"Are you really going to make this wish?"
When QB heard the wishes of these three mischievous kids, QB himself was bewildered.
It’s no wonder, after all, having a deceiving career for so many years, it was always him tricking others, and now he’s the one being taken advantage of... Hmm, he indeed needs some time to adapt to this.
"You need to think carefully, if you make such a wish, without enough causality, it can’t be fulfilled."
Oh, frightened, frightened, QB is scared.
Seeing this, Red Ponytail chuckled. Back when QB signed contracts, he didn’t explain much to others. In fact, many people didn’t even understand things like causality or impurity before signing. But now, QB is actually voluntarily explaining it to them?
This is rare indeed.
"We’ve already decided."
However, the three mischievous kids wouldn’t be dissuaded by QB’s words.
"So... QB, please give me the power of Recovery..."
"Please give me the power of Transformation..."
"Please give me the power of Manifestation..."
The three girls spoke their wishes in unison, and then, light burst forth instantly.
Next, QB’s body began to shrink slowly, and with a "plop," the aura on its ears fell to the ground, and QB silently disappeared into the air.
Following this, the three girls transformed into — Magical Girls.
"Awesome, now everything’s fine!"
Looking at herself in the Magical Girl attire, Toka excitedly raised her hand, and Yumem nodded. But, unlike them, at this moment, Yu revealed a pained expression.
"Yu? What’s wrong?"
The two quickly noticed something was off with Yu and hurriedly looked over. At this moment, Yu had already kneeled on the ground, and immediately...
"Ahhhhh!!!!"
Accompanied by the heart-wrenching screams, thick black smoke burst out from Yu’s body, and everyone was shocked.
"Yu, Yu!!"
"What’s wrong? Yu!"
Not only Toka and Yumem were worriedly looking at her, but Kohin also rushed over, desperately wanting to hold Yu in her arms. However, this was just an illusion of Time Retrospection, so Kohin missed her grasp. Meanwhile, Red Ponytail helplessly raised her hand to her forehead.
"Ah... Something went wrong, I said it before, those mischievous kids never consider consequences for their actions..."
"What’s going on? I thought their plan was fine?"
Yachiyo looked at the scene with confusion, questioning aloud. In fact, after hearing the girls’ explanation, she also thought this method should have no issues, but... why did something go wrong so quickly?
"It’s simple, they considered many things, but they overlooked QB himself."
"QB... himself?"
Felicia and Tsuruno exchanged glances, and Red Ponytail shrugged her shoulders.
"QB is just the manifestation of a vast information body, a unity where one is all, and all is one. It’s one QB and could be a thousand QBs, a million QBs, ten million QBs. Toka’s idea was good; if you compare the entire QB entity to a network, what they wanted to do was disconnect one host from the QB network, then combine them three into a new host, but..."
"But?"
"I said it before, humans have their limits, and so do Magical Girls."
Red Ponytail helplessly spread her hands.
"The current situation is that even though Yu transformed into a Magical Girl, her data transmission and processing capacity remains at 100MB/S, but now she’s supposed to handle 1TB/S data. This clearly exceeds her pressure limit. In fact, Yu just got unlucky because she was the first port of this system. Like a dam, if a tsunami comes, the dam is the first to suffer. The other two won’t be much better off; if Yu can’t handle it, they’re next in line for bad luck."
"Ahhhhhhh!!"
"At this rate, Yu will turn into a Witch!"
Seeing Yu’s painful struggle, both Toka and Yumem turned pale.
"I’ll handle the Transformation... Yumem, you handle the Manifestation!"
While speaking, Toka raised her hand, soon, the magic radiance appeared in her hand, but...
"No use, can’t keep up!"
"See, I told you."
Seeing this, Red Ponytail shook her head again, the core of three isn’t enough, Toka and Yumem aren’t affected solely because Yu is acting as the breakwater. Once Yu collapses, the massive impurity will directly crash into Toka and Yumem. After all, Yu’s wish was "Recovery," and she has a certain resistance to impurity, but the other two don’t have this resistance, they’d end up severely harmed.
"Little Hong, do you have any solution?!"
At this moment, Kohin was frantic with worry, frantically waving her hands, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t reach Yu. And Red Ponytail was merely shaking her head.
"No, Kohin, this is just the retrospect of the past, we cannot interfere with the past."
"But... Yu’s condition..."
"Swish——!"
Suddenly, amidst the frantic chaos, a layer of green protective shield emerged, isolating the entire hospital. Shortly afterward, Elina with green hair appeared in front of the three.
"Although it’s my first time creating a barrier, I’ve now isolated this place from the world, you know?"
"Thank you, Elina."
Seeing this, the two finally breathed a sigh of relief, but at this moment Yu still screamed in pain.
"Not good, if this continues, the impurity will contaminate the soul!"
"In this case, we can only extract Yu’s soul!"
