With Kurumi’s explanation, Fang Zheng also gained a clear understanding of the chaotic situation at the Third Coordinate Point.
In terms of power, this Esdeath is slightly weaker than Reinhard, but there is a small issue.
Firstly, this Esdeath is a battle maniac, and fights with complete recklessness. However, Reinhard does not dare to truly take her life because she is a general of the Northern Empire, and she was invited by the nobility and the Sage Association of the Kingdom of Lugnica to "quell the rebellion." Legally speaking, this is akin to Fang Zheng representing the Heavenly Dao Palace to provide technical guidance against the Rebel Army upon the invitation of the Galactic Empire, which is an act without political issues.
If Reinhard were to kill Esdeath, then the Northern Empire would immediately use this as an excuse to send their army in to annex Lugnica. No matter how powerful Reinhard is, he’s only one person and cannot withstand the whole Northern Empire, which is why Reinhard finds himself rather restrained when dealing with Esdeath.
Especially given Esdeath’s stance of mutual destruction, Reinhard simply can’t hold back, which is why both sides have reached a stalemate.
Moreover, the chaos in this world has somehow involved Academy City’s world.
The reason is quite simple.
After Felt established the revolution base, she hoped to find people to help reinforce its resources, and at this time, Meiyin came out to help. Although she returned to her world and parents with Fang Zheng’s assistance, Meiyin was still concerned about this world.
Additionally, as one of the three little ones interested in Marxist philosophy, Meiyin quickly joined Felt’s "revolutionary team" upon learning of her situation, thereby pulling in a series of issues.
When Felt and others were attacked by Lugnica’s nobility with an obvious sign of defeat, Meiyin quickly thought of returning to her world for help — she soon contacted Saten Reiko.
Thus, things began to spiral out of control.
Girls educated in modern society clearly leaned towards the world of equality that Felt hoped for, rather than the grave gap in social hierarchy under the nobility system. So after Saten Reiko learned of the situation, she promptly brought Lei along for support; moreover, she also informed Alisa.
Essentially, this meant transmigrators from the Wasteland World and Academy City all went to the first world at the Third Coordinate Point to stir things up.
In response, Kurumi’s clone stationed at the Third Coordinate Point naturally compiled and sorted a report to notify the original, which is why the original came to find Fang Zheng.
"Hmm... how should I put it... it’s not unexpected after all..."
Upon hearing Kurumi’s report, Fang Zheng was initially somewhat surprised, but upon careful thought, he regained his composure. When he handed the Little Red Book to Felt, he anticipated this day would come; he just didn’t think Felt would involve people from two other worlds.
"What was Amelia’s reaction? And what are the situations of the other Royal Selection candidates now?"
"Miss Amelia currently stands by Miss Felt’s side. Miss Crusch is attempting to bring both parties to the negotiating table as a third party, but there hasn’t been much progress. Miss Antanasia from Kalaraki Trading Company is supplying goods to both the nobility and the revolutionary army... Mainly for profit. As for Miss Priscilla, she seems to be staying in her territory, indifferent to the current situation."
"Amelia’s goal is to eliminate discrimination against Half-Blood Species, right, Crusch... she’s also unfortunate to encounter such a situation."
Fang Zheng could guess how things turned out this way. Although Crusch wanted to reform the country, her reforms were gradual. However, Felt clearly intended to overturn the table and force everyone out, and Crusch could certainly imagine the destruction this would cause to Lugnica.
Unfortunately for her, Felt has Reinhard as one of the top powers at the Third Coordinate Point, and Crusch clearly can’t resort to forcing Felt.
"So, what now? Is Felt seeking support from me?"
"No, only ’I’ confirmed this matter might affect the Third Coordinate Point, thus gathering information to report."
"Hmm, judging by this, that little girl is indeed growing up."
Upon hearing this, Fang Zheng nodded with satisfaction. Clearly, Felt understood that using Fang Zheng’s power could easily achieve victory, but doing so would make Lugnica practically Fang Zheng’s subordinate. Furthermore, if the resistance didn’t come from the people themselves but rather from external main support, the goal couldn’t be achieved.
Originally, Fang Zheng hadn’t planned to dispatch an army for support, and finding out Felt didn’t have this intention was naturally better.
"So now the key issue is actually the Northern Empire, isn’t it?"
After reviewing all the information, Fang Zheng quickly discerned the core problem and stalemate in this war — the Northern Empire.
After all, the Northern Empire was invited to send troops by the Sage Association and the ruling nobility of Lugnica; it can be said that as long as the Northern Empire is present, the nobility power in Lugnica remains rock solid. Moreover, Felt currently cannot casually strike against the Northern Empire. If she gives the Northern Empire an excuse, then Lugnica’s destruction is only a matter of time.
Otherwise, she could simply let Reinhard kill that Esdeath, then directly march into King’s City to easily gain control over Lugnica in the shortest time.
But after that, Felt would have to face the full-scale attack from the Northern Empire.
No matter how powerful Reinhard is, he’s still just one person; facing the Northern Empire’s national strength, even as the favored son, he’d be futile. Those soldiers might not be able to kill him, but they could effortlessly turn all of Lugnica into a sea of flames.
Lugnica is, after all, a small country; compared to the Northern Empire, it’s akin to the gap between Ukraine and Russia. Without Divine Dragon’s protection, Lugnica would have long been done for. But from the current perspective, Felt is clearly not pinning hopes on that possibly nonexistent Divine Dragon possibly coming out to help.
