At dinnertime, Shen Han accepted the invitation from the two sisters.
Together in Five Immortals City, they tasted the exquisite banquet dishes.
When it comes to food, Shen Han is not picky at all.
Be it simple or lavish, he could accept it all.
During the meal, Song Xiaodie spoke less and stopped speaking nonsense.
Whatever needed to be said, she let her younger sister do the talking.
She realized that in front of some people, someone like her was not very likable.
Her younger sister, Song Xiaobing, was more easily accepted by others.
And, she no longer worried about her sister being deceived by Shen Han.
Shen Han’s acquaintance with such a senior, even if not practicing cultivation—
With that connection, marrying an Inner Sect Disciple wouldn’t be a problem.
Not until the end of the banquet did Song Xiaodie speak up again.
"Junior Brother Shen, if you run into any trouble that you can’t solve, just come to me.
The senior is busy with affairs; for minor issues, don’t bother him."
Shen Han nodded, accepting Song Xiaodie’s goodwill.
After dinner, he politely declined the two’s offer to see him off.
Shen Han returned to the bamboo building alone.
Just now, Song Xiaobing’s condition was very clear.
His acupuncture was quite a success; Song Xiaobing had relieved one constraint, and her body showed no issues.
His judgment about the constraint was not wrong.
Using the Nine Needle Technique, several constraints could be easily undone.
Perhaps, he could experiment a bit more with Song Xiaobing.
Thinking of this, Shen Han planned to discuss it with her the next day.
Upon returning to the bamboo building, he happened to encounter Xing Yonghai discussing matters.
Seeing Shen Han returning at this hour, his expression turned cold.
"Why do I feel that you are getting more and more arrogant now?
Do you think that with Senior Sister Wen Ranran around, I, Xing Yonghai, won’t dare to touch you?
I advise you not to overestimate yourself.
Frankly, Senior Sister Wen Ranran just sees you as a dog to amuse Senior Brother Qianmu Fan.
Now that you’re so arrogant, have you thought about what will become of you after Senior Brother Qianmu Fan’s birthday?"
Xing Yonghai’s face bore a mocking smile.
To be honest, he really didn’t dare to lay hands on Shen Han now.
After all, Qianmu Fan’s birthday was approaching.
If Shen Han encountered a problem, making those direct disciples unhappy on that day,
then the benefits Xing Yonghai longed for might be lost.
Though he couldn’t lay hands on him, verbal threats were inevitable.
Xing Yonghai had always been accustomed to being arrogant in front of the servant disciples.
Faced with Shen Han’s demeanor, he couldn’t tolerate not saying a few threatening words.
But Shen Han seemed as if he hadn’t heard him at all.
Saying whatever he pleased.
Be it threats or intimidation.
Shen Han simply walked past him, not even sparing a glance at Xing Yonghai.
He directly returned to the bamboo building, to the room he was staying in.
Seeing Shen Han’s back, anger filled Xing Yonghai’s heart entirely.
It overflowed, showing all over his face.
Never had a servant disciple dared to be so arrogant and wanton in front of him.
"Senior Brother Xing, this Shen Han really is too arrogant.
Should we find a way to teach him a lesson?"
With those words, the surrounding servant disciples sought to curry favor with Xing Yonghai.
Upon hearing this, Xing Yonghai merely snorted coldly.
"To teach him a lesson, I don’t need you to think of a way.
I have many methods to torment him.
If it weren’t for Senior Sister Wen’s side, where he still has some value,
How could he still have the qualifications to be arrogant..."
Xing Yonghai’s face was sullen, though unhappy in heart, he chose to suppress his anger.
To vent his anger, it’s not urgent within a day or two.
"Let him be carefree for a few more days, as long as he listens on important matters, I’ll tolerate him a bit more."
Xing Yonghai felt his temper seemed to have improved a lot.
Before, he could never tolerate a servant disciple being so audacious in front of him.
Never mind acting this way, even the wrong tone would be punished.
Five Immortals City’s rules prohibit fighting amongst peers.
But for dealing with these servant disciples, Xing Yonghai had plenty of methods.
Of course, the main reason was his anticipation for the reward that Senior Sister Wen might give.
A night passed.
When Shen Han had time, he still went to the Book Collection Pavilion to read.
The conversation with Song Xiaobing yesterday served as a follow-up to his acupuncture results.
From what he saw, the Nine Needle Technique was indeed effective in unbinding constraints.
But Shen Han wanted to see if there were any side effects from yesterday’s acupuncture.
Also, if another constraint was released for Song Xiaobing, would there be any issue?
Would there be any limits to unbinding constraints by external force?
With these thoughts, Shen Han, after reading the classics,
On leaving, he informed Song Xiaobing, asking her to come back the next day, that the senior wanted to see her; it was likely another great opportunity.
Upon hearing this, the excitement on Song Xiaobing’s face could not be contained.
But at least she knew she needed to keep it confidential and did not make it too public.
After the excitement, a slightly calmer Song Xiaobing could not help but ask one more question.
