renovated, though the overall shape remained unchanged.
It nevertheless appeared much newer.
Shen Han descended from the magical artifact and walked into the city of Jiuxiao Country.
Jiuxiao Country has only this one city, and it wasn’t Shen Han’s first visit; he already knew.
He walked through the busiest street of the city; this street was never too lively before.
Though not this deserted either.
Having been absent for over a year, Shen Han didn’t expect such changes.
In groups of three or two, occasionally a few vendors selling food could be seen.
Were it not for these vendors, Shen Han might have thought the market had moved.
Approaching the Imperial Palace, there were still guards at the entrance.
"Stop, this is a royal area, unauthorized entry is prohibited."
"Please make a report; I’m an old acquaintance of Country Lord Yan, thanks for your trouble."
Only an Immortal Realm expert like Shen Han would speak so amiably with them.
Hearing this, the two stationed guards couldn’t help but laugh.
"Who are you looking for, again?"
"Yan Yun, the Sovereign of Jiuxiao Country, Yan Yun."
Shen Han replied calmly, the reaction of the two seemed to indicate some changes had occurred.
"You better leave quickly, if the people inside hear you, you’ll be in big trouble.
If you leave now, we’ll pretend we heard nothing."
Upon hearing this, Shen Han couldn’t help but frown.
"What do you mean, has Jiuxiao Country undergone some major upheaval?"
"Why don’t you appreciate our hints and still ask around here?
The Imperial Palace now is under the Hu family, the Yan family was driven out long ago.
Go, go, if you encounter someone more ruthless, you’ll be in trouble."
Hearing this, Shen Han didn’t argue with them further.
He took a few steps and arrived at a stall.
He was selling some kind of soup and rice.
Shen Han ordered a portion and casually asked questions.
In the guise of a passerby, he inquired why things were different than before.
Through the conversation, Shen Han learned that the Royal Family of the Yan family had been expelled from this Imperial City.
It’s been almost a year.
However, Shen Han learned that on the northwest side of Jiuxiao Country,
the remaining forces of the Yan family had occupied that city as their stronghold.
Upon receiving this information, Shen Han didn’t linger and flew towards the northwestern city.
In places like this, such occurrences are indeed quite normal.
The sects’ power in the Northern Mountain Domain frequently change rulers.
Riding a magical artifact, after more than four two-hour periods, he finally arrived at the city.
There were quite a few stationed troops outside the city, patrolling back and forth.
Although there were many people from the army, there were also many ordinary civilians along the way.
The city’s scale was evidently small, but the trade was quite prosperous.
If Yan Yun was in charge, she must have squeezed everything she talked about into it.
Shen Han didn’t enter through the city gate, avoiding some trouble by sneaking in.
After entering the city, it was indeed much more prosperous inside.
Shen Han walked forward, finding the City Lord Mansion in the west part of the city.
The Imperial Palace of Jiuxiao Country was quite disappointing, not magnificent at all.
And the City Lord Mansion was even more plain.
Walking towards the City Lord Mansion, he requested someone to announce his visit, only mentioning his surname was Shen.
In the City Lord Mansion’s pavilion, Yan Yun was still busy handling miscellaneous tasks.
"City Lord, someone requests an audience outside."
"I’m not seeing anyone today, have them stay and meet tomorrow."
This was a suggestion Shen Han gave her before, if overwhelmed with tasks, postpone the meeting once.
If it was truly important and urgent, they would ask for an audience again.
Yan Yun now conducted affairs based on Shen Han’s former guidance.
The city’s rise from ruins to prosperity was naturally due to her management.
Hearing Yan Yun’s orders, the person nodded.
Before leaving, he added: "The person seemed strange, not dressed like someone from the Northern Mountain Domain.
He said his surname is Shen, an old acquaintance of the City Lord."
Hearing the word "Shen," Yan Yun suddenly raised her head.
"Where is he? Is he in front of the mansion?"
As she asked, she was already standing up, ready to head downstairs.
Before getting a response, she was already down the stairs.
Before reaching the door, she saw Shen Han.
Her brisk steps suddenly slowed down.
Her mind churned, trying hard to think of what to say to Shen Han first.
Behind her, Yan Yun’s attendants were also filled with surprise.
They had never seen Yan Yun like this.
Before, she was always composed and strategic.
"Afraid to come over, realizing what you did was too poor?"
Shen Han had long seen Yan Yun.
The ten-step distance was walked slowly.
Hearing Shen Han’s remark, Yan Yun walked a bit faster.
"Didn’t learn the Military Array Technique yet?"
Without thinking about what to say, Shen Han already asked.
"I did learn it...
For ordinary sects, I am confident I can hold them off.
But..."
Shen Han had a hunch: "But they have help?"
"After you took out the Lion King Sect’s powerful sect masters, those sects fell into chaos.
But about a year ago, outsiders came.
They united these sects and sent many people to deal with us Jiuxiao...
The people from the Outer Domain mostly have Spiritual Harmony Realm Peak strength."
Saying this, Yan Yun wanted to take Shen Han to see her army.
"Our Jiuxiao’s army, following your teachings, has improved tremendously.
We can now match their Spiritual Harmony Realm Peak experts.
However, they have too many powerful individuals.
Helplessly, we could only retreat to this small city.
Regroup our forces and withstand with military arrays to hold out till now..."
Shen Han frowned: "Didn’t you have the Sound Transmission Jade? Why didn’t you inform me?"
"Because I found out they were trying to lure you in, setting a trap for you..."