And this is indeed the right choice.
Right now, the actions of Lugnica’s nobility resemble Wu Sangui opening the gates to welcome the Qing soldiers to deal with Li Zicheng... Well, the outcome is predictable. Of course, Fang Zheng surmises that those nobles are also aware, but they likely don’t care. After all, if Felt succeeds, they’d all be finished. Conversely, if they win, regardless of the Northern Empire’s intentions, Lugnica is still a nation supposedly protected by the Divine Dragon...
There are always solutions.
Currently, the issue lies with the Northern Empire rather than within Lugnica itself. As long as the Northern Empire’s threat persists, Felt and her group’s ideas cannot succeed.
"So this time we’re going to employ a "surround Wei to rescue Zhao" strategy? Hmm... to be honest, my feelings are a bit complicated."
Fang Zheng summoned the "Ratziel", searched for information about the Northern Empire, and felt somewhat conflicted. Through the "Ratziel", Fang Zheng had already discovered that this was quite a corrupt empire, the Emperor was an immature brat, the nobility lived lives of extreme luxury, while the common folk considered mere survival a luxury.
It had truly reached the point where "behind the vermilion gates the meat and wine go sour while on the road lie the bones of the frozen dead".
The Northern Empire, of course, had rebel armies, but they were not a threat because General Esdeath in the Northern Empire was akin to Reinhard, a "sea-stabilizing needle", and the strongest figure in the Empire. However, General Esdeath’s reputation wasn’t as good as Reinhard’s. If Reinhard was the embodiment of a knight, then terms like "massacre" and "ironblood" often appeared in connection with Esdeath, which were not particularly good things.
"Helping the rebel army to combat the imperial regime just feels weird."
Looking at the information in front of him, Fang Zheng’s expression was somewhat subtle. It should be noted that before this, he had been the supreme Emperor wielding kingship for hundreds of years, and the number of rebels and rebellious soldiers that died at his hands was in the billions. Yet now, he might very well stand on the side of the rebel army to confront kingship... Well, though this rebel army wasn’t any good, to begin with.
It’s a bit troublesome, so maybe transform into the Wings of Death and destroy that nation altogether. Later, just blame it all on the Wings of Death, and that’s that.
Like, what does finding trouble with Wings of Death have to do with me, the Time Dragon, right?
"Mr. Fang Zheng, are you planning to go back?"
"I certainly can’t leave the frontline."
In response to Kurumi’s inquiry, Fang Zheng shook his head. He had painstakingly grasped techniques to counter Chaos and was waiting to show off next time the Chaos Waves struck, how could he leave now?
"Besides, I’ve got my own methods."
While speaking, Fang Zheng summoned the Dimensional Codex, and as he waved his hand, a series of pages appeared before him.
"Even though I’m on high alert against chaos, having something to do like playing games is still a bit interesting."
Looking at the records on the pages, Fang Zheng muttered to himself. He hadn’t passed these thousand years in vain, to put it simply... Now, Fang Zheng had mastered the multi-playing technique, allowing him to simultaneously open several game characters to strategize. This means Fang Zheng could inject a portion of his divine sense into a soulstone and then control an avatar to act from afar.
However, the one in control remained him personally.
Just looking at Kurumi now, Fang Zheng knew how unreliable the idle hosting behavior was; he wouldn’t resort to that even if it killed him.
Although hosting seemed very convenient, looking at the powerful avatar flaunting authority at the Third Coordinate Point and the original body that clenched his teeth in anger whenever this matter was discussed... Fang Zheng found this to be a very profound lesson.
So he preferred to control it himself.
Next comes the moment to choose a soulstone.
Arthas--- Always has a feeling of being farmed as a boss.
Kerrigan--- Fang Zheng mentioned that dealing with a single red ponytail was burdensome enough.
Malthael--- Doesn’t seem suitable for appearing in this kind of scene either.
Diablo--- For the same reason as Arthas, after all, Fang Zheng knew that world had Lina Inverse, and he didn’t want to be farmed like a boss by Lina Inverse to farm equipment.
Ritual Snake--- This simply cannot be used outside.
Considering the Golden Demon King watching at the Third Coordinate Point, Fang Zheng didn’t plan to use those oversized entities to provoke an opponent.
Moreover, a mere Northern Empire isn’t worth unleashing Malthael or Diablo.
After all, these are ruthless figures aiming to destroy worlds.
Better to use something not so mighty.
Fang Zheng’s eyes continued downward, his luck really wasn’t that good. To put it strictly, the usable soulstones Fang Zheng acquired earlier were a minority, and most were too weak and thus thrown in storage to gather dust. But this time, if only against merely an empire, those soulstones could still be put to use.
"This bald guy... hmmm, this outfit doesn’t seem quite appropriate."
Looking at the bald man wearing a black suit and red tie in front of him, Fang Zheng’s eye twitched slightly, still returning it silently, not knowing why, but as a programmer, Fang Zheng found the bald head particularly glaring.
Moreover, the suit and tie were too modern.
Better this one.
Looking at this hooded figure in a white robe in front of him, Fang Zheng nodded in satisfaction. He reached out, grabbed the page, and folded it into a paper airplane, then gently tossed it forward.
Immediately, the paper airplane soared sharply through the air, transforming into a white radiance disappearing into the air.