"Junior Brother Shen, can this opportunity be given to my elder sister..."
Hearing this, Shen Han immediately shook his head.
"No, not even for your elder sister, nor could I go."
"If someone else goes, they wouldn’t even get to see the elder, so don’t get any funny ideas."
After Shen Han finished speaking, Song Xiaobing also nodded solemnly.
Upon receiving this news from Shen Han, Song Xiaobing immediately applied for leave.
She communicated with her sister, asking her to return to the courtyard immediately.
Song Xiaodie knew that her younger sister would not disturb her cultivation lightly.
If she was asked to return now, it must be something urgent.
Considering past occurrences, it was likely related to that elder.
Thinking of this, the two sisters ran back to their courtyard.
From Song Xiaobing, she heard that the elder wanted to see her again and might even grant her another opportunity.
The sisters were both a bit excited.
Deep in Song Xiaodie’s heart, there was a sliver of anticipation.
But Song Xiaobing soon poured a cold bucket of water on her hopes.
The elder would not see outsiders, only her.
Song Xiaobing mentioned that she had asked Shen Han if the opportunity could be given to her sister instead.
The answer was a resounding no.
Thus, Song Xiaodie naturally did not insist.
If her younger sister could gain another opportunity, she would be content.
That night, the sisters were both somewhat excited.
Especially Song Xiaobing, who couldn’t sleep, constantly thinking.
At 7:00 AM, she quickly went to the predetermined location.
She arrived much earlier, wanting to show her respect.
And the "elder" only arrived at the agreed time.
Seeing Song Xiaobing, Shen Han, who had changed his attire, also altered his voice to a hoarse tone.
This time, Song Xiaobing was extremely cooperative.
Shen Han diagnosed her pulse, confirming that the constraints he previously removed showed no issues.
In fact, it was better than the three natural constraints she had unlocked.
The natural constraints, due to irregular bottlenecks, hindered the channeling of Heaven and Earth Creation.
Unlocking this bottleneck didn’t seem to bring any side effects.
At least from the pulse diagnosis, it appeared so.
"Don’t move, let me try to unlock a few more constraints for you.
But don’t get your hopes up too much because different physiques yield different results."
Shen Han spoke in a hoarse voice.
Unlocking the fourth constraint was easy; whether the fifth would be much harder was uncertain.
Hearing this from Shen Han, Song Xiaobing nodded repeatedly, wanting to say something.
But looking at Shen Han’s mask, she was too nervous to speak.
It felt as if no matter what she said, it would be wrong.
The fifth constraint was in the bone.
With the needle piercing the bone, the constraint within was unlocked.
Calming her mind, as Shen Han administered the needle, it didn’t seem challenging.
Unlocking a constraint was just about opening a bottleneck in the body.
The Nine Needle Technique easily achieved this effect.
Of course, the difficulty lay in the fact that not everyone could master the Nine Needle Technique.
Back in the Little Pool Immortal’s Secret Realm
Shi Yuezhu and Su Jinyu both had a chance to learn, but ultimately, only Shen Han mastered it.
When the needle pierced the bone this time, Song Xiaobing felt a sharp pain.
But she gritted her teeth, not uttering a sound.
Her eyes focused on the leaves above, entrusting her body entirely to Shen Han.
This fifth constraint seemed simple for Shen Han to unlock.
Perhaps in less than a quarter of an hour, Shen Han had finished needling.
He then checked her pulse again, finding nothing unusual.
Thinking of this, Shen Han took out another sharp needle.
The sixth needle was for harmonizing energy.
It unlocked the constraints in the body’s energy knots.
Unlocking this constraint would lead to a qualitative leap.
Cultivators of the new system who unlocked six constraints would show significantly stronger power.
This step of unlocking internal energy knots would drastically enhance one’s ability to channel the Power of Heaven and Earth.
This is why the Direct Disciples in Five Immortals City have all unlocked six or more constraints.
The sharp needle pierced, requiring high skill from the practitioner.
The human body blends yin and yang energy.
Rashly opening the body’s bottlenecks could disrupt yin and yang, potentially causing grave issues for the cultivator’s body.
This needle was applied by Shen Han to her back.
At the gathering point of yin and yang energy, he applied this needle.
Without overthinking, Shen Han turned her over and lifted Song Xiaobing’s garment.
Revealing her fair waist...
"Don’t shiver."
Shen Han softly said.
The Song Xiaobing before him seemed too nervous, her body trembling incessantly.
"Elder, I..."
She was indeed a bit unaccustomed, especially with her clothes lifted like this...
"Then finish trembling first,"
Saying that, Shen Han sat to the side, watching Song Xiaobing.
After a while, she did seem less nervous.
Anxiety turned more into embarrassment.
Seeing Song Xiaobing stop trembling, Shen Han approached again.
Pressing down on her spine, he accurately inserted the sharp needle.
Unlocking the sixth constraint indeed posed more difficulty.
Earlier challenges could be overcome with mere proficiency in the Nine Needle Technique.
But this sixth constraint truly tested the practitioner’s needlework skill.
