Since knowing the other party has the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, Fang Zheng naturally wouldn’t let Akiha go out anymore. He let Akiha take care of Arcueid while he went out alone.
After all, no matter how formidable the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception are, they’re still a product of another world; they couldn’t possibly see the lines of death on Fang Zheng’s body. If they try, even better, the Power of Time would directly burn their brain, making it easy for Fang Zheng.
Unfortunately, Akiha is someone from this world and doesn’t have the ability to resist the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception. Fang Zheng brought her along as a convenient summer extracurricular tutor, but definitely not to send her to her death.
So, it’s better for Fang Zheng to handle things himself at this moment.
But finding that guy isn’t that easy.
Even though Fang Zheng used "Ratziel," the conclusion it provided was that the vampire named Roa was already dead, and the location was abroad — evidently, this wasn’t a real record. And when Fang Zheng investigated what name Roa goes by in this life, the clues ended again.
Obviously, as Arcueid mentioned, that magician was specialized in reincarnation techniques in his previous life, which is why he was nicknamed "the Snake." It seems there’s some logic to it.
This didn’t surprise Fang Zheng either. The magecraft in the Type Moon World is not strong, but there really are a lot of useful tricks in those crooked paths. For instance, the rumored Fourth Magic holder — Fang Zheng also heard Aoko mention it before, saying that Fourth Magic is quite bizarre, seemingly equivalent to completely erasing oneself. Out of curiosity, Fang Zheng used "Ratziel" to search for it, and the result was "No such person" — which, of course, is impossible. It implies that the person used some method to completely erase their traces from this world.
Speaking of which, what’s the use of the Fourth Magic like that?
Fang Zheng couldn’t figure it out, so he could only attribute it to each having their own aspirations.
Maybe some people just like to be reclusive?
And as for how Arcueid was able to find him, according to Arcueid, it was because she had drunk his blood before, forming a vague connection, so as soon as Roa reincarnated, she would immediately sense it.
Fang Zheng didn’t have such an advantage.
No problem, if "Ratziel" doesn’t work, I can still use prophecy, as if I practiced Prophecy Techniques for nothing?
Standing at the top of a tall building and looking at the city shrouded in night, Fang Zheng raised his right hand, and soon, a string of gemstones emerged at his fingertips, then shattered.
The dust from the gemstones blurred Fang Zheng’s vision, and then... the scene before him began to change.
Under the pitch-black night sky, a brown-haired schoolgirl dressed in a school uniform was walking down the street, carrying a backpack, moving forward step by step. She looked no different from an ordinary person. However, at that moment, the brown-haired girl seemed to have sensed something; she looked around uneasily, checked behind her, then quickened her pace and continued forward.
Soon, the brown-haired girl arrived at the park. From her route, it seemed she needed to pass through the park to get home. And at the moment, the park wasn’t crowded; most people had gone home for dinner and sleep, leaving only a few, making the entire park appear empty...
Fang Zheng could "see" himself hiding in the bushes not far from the girl. The girl seemed to instinctively sense something, quickened her pace, and started running.
"Tap tap tap tap!!!"
The hurried footsteps echoed on the path. However, not a single person could be seen on the path, and suddenly, Fang Zheng "saw" that girl abruptly appear in front of him!
No, it should be said that "the person" he saw was pouncing on the girl.
Then... there was nothing more.
Only these clues?
Fang Zheng opened his eyes again, frowning slightly. This wasn’t what is happening now. In fact, from the scene’s timing, it was evening, around 7 PM. And now it was 3 AM, which meant that after being injured by Arcueid, that guy perhaps attacked someone else to heal... but...
This is just a victim, what does it have to do with finding that guy?
Fang Zheng was a bit puzzled because the target for performing the Prophecy Technique was to locate that guy; then the Prophecy Technique played a "vampire horror" for him...
Could that guy have left some clues on the victim?
Although it wasn’t clear what was happening, since the Prophecy Technique had given the target, Fang Zheng decided to go check it out. So without taking much time, Fang Zheng returned to the park — by now, the entire park was silent, not even a ghost was in sight.
Following the scene seen in the Prophecy Technique, Fang Zheng arrived at the location where the "incident" occurred. There was no body, no police tape, nor police wandering around.
Perhaps the girl’s family is looking for her right now, maybe they’ve called the police?
However, it wasn’t long before Fang Zheng found the girl’s... body in the woods not far away.
"As expected, she’s already dead."
Looking at the girl with closed eyes and a pale face in front of him, Fang Zheng opened his personal terminal to scan her, then arrived at a conclusion. Judging by various bodily indicators, the girl was evidently a dead person. And the cause of death was obviously the two small punctures on her neck.
It’s apparent that she died from blood drainage.
So what to do next?
Just have to call the police then.
With a sigh and shrugging his shoulders, Fang Zheng opened his personal terminal intending to call the police, but just at that moment...
"Hmm......."
Accompanied by a low moan, next moment Fang Zheng saw that girl slowly opening her eyes.
Only now, her eyes had turned blood red.
"Hmm... I......."
