The journey to the flagship was easier than expected. Tabasa summoned her familiar spirits and brought Henrietta and Red Ponytail to the flagship. Wherever they went, not only was there no one stopping them, but those who saw Red Ponytail immediately chose to make way. Even on the flagship, they encountered no obstacles and made their way smoothly to the flagship’s command room.
"Bang."
Red Ponytail kicked open the sealed door, and the first thing that greeted them was a thick, bloody smell. Looking around, all the people in the command room were already lying dead, with only a man with blue hair and beard, like Tabasa, smiling as he sat in a chair, gazing at the Longsword in his hand, stained with fresh blood.
"You’re here."
The man lifted his head, looked at Tabasa, and then glanced to the side.
"See? This is humanity. When they realize the situation is against them, they immediately want to betray... Hmm, it’s strange, shouldn’t I be angry now, or sad? But my heart feels nothing... Whether it’s torturing you or your mother, or killing my elder brother, none of it seems to matter to me... I had thought that seeing you before me would change my mind, but alas... it seems to be useless."
"What are you saying?"
Tabasa raised the Rapier in her hand, gazing coldly at the man who killed her father, as a palpable chill condensed around her, even forming a thick layer of ice on the ground. Despite this, the man’s expression didn’t change; instead, he simply smiled at Tabasa.
"You want revenge, don’t you? Then let me see if you have that skill."
"I want vengeance for Father!!"
Upon hearing this, Tabasa could no longer hold back. She angrily shouted, and the next moment saw several ice pillars appear out of thin air, shooting toward the man.
But suddenly, a figure in Black Robe appeared beside the man. Facing the ice pillars shooting from Tabasa, he simply stretched out his hand and slapped forward, and Tabasa was shocked to see her ice pillars suddenly turn around and fly back toward her!
However, Tabasa wasn’t just an ordinary Mage; if it were Louise facing such an attack, she might be left helpless. But Tabasa was a Mage of exceptional power and a member of the North Flowerbed Knights’ Order—being called a knight certainly meant Tabasa’s abilities were not limited to magic.
Faced with the reflected ice pillars, Tabasa immediately swung her Rapier, quickly shattering them, then warily stared at the Black Robe person.
"Who are you?!"
"......"
The Black Robe person didn’t speak, just dropped the cloak, revealing his long golden hair and the pointed, long ears.
Upon seeing this, both Tabasa and Henrietta’s expressions changed drastically.
"Elf!?"
"Oh-ho, interesting."
Seeing this, Red Ponytail raised her eyebrow.
The relationship between humans and Elves in this world is equally strained, even more so. In this world’s mythology, what is considered the Founder or God of Heaven is seen by Elves as the Demon. Elves also refer to humans as Barbarians, overall... it is certain that they cannot stand each other.
Humans react with fear upon seeing Elves, and Elves view humans as lower creatures. Both sides see the other as Heresy, and hostility is naturally inevitable.
Of course, the most significant thing is that Elves are much more powerful than humans. Even now, humans must rely on Magic Wands to cast spells, whereas Elves don’t need to do so. They just need to make a pact with the Familiar Spirits in the atmosphere, and then they can directly use Elemental Power to fight.
And right now, an Elf has appeared in the human domain, and even beside the human King.
"This is your first meeting, right?"
The blue-haired man smiled brightly at everyone.
"This is my... collaborator. Oh, by the way, Charlotte, the mind-bending potion mixed in the glass your mother drank was crafted by the Elves. I simply don’t trust human technology, although it seems Elf technology is not perfect either."
"What?!"
Upon hearing this, Tabasa’s expression changed again. She fiercely stared at the Elf before her, the chill around her further spreading.
"It was you who harmed Mother... I will never forgive you!"
Tabasa roared loudly. Then she swung her Rapier forward, and an ice dragon emerged from the ground, shooting toward the Elf.
"Useless, Barbarian’s Spell..."
The Elf raised his hand again, but this time, the ice dragon didn’t get reflected like the ice pillars; instead, it only paused slightly, then continued moving as if it penetrated some barrier. At this moment, the Elf’s face first showed some surprise and fear; he hurriedly retreated, chanting a Spell Text again.
But at this moment, the ice dragon exploded before the Elf’s eyes, scattering ice shards that disrupted the Elf’s chant, preventing him from completing the Spell.
Just a second.
But a second was enough for Tabasa.
Her figure suddenly appeared from behind the flying ice shards, and Tabasa’s Rapier suddenly thrust forward like lightning—then was held against the Elf’s neck.
"Stop chanting."
