Just as James led his team hurriedly toward the North Pacific, Fang Zheng had also intercepted intelligence through the Emperor Organization’s information network.
Muto had awakened, which meant that the creature would likely head to Hawaii, hmm...
Fang Zheng closed his eyes and pondered for a moment. Frankly speaking, it had been a long time since Fang Zheng had watched that movie, and he could only remember a rough plot. If he wasn’t mistaken, Muto would be in Hawaii, and as for the specific time, Fang Zheng only remembered it was at night. Besides that, it seemed Godzilla would also appear and battle Muto?
Fortunately, monster horror movies always had simple plots. Although Fang Zheng only remembered the gist, that gist was enough. The rest... he would recall it once he arrived at the scene!
After making his decision, Fang Zheng immediately left Skull Island for Hawaii with Kraken and several genetically modified Flying Dragons, not bringing Leviathan along. After all, Leviathan’s size was too large, very likely to be detected by satellites and radar. But with just these Flying Dragons and Kraken, Fang Zheng could still rely on his Prophecy Spell to evade human tracking.
When Fang Zheng arrived in Hawaii, it was nightfall, and at that moment Hawaii was still a haven of peace and joy, with people singing and dancing on the beach, enjoying their peaceful and blissful lives.
Well, this was actually quite normal.
Although the scene looked somewhat comical, it at least showed that Muto had not yet appeared to wreak havoc. So Fang Zheng immediately dispatched his Flying Dragons to search around. Before long, they found Muto in the woods not far from the Hawaii beach.
At that moment, the creature was holding a nuclear submarine on a tree, cracking open the shell and consuming nuclear missiles. Watching this scene, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but click his tongue in wonder. Even though he was aware of this setup, seeing a monster eat nuclear missiles still seemed unbelievable to him.
But coming back to it, the creature’s appearance wasn’t as bizarre as Godzilla’s; its surface was smooth, and its forward-facing head even appeared square, making it look more like some futuristic science fiction entity. Not to say anything else, this thing did look somewhat pleasing.
So, what should he do next?
Hiding in the clouds and looking down at Muto in the forest below, Fang Zheng fell into deep contemplation. His main purpose in coming to the Creature World was for Muto’s EMP and its electromagnetic attacks. Of course, if he could also acquire Godzilla’s genes for the Swarm, that would be even better. But recalling the information he had seen in the Emperor Project, aside from Muto and Godzilla, this world still harbored the Blossom Beast...
Moreover, if the records of the Emperor Project were correct, then besides these, Earth seemed to hide even more giant creatures. In that case, if he wanted to maximize benefits, hmm... should he put on a show?
"Rumble rumble rumble...!!"
As Fang Zheng pondered, suddenly he caught the sound of airplane engines. As Fang Zheng turned his head toward the direction of the sound, he saw several helicopters closing in rapidly on Muto, who was joyously eating nuclear missiles. Seeing this scene, Fang Zheng’s eyes lit up.
If he remembered correctly, investigating these creatures was supposed to be handled by the Emperor Organization, whose purpose was the investigation, research, and communication of giant monsters, right?
In that case... Hehehe, perhaps it really was time for a show?
With that thought, Fang Zheng immediately made a decision.
That would work!
Having settled on a course of action, Fang Zheng immediately commanded Kraken and the Flying Dragons to hide on the other side of the mountain, while he found a spot to quietly transform back into a human form and then started to relive the "movie plot" he had once seen from afar.
What followed wasn’t much different from the movie. The helicopters and the army soon discovered Muto snacking on nuclear missiles and launched an attack. As in all monster movies, the human weapons were completely ineffective. However, they clearly weren’t about to retreat just yet, and soon Fang Zheng saw two more fighter jets flying in from another side of the coast, trying to launch a missile attack on the enemy.
At that moment, Muto suddenly raised what looked like its bat-like forelimbs. Soon after, Fang Zheng saw a bright red glow begin to flicker on the tips of Muto’s forelimbs. Then, Muto heavily slammed its forelimbs down onto the ground.
The next moment, a massive, invisible EMP shockwave suddenly appeared, radiating outwards in a spherical shape from Muto as the center. The three helicopters and two fighter jets, which had just arrived and hadn’t even had a chance to make their presence felt, were immediately unlucky, losing power and crashing to the ground, turning into fiery balls.
This was it!
Feeling the invisible EMP shockwave, Fang Zheng clenched his fists tightly. This was what he needed, and what the Swarm currently needed. Although he wasn’t sure of the principle behind Muto’s Skill, Fang Zheng believed that if he could drag Muto’s body back to Skull Island and let the Swarm analyze it, he would definitely find the answers!
