Yao Xueru’s words seemed to make Yao Zhonggu realize something.
His mind began to contemplate, to reflect on certain matters.
What his grandfather said had some truth to it.
If Celestial Sword Sect and Qianyang Palace’s strength were just average, why would they occupy so many resources?
Moreover, I’ve never heard anyone say these sects shouldn’t occupy those resources.
For instance, the location of Celestial Sword Sect is immensely resource-rich, yet no one tries to seize it.
It seems everything should be this way, that they should occupy it.
On the contrary, here at Snow Mountain House, it’s clearly its own Forbidden Land.
But the sects of Divine Land demand that Snow Mountain House must share it.
Thinking of this, Yao Zhonggu seemed to suddenly understand, as if this was the underlying truth...
If Snow Mountain House truly had strength, other sects wouldn’t dare to make a peep.
The strength of a sect has always been quite directly displayed.
...
The next day, Shen Han and the others finally learned what this so-called benefit was.
The Forbidden Land of Snow Mountain House actually consists of many layers.
Each layer is different, the deeper one goes, naturally the benefits are greater.
Previously, those who came to participate in trials at the Forbidden Land only had one chance to choose.
If they chose too deep a layer, they might not last long before being forced out.
The duration for trials in the Forbidden Land is a total of two months.
In the past, there were people who chose layers that were too deep, and within less than a two-hour period, they came scurrying out.
They completely wasted their opportunity for trials.
As an apology, the benefit Snow Mountain House offered this time was allowing Shen Han and the others to freely try different layers.
After choosing a suitable layer for themselves, they could then undertake in-depth trials and cultivation.
This benefit was indeed sincere.
Every time the entrance to the Forbidden Land is opened, Snow Mountain House has to expend resources; it’s not something that can be opened casually.
From this perspective, it truly is a benefit.
The day before the Forbidden Land opening, Shen Han, along with others, visited the Forbidden Land of Snow Mountain House.
A passageway led downwards, with many entrances along the way.
Walking deeper into the passage, the connecting entrances inside become increasingly challenging.
The deeper the Forbidden Land, the greater the benefits it can naturally provide.
But this all depends on choosing the right layer.
Otherwise, unable to endure, one would be forced out within a few hours.
In such a case, the benefits wouldn’t be as good as a lower-layered Forbidden Land.
Along the way, they even encountered Yao Wanning.
Shen Han and the others politely greeted her but had no intention of chatting further.
She feigned indifference, seeming as if she was about to speak, but didn’t know what to say.
None of Shen Han’s group wanted to talk much with her.
After greeting, everyone left.
Everything that needed preparation was already prepared.
The five of them, all had some anticipation for the Forbidden Land journey starting the next day.
Yu You, leading the group, reiterated once again.
Similar to what he had said to Shen Han before, urging everyone to keep a calm mindset.
The trials in the Forbidden Land of Snow Mountain House indeed helped many transition from the Loose Immortal Realm to the True Immortal Realm.
But the main reason for such attainment is because these individuals already possessed exceptional talent.
If these people practiced outside for another decade, they would inevitably reach True Immortal.
The Forbidden Land of Snow Mountain House merely provided a boost.
Hearing the advice, they nodded seriously.
Yet, the hope in their hearts was hard to suppress.
After all, the trials in the Forbidden Land of Snow Mountain House have always been renowned.
Like Fu Tianqi and Su Jinyu, who are now quite valued disciples in Celestial Sword Sect.
Fu Tianqi, especially, is a standout among the direct disciples of Celestial Sword Sect of his generation.
Fu Tianqi is confident he will become a True Immortal in the future.
But achieving this in ten years versus this year makes a whole world of difference.
Ten years later, he would be around forty years old.
While achieving True Immortal at that age is still extraordinary, it’s not as astonishing.
In his heart, he still hopes to become a True Immortal this year.
At the very least, let him touch the threshold of True Immortal.
That night, none, including Shen Han, got much rest.
Their minds were all consumed with thoughts of this Forbidden Land trial.
Snow Mountain House allowing them to try each layer’s suitability slightly eased their anxiety.
But their hearts were still setting goals for themselves.
At the least, they must excel beyond most people.
At 7:00 AM, Snow Mountain House’s servants had already laid out food in the courtyard.
Initially, there was some unpleasantness.
But now, Snow Mountain House seemed much improved in their hospitality.
At least, the servants at Snow Mountain House no longer dared to show face to the guests like before.
They tasted the food, which was indeed pretty good, but neither Shen Han nor the others had much appetite.
In their hearts, they were still thinking about the upcoming trial in the Forbidden Land.
After breakfast, the people from Snow Mountain House were already waiting outside the courtyard.