"But... even if we extract it..."
"........Hmm?"
Suddenly, at this moment, Red Ponytail’s expression shifted slightly.
The timeline changed!
"Yu!!"
Kohin desperately reached out her hand again, but this time, her hands didn’t pass through Yu’s body like before; instead, she firmly grasped her shoulders.
"Yu!!"
Noticing this, Kohin hurriedly held You in her arms. Seemingly responding to her sister’s call, You barely raised her head to look at Kohin in front of her.
"...Sister..."
Seeing this scene, Red Ponytail’s expression changed.
Got it!
At the same time, Red Ponytail raised her hand without hesitation and snapped her fingers.
"Snap."
At this moment, time stopped.
"You? You?!"
Looking at You in her arms, who was motionless like a statue, Kohin hurriedly called her name loudly. At this time, Red Ponytail approached, reaching out to press her shoulder.
"I have paused their time, she can’t hear you now."
"Little Hong, isn’t there anything you can do?"
Seeing You before her eyes, Kohin was so anxious she was about to cry, while Red Ponytail nodded.
"There’s only one way."
"What way?"
"I can use time to freeze her soul, severing its connection with the outside world. This way, You’s soul will remain in a perpetual state of stasis."
Saying this, Red Ponytail paused for a moment.
"That’s all I can do, and it requires You’s cooperation. Although I don’t know why, the past and our present have synchronized this once, offering only one opportunity, for at most ten seconds."
While speaking, Red Ponytail raised her hand again.
"Only ten seconds."
As soon as the words fell, time began flowing again.
"Ahhhhh!!!"
Once more, You’s scream rang out, as Red Ponytail watched her intently, her crimson eyes suddenly turning completely golden. Then she reached out to grab at the void, and suddenly swung downwards. Soon, within You’s body, a soul began to gradually emerge. She raised her hands, as if responding to Red Ponytail’s call. Then, Red Ponytail extended her finger and gently tapped on the vague humanoid figure.
Afterwards... everything ended.
You vanished, leaving the remaining three standing blankly on the rooftop. Beside them was You, who had lost her human form and turned into a mass of black mist.
"Eh? What are we doing here?"
Toka and Yumem looked at each other in confusion, while Elina pondered for a moment and revealed a peculiar smile.
"Ah, I remember, Elina and the others’ plan... We met a half-witch collecting magic power here and captured it, all to save the magical girls..."
"What’s going on?"
Seeing this, Yachiyo and Tsuruno were puzzled once more.
"Why did they forget You’s existence?"
"Because You’s soul was stopped by time and detached from the world line, thus the world line corrected itself... Uh..."
Saying this, Red Ponytail suddenly froze, then cautiously turned her head to look at Kohin. By now, Felicia had caught on.
"So you’re saying Kohin forgot her own sister because of you?!"
"It’s an uncontrollable force, I couldn’t help it, I’m not all-knowing and all-powerful, how could I know it would turn out like this!"
Red Ponytail firmly expressed her refusal to take the blame!
I’m a Divine Envoy, not the True God, don’t let me take the blame for everything!
"Anyway, the cause and effect of this situation seems clear now."
Red Ponytail waved her hand, and soon the scene before them quickly dissipated.
"It now seems that Margis is an organization created by Toka and Yumem. However, because You’s soul was paused and solidified, they forgot about You’s existence, but the goal of saving magical girls hasn’t changed... Hmm... This really is troublesome."
"So next, we should go to Margis and let Kohin meet with those two girls to explain everything clearly, right?"
Tsuruno thought simply, but... Red Ponytail shook her head.
"No, I said that because You is detached from the timeline, the world’s cause and effect reset, causing their memories to change. The memories of Kohin and You being with them have entirely shifted to that person named Elina. Unless You’s soul awakens and returns to this timeline, even if Kohin tells them, they won’t believe."
"Then let’s just fight our way in!"
Felicia clenched her fist and swung forcefully.
"You should be at Margis too, she was turned into that half-witch, right? Little Hong, as long as you come into contact with her, you can turn her back."
"But won’t this be dangerous?"
Kohin looked at Red Ponytail worriedly.
"You couldn’t handle too much corruption before, so she turned out that way, but once You awakens..."
"Don’t worry, this time I’m here."
Red Ponytail cheerfully raised her hand and patted her chest.
"Earlier, there wasn’t enough time, only enough to do that much, but this time, with me here, you don’t need to worry about You having issues."
"Really?"
"Of course."
"That’s good..."
Relieved by Red Ponytail’s confident answer, Kohin finally relaxed, whereas Yachiyo also approached Kohin from behind, placing her hand on her shoulder.
"So next, the issue is where exactly this Margis organization is."
"Yes, but before that..."
"Before that?"
"There’s another thing we need to do."
Saying this, Red Ponytail’s lips curled into a smile.
"And that is to steal business!"
