"Hoo..."
Fang Zheng opened his eyes, and the first thing he saw was the familiar ceiling.
"Good morning, brother."
He heard Sora’s voice in his ears and turned his head to see Sora lying there, smiling at Fang Zheng.
"Good morning..."
He patted Sora’s head, yawned, and then sat up.
"Get up, it’s time to make breakfast."
"Okay."
Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Sora obediently nodded, then stood up and began to get dressed. Fang Zheng watched her graceful back, then reached out his hand...
"Ah———!"
The next moment, Sora was pulled back by Fang Zheng.
"Wait, brother, didn’t you say breakfast...?"
"There’s time to make it later..."
"Ugh..."
It had been nearly a week since they left Tenjin Elementary.
For most people, life hadn’t changed much. Even Yukina and the others only had a few nightmares before gradually returning to normal. Although they encountered some danger there, it wasn’t life-threatening, so everyone recovered quickly.
However, there were some changes.
Fang Zheng wasn’t too clear about what others encountered at Tenjin Elementary, but it seemed to play a great role in enhancing their friendships. For example, the relationship between Yukina and Touma was just so-so before, but now Yukina could invite Touma to lunch with a smile, and the world became good friends with Gui Kotonoha, allowing Kotonoha, who had been isolated at school, to reintegrate into the group.
To this, Fang Zheng could only say, "A blessing in disguise."
Other than that, his relationship with Sora had also changed. If before, Fang Zheng and Sora were just siblings, now they were also in a romantic relationship. Sora’s character gradually became more cheerful, and she wasn’t as reclusive as before.
Of course, speaking of another change, since coming back, Fang Zheng and Sora had been sleeping together.
Besides, they had gained another family member.
"Hoo ah..."
"Good morning, brother, sister."
When Fang Zheng yawned and entered the living room, a childish voice sounded. He saw a girl with waist-length hair, dressed in a red dress, quietly appear from the living room sofa and respectfully greeted them.
"Morning, Yukiko."
Facing the red-dressed girl, Fang Zheng waved his hand.
Yes... appearing here was none other than Shizaki Sachiko, the central figure and mastermind of Tenjin Elementary.
But her appearance, to be honest, was unexpected for Fang Zheng.
Back at Tenjin Elementary, Fang Zheng purified the evil energy and Nirvana from Shizaki Sachiko, then had Shizaki Sachiko send them out. After that, Shizaki Sachiko ascended. Since Nirvana, which was the core of Tenjin Elementary, was burned by Fang Zheng, the entire spirit space collapsed, and the souls bound at Tenjin Elementary naturally ascended... Fang Zheng thought that was the end of it.
Yet the next day, when he woke up, he found Shizaki Sachiko lying beside him... nearly scaring Fang Zheng to death.
After that, Fang Zheng conducted an examination on Shizaki Sachiko, and the conclusion left him speechless.
At that time, Shizaki Sachiko was indeed purified and ascended.
But... the question was, where do the purified souls go after ascending?
Fang Zheng wasn’t very clear; according to China’s saying, it would be reincarnation, or in Western terms, going to Heaven.
However, Shizaki Sachiko’s soul, after being purified, came here instead.
The reason was simple—because Shizaki Sachiko also belonged to the category of "girls with transcendent powers"!
So, she was regarded by the system as a "Magical Girl" and directly sent over to Fang Zheng, the "God of Magical Girls".
What could Fang Zheng say about that?
He was also at a loss!
To be honest, initially, both sides were somewhat awkward. Yukiko knew what she had done in the past, so she was a bit hesitant to interact with Fang Zheng and the others. Fang Zheng, on the other hand, was troubled by this former little demon who killed without batting an eye. You couldn’t just burn her since she’d turned over a new leaf, but if you didn’t, what about the many vengeful spirits who died at her hands...
So what was to be done in the end?
Fortunately, Fang Zheng had seen similar situations in the World of the Immortal Sword. Although Shizaki Sachiko and Nie Xiaoqian weren’t exactly the same—after all, the latter was forced into her predicament, while the former was more or less driven by circumstances—there were also Yokai in the World of the Immortal Sword who killed people but later tried to reform themselves after Fang Zheng issued his decree in the Miao Territory. For these Yokai, Fang Zheng certainly couldn’t just kill them all; he mainly focused on guidance and education...