Feeling the chill of the sword, the Elf obediently stopped chanting, while the man clapped his hands as if enjoying a theatrical performance.
"Impressive, impressive! I really didn’t expect you could defeat even an Elf; it seems I underestimated your abilities."
"Because I have acquired more potent power."
Tabasa coldly stared at the Elf while answering.
"Is it from the God of Magical Girls? I never imagined such an entity exists in the world... If it appeared before me, perhaps I would worship it too."
"Heh-heh."
Upon hearing this, Red Ponytail chuckled.
"It’s impossible for you to change genders this lifetime or the next."
Go ahead and dream your wild dreams.
"Really? I think so too. After all, someone like me wouldn’t have a chance to go to heaven, right?"
As he spoke, the man reached out and pulled a sphere from his bosom.
"In that case, you all can die with me."
Upon seeing this, the elf’s face immediately changed drastically.
"Wait, that’s a flint, you...!"
But before the elf could finish speaking, the man had already tossed the sphere into the air. At the same time, fierce flames erupted inside the sphere, followed by a sudden explosion—no wait, it didn’t explode?
The stone sphere was hurled into the air, its surface cracked, revealing the searing flames and sprayed fragments from within. But at that moment, everything froze in the air, like a painting.
"Not bad, not bad, decisive and ruthless without the usual boss-like chatter explaining what this is and what consequences it will bring... well, you’re quite the qualified villain."
The girl with the red ponytail clapped her hands, grinning at the man who was similarly frozen in action from his chair.
"But unfortunately, in the face of absolute power, your decisiveness means nothing."
"Divine Envoy, this is..."
Only then did Henrietta react, her face going pale. She had been a step too slow, or perhaps the man’s actions were simply too fast. Just as the girl with the red ponytail said, he took out that thing, tossed it into the air, and said, ’die with me’... the whole process took less than three seconds. Henrietta hadn’t even fully grasped what happened. But now, looking at that sphere seemingly fixed in the air, she could guess it might be some kind of powerful bomb that, if it went off, could probably blow them all to pieces.
"What do you plan to do, Tabasa?"
The girl with the red ponytail looked towards Tabasa, who remained silent for a moment before raising her head to face the elf in front of her.
"I won’t let the one who killed my father and drove my mother to madness get away."
"But I advise you not to kill me."
The elf’s expression remained calm.
"If you kill me, my kin will avenge me, leading to a war between elves and humans."
"Ha, who are you trying to scare?"
The girl with the red ponytail rolled her eyes, glancing at the man who was frozen.
"This guy also talked about war, and now you see where he is."
"Barbarians are fragile and insignificant, but we will not abandon our honor because of that."
Confronting the girl with the red ponytail, the elf showed no fear.
"Your power is truly formidable, comparable to the power of a demon, but we will never bow to you, even if it means fighting to the last man."
"Oh."
Although the elf’s tone was firm and determined, even prompting Tabasa to hesitate, the girl with the red ponytail merely yawned, looking as if she were on the verge of boredom, like listening to a principal’s speech all morning.
"Whatever."
"Wa—wait, Divine Envoy?"
"A bunch of ants telling me they will fight to the last man, I really don’t know how to respond."
The girl with the red ponytail shrugged helplessly, and upon hearing her words, Henrietta, Tabasa, and the elf all showed strange expressions. While these words might be seen as arrogant by an outsider, considering the girl with the red ponytail had just split the earth with one sword... they really didn’t know what to say.
"But, of course, we can’t let this guy off."
The girl with the red ponytail glanced at the man, then looked at Tabasa.
"Tabasa, do you want to personally kill him to avenge your father?"
"I..."
Tabasa gripped her rapier tightly, but in the end, she just stared at the man and shook her head.
"Yeah, I thought so. Such a disgusting guy, doing it yourself would just dirty your hands. Let me do it for you."
As she said this, the girl with the red ponytail snapped her fingers, and the next moment, the man and the flint before him vanished. Then, in the distant sky, with a deafening "boom," a massive fireball formed, searing and swirling in the air before spinning away and disappearing.
Seeing this, both Tabasa and Henrietta’s expressions shifted slightly. Clearly, that fireball’s power would have reduced them to pieces—if not for the girl with the red ponytail’s intervention.
"As for this guy... letting him die would be too easy."
The girl with the red ponytail chuckled, looking at the elf before her.
"Since he caused your mother so much pain all these years, in equal exchange, we’ll make his life a living death."
She said this with a grin, revealing her small, sharp canine teeth.
"I have a good idea."
Then she spoke.