After the disturbance, Muto seemed no longer inclined to continue its meal; instead, as if sensing something, it turned and walked toward the direction of the coast.
Fang Zheng certainly knew what was there, even though the movie didn’t make it clear, but according to the Emperor Project’s report, the "egg" of Muto was excavated from a fossil suspected to be Godzilla’s and was activated. Then a question arose: this thing clearly appeared to be a different species from Godzilla, and they fought each other to death in the movie, so how could they possibly mix together?
Could it be that it was a mother Godzilla, adopting the enemy’s egg due to overflowing maternal instincts, just like a tigress raising a fawn?
What a joke!
From what the Emperor Organization deduced from Muto’s habits, it is highly likely that Muto attacked Godzilla and used it as the "nest" to incubate its eggs. After all, from what we can tell, the incubation of such creatures requires a vast amount of radioactive elements. And since Godzilla is naturally a walking nuclear reactor, and nuclear power stations were out of the question tens of thousands of years ago when humans had likely not yet appeared, these creatures needed substantial radioactive elements to reproduce.
And Godzilla was their target so, in the eyes of the Emperor Organization, Muto and Godzilla were each other’s restraint. Muto needed the radioactive elements inside Godzilla to reproduce. Meanwhile, Godzilla, to prevent Muto’s widespread reproduction, would have to eliminate it to ensure it wouldn’t become "The Hive."
Thus, when the two met, a fight to the death was inevitable until the last moment.
And indeed, it seemed that the members of the Emperor Organization were not daydreaming: soon after reaching the coast of Hawaii, Muto began fighting Godzilla, who had just emerged from the ocean. They exchanged blows, battling fiercely.
But then, Godzilla roared and threw a punch with his right hand, executing the Sky-Piercing Qi. This was Godzilla’s signature move, either deadly or severely injurious once unleashed. And Muto was no ordinary foe; faced with Godzilla’s powerful strike, it performed a hawk-like flip, lightly leaping into the air, and then Muto’s claws came slashing down together in a move known as the Nine Yin White Bone Claw toward Godzilla’s crown.
Despite Godzilla’s formidable reputation, he neither dodged nor evaded but met the attack head-on. As Muto’s palm slammed down, it seemed Godzilla’s skull would be smashed into pulp, but at that moment, a sound like metal striking stone suddenly rang out, and Muto felt as if it had struck a solid wall, experiencing both numbness and pain, while Godzilla’s skull remained unharmed.
Seeing this, Muto was shocked and exclaimed in surprise, "Could this be the Shaolin Diamond Indestructible Kungfu?" Godzilla then brought his palms together, his determined eyes glaring. He murmured "Amitabha," embodying the demeanor of a high monk, and then he raised his head, looking at Muto before speaking again.
"Master Mu, your kin have been around for over a million years; why have you not yet seen through this mortal world? If you do not surrender now, this humble monk will have to forcefully destroy you."
Hearing Godzilla’s words, Muto snorted coldly, showing disdain.
"They say old monks are blind; you can’t even tell if I am male or female, what gives you the right to meddle in my affairs? Before I go to find my lady, I’ll send you, old bald monk, to the Western Paradise!"
Before he had finished speaking, Muto suddenly soared into the air, its enormous body fluttering toward Godzilla like a butterfly, executing a move called the Celestial Visitor. Godzilla then chanted a Buddhist mantra and looked up.
"Since Master Mu refuses to turn back from the edge, then do not blame this monk for vanquishing demons and exorcising devils!"
Before he had finished the word ’demon,’ Godzilla swung a powerful punch, showcasing the force of King Kong, aimed directly at Muto’s chest!
This was one of the Shaolin 72 Arts, Black Tiger Heart Extraction!
"Bang!!"
While it was said and done swiftly, Godzilla’s move, Black Tiger Heart Extraction, struck Muto’s chest, causing Muto to scream in agony and fly backward, crashing into the airport building behind it and turning it into rubble. Immediately, flames erupted, and the surrounding area was filled with continuous screams. The people below were pale-faced as they stared at this terrifying scene.
They had long heard that a clash between Heavenly Level fighters could split mountains and fracture the earth, yet they hadn’t expected such a ground-shaking battle. Despite its young age, Muto was able to withstand a ten-thousand-year-old high monk, its strength already beyond the Three Realms, not confined within the Five Elements.
This child must not be allowed to live!
—————The above were all figments of Fang Zheng’s imagination.
Alright, it was almost time.
Seeing that Muto was clearly losing to Godzilla and about to turn and flee, Fang Zheng straightened his clothes, then the corners of his mouth slightly curled up.
Next, it was their time to shine!
As the sun rises from the east, only I am undefeated. Through a thousand autumns and ten thousand generations, I shall unify Jianghu!