Senior Yuyou was also going along to prevent the people from Snow Mountain House from using any tricks.
Having witnessed it yesterday, and after pondering for so long last night,
the scenery before their eyes was no longer unfamiliar.
Seeing Shen Han and his group arrive, Yao Xueru, who had been waiting there, immediately stepped forward with a smile to greet them.
Behind him followed three young people.
It was at this moment that Shen Han realized that, besides their group of five, the people from Snow Mountain House would also enter for training.
Snow Mountain House guarded their Forbidden Land, yet they had to enter it together with Shen Han’s group.
It seems that opening this Forbidden Land is not done casually; otherwise, there would be no need to assemble here.
"Everyone, I promised you all yesterday that for this trial in the Forbidden Land, you are allowed to choose the level you wish to enter.
Today, I will naturally fulfill that promise. Feel free to select the levels, choose the most suitable one, and then proceed deeper for training.
There is no limit to the number of times; if you wish to try all twenty-two levels of the Forbidden Land, that is also fine."
Yao Xueru wore a kind smile on his face, and his words sounded quite pleasant.
"If any of you young friends have questions, you can ask me now.
This way, you can avoid confusion after entering the Forbidden Land."
Upon hearing this, Fu Tianqi was the first to speak.
"Senior, may I ask, when other sects came before, what level did those geniuses usually reach?"
Hearing this, Yao Xueru shook his head slightly: "The geniuses from other sects didn’t have the opportunity to choose the level. They usually just stumbled into it.
The levels they chose, I believe, can’t provide you with much reference.
However, you can refer to our Snow Mountain House disciples; the three children behind me, at the very least, entered the thirteenth layer for training."
Upon hearing about the thirteenth layer, Fu Tianqi said no more.
He just needed a basic point of reference so that when attempting it later, he wouldn’t waste too much time.
Shen Han and the others also discussed briefly, preparing to start from the thirteenth layer.
If they couldn’t endure it, then they would proceed to the twelfth layer.
If it felt too easy, they could move up a layer.
By 9:00, they were almost ready. Their minds, long set on the Forbidden Land, were finally about to enter it.
Yao Xueru walked to the entrance of the Forbidden Land and poured something inside, causing the entire Forbidden Land to shake slightly.
Once it calmed again, everyone followed Yao Xueru inside.
The passage was large, not only accommodating Shen Han’s group but also several people from Snow Mountain House.
These people seemed to be there to observe and absorb experience.
Additionally, there were those who appeared to be the elders preparing for the disciples’ trials at Snow Mountain House.
The Snow Mountain House itself was a sect composed of several families, so it was usual for the family elders to come and observe.
As they walked through the passage, the first entrance was to the first level of the Forbidden Land.
"There’s no need for you all to attempt the first level; training there is virtually the same as outside.
Don’t waste your time there," Yao Xueru explained with a smile.
They continued deeper into the passage.
When disciples from other sects came for training, Snow Mountain House would only tell them that the deeper the level, the greater the difficulty.
But the benefits gained would be greater.
Beyond that, the choice was theirs to make.
Today, Yao Xueru had a lot more to say, providing continuous explanations to the group.
After walking a stretch, the group arrived at the entrance to the thirteenth layer.
Though the passage was wide, the entrance was relatively narrow, making it seem difficult for people to pass through.
These small entrances were too narrow for even a child to squeeze through.
"Everyone, this is the entrance to the thirteenth layer.
Planning to start your journey from here in the Forbidden Land is indeed a good idea.
I’ll now open the entrance for you all," Yao Xueru said as he infused more resources into it.
It seemed to be some sort of mineral, though Shen Han was not familiar with it.
After these resources were contributed, the narrow entrance expanded.
The entrance suddenly became taller than a person.
"Young friends, once inside the Forbidden Land, be sure to pay attention.
Take these Magical Artifacts with you, so if anything happens, we can use them to locate you.
Of course, let me emphasize something.
If you’re feeling extremely uncomfortable, you must come out quickly; don’t force yourselves.
Although we can locate you with the Magical Artifacts,
everyone ends up in different locations once inside.
Even if we search with all our might, it will take time to find you.
During that time, we can’t guarantee safety from the dangers.
So if you can’t endure, you must quickly come out.
Choose the level that’s most suitable for you to gain the greatest benefit."
Having said that, Yao Xueru distributed the Magical Artifacts to everyone.
Shen Han and the others exchanged looks of encouragement after receiving the artifacts.
Without further hesitation, they stepped into the thirteenth layer of the Forbidden Land.
As Shen Han walked in, initially feeling like he was on solid ground, the next moment he suddenly found himself falling from the sky.