"Hmm? Why does this scene look so familiar?"
Fang Zheng paused, looking at the slowly sitting up brown-haired girl, then patted his head.
Isn’t this just like Sanhua Remi in the zombie world!
So she also got bitten and turned into a zombie?
"So thirsty... I’m so thirsty..."
While Fang Zheng was contemplating, the brown-haired girl wobbled to her feet and then directly reached out with her hands to pounce at Fang Zheng — only for Fang Zheng to calmly press her head down with one hand.
"Hmm......."
"Hmm... This one still has some awareness, seems different from a regular zombie."
As Fang Zheng was speaking, the brown-haired schoolgirl grabbed his arm and bit it.
Then with an "ow," she crouched on the ground, covering her mouth, not moving.
Haha, lucky you didn’t break your teeth.
Fang Zheng also chuckled lightly, looking at the brunette girl crouching on the ground, covering her mouth. Just kidding, you think those few teeth of yours can bite through my dragon scales? You must be dreaming. Given Fang Zheng’s current body, the only possibility for bleeding would be a period... Oh wait, the body’s age isn’t reached yet.
That means it’s immune to all poisons.
Hmm? Now that I think about it, is the reason many goddesses in anime and games are big little girls because of this? After all, that’s godhood, if a goddess got a period, what would the power of period blood be? Speaking of which, what about the Goddess of Order? How does she solve this issue? Should I ask her avatar or Fina after going back... or maybe not.
Pulling my wandering thoughts back, Fang Zheng took a look at the brunette girl crouching on the ground whimpering, and knocked her out with a flick of his hand, then picked her up.
This girl looks a bit off. Though usually, people become zombie-like things after being sucked by a vampire, she seems to still have consciousness, just controlled by bloodthirst. Although Fang Zheng isn’t particularly familiar with the vampires in Type Moon World, isn’t there an expert next to me?
Ask her.
Thinking this, Fang Zheng grabbed the brunette girl and teleported back to the hotel room.
Seeing Fang Zheng suddenly come back, Akiha and Arcueid, who were watching TV in the room, were startled. Their confusion grew when they saw the brunette girl in his hand.
"Miss Little Red, who is this?"
"A victim."
Fang Zheng casually tossed the brunette girl onto the sofa and explained to Akiha.
"I tracked that guy Roa and found her, seems like Roa got badly slapped by Arcueid, so he found someone to replenish blood. Unfortunately, by the time I arrived, she was already dead."
"Uh..."
Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Akiha was dumbfounded—why bring her back when she’s already dead?
But before Akiha could speak, the brunette girl woke up again with an "ugh wa," jumped up, and made a stance to attack. But upon seeing the Red Ponytail in front of her, she immediately shrank, stiffly standing in place, not daring to move.
"How interesting."
Arcueid also curiously stared.
"Just transformed into a Dead Apostle, and already able to control her bloodthirst?"
"I think it’s because the memory was too vivid."
Fang Zheng remembered her almost breaking her teeth trying to bite him earlier, evidently making her fearful. So he casually reached out, took out a bag of blood, and handed it to her.
"Here, drink this, ice-cold, refreshing."
"Mmm...!!"
Seeing the blood bag in Fang Zheng’s hand, the brunette girl did not hesitate this time, grabbed it, bit it open, and started drinking, as if she hadn’t had a drop of water in the Sahara Desert for three days and nights. Watching this, even Akiha beside her couldn’t help but pick up her drink and took a few more sips...
As for Arcueid...
"I say, aren’t you going to have some?"
Fang Zheng watched her as she stared at the brunette girl sucking blood, swallowing intently, and pulled out another bag of blood.
"Just say which type you want, A, B, AB, O, all available. Of course, if you want panda blood, I might have to go back and look for..."
"I don’t want it!"
Hearing this, Arcueid immediately shouted, refusing Fang Zheng’s offer.
"I’m a True Ancestor, can’t drink human blood!"
"Then what kind of vampire are you?"
"..."
If not for her body not being fully grown yet, Arcueid would have wanted to pounce and fight the Red Ponytail girl.
"Whew..."
At this moment, the brunette girl also finished the bag of blood with a few gulps, let out a satisfied sigh, then suddenly shivered as if awakening from sleepwalking, looked around, and upon seeing the luxurious Presidential Suite and the three girls standing around, the brunette girl was stunned.
"Hey? Who are you? Where is this?"
Arcueid was surprised by the brunette girl’s reaction.
"She can talk?"
Come on, everyone can talk.
Fang Zheng rolled his eyes at Arcueid, then smiled and patted the brunette girl’s shoulder in front of him.
"Hey, little girl, what’s your name?"
"Little girl?"
Hearing Fang Zheng’s term, and looking at the Red Ponytail girl whose height only reached her chest, the girl felt something was amiss, but she still replied.
"Uh... my name is Satsuki Yumizuka..."
"Satsuki Yumizuka, right? Hmm, you might be confused about the situation, let me explain it to you."
Fang Zheng coughed while looking at the brunette girl in front of him.
"To sum it up... you’re already dead."
"...Huh?"