Therefore, Fang Zheng adopted this method for Yukiko, and Yukiko did not object to it.
As a result, the two parties coexisted peacefully. Now, Yukiko was basically like Fang Zheng’s familiar spirits. She usually resided in Fang Zheng’s phone, while at home, Fang Zheng prepared a room for her. Although, as a ghost, she didn’t need to sleep, she at least needed a personal space, right?
The three of them had been living like this for a week, gradually getting used to it. Sora didn’t have too many concerns about Yukiko but treated her as her own sister, and Yukiko also gradually became less reserved, beginning to regain some of her lively and innocent personality.
After finishing breakfast, Fang Zheng and Sora left the house and went to school.
At school, everything was as usual; everyone seemed normal. But, to be precise, it wasn’t that there were no issues at all.
"Did you see the news? I heard another report was filed..."
"That’s really a spirit away..."
When Fang Zheng walked into the classroom, he soon heard his classmates discussing the "spirit away" incident.
Yes, it was the aftermath of Tenjin Elementary.
In the past, people who died at Tenjin Elementary would have their existence erased, similar to humans in the World of the Crimson Realm whose Power of Existence was swallowed by Followers of the Crimson Realm; no one would remember them, and all traces they left behind would be completely wiped out.
However, after Yukiko was purified and Nirvana was burned by Fang Zheng, the existence of these people was "released" again.
As a result, for a time, many people reported cases to the police, claiming their friends, children, or students had mysteriously disappeared. The police investigated these cases, but there were no clues. No one knew whether they were alive or dead, nor did anyone know when or why they disappeared. For this reason, the media coined these incidents as "Spirit Away" events.
Fang Zheng of course wasn’t interested in this.
"Ah, Haruno."
Right after lunch, the world found Fang Zheng.
"I’ve found a perfect stage for us!"
"Stage?"
Upon hearing the world’s words, Fang Zheng was stunned for a moment before reacting.
"You mean a LIVE... Where’s the location? It’s not the Budokan, is it?"
"Hahaha, no way, we couldn’t afford that place... "
Hearing Fang Zheng’s questions, the world laughed awkwardly. Just joking, although money is indeed omnipotent in a capitalist society, places like the Budokan have rent prices they can’t afford.
"Through my friend, I contacted a LIVE HOUSE. They’ve just finished remodeling and are planning to invite some bands to participate. So I signed us up. It’s been a while since we performed; let’s warm up with a few songs, advertise to the audience, and then hold a LIVE, isn’t it more convenient?"
"Hmm... What you said makes sense."
Fang Zheng had no objection to this. Honestly, he also hoped to find something to do to quickly divert everyone’s attention. Investing energy into the upcoming performance seemed a great choice, as it would prevent them from thinking aimlessly about Tenjin Elementary.
"So, where’s the location?"
"Galaxy!"
Galaxy is a LIVE HOUSE located in the shopping district that had been undergoing renovations. With the renovations complete, the LIVE HOUSE urgently needed a few bands to perform. The world contacted the owner through a friend, and they agreed on the place and time. Fang Zheng brought the group to the site promptly, but...
"World, why are there only girls here?"
Carrying a guitar and feeling the gaze from all around, Fang Zheng was speechless. Looking around, the entire LIVE HOUSE was filled with girls, and he was the only man...
"This isn’t a LIVE HOUSE exclusively for female bands, is it? What do I do?"
"Oh come on, Haruno, don’t be so nervous."
The world laughed and patted Fang Zheng’s shoulder.
"It’s just because all the bands the owner invited for the first day are female bands. It’s a coincidence, and if Haruno feels uncomfortable, how about dressing up as a woman?"
"Dress up as a woman?"
Before Fang Zheng could say anything, Yukina exclaimed, and Setsuna nodded.
"Hmm... With Haruno, I want to see dressing up as a woman."
"Hehe... "
Hearing everyone’s teasing, Fang Zheng rolled his eyes.
If I had my Transformation Bracelet, I could easily turn into a Red Ponytail and be cuter than anyone here!
"Brother... Dressing up as a woman... "
At this moment, Sora also looked at Fang Zheng, lost in thought... Wait, you wouldn’t seriously want me to dress up as a woman?
"Hahaha... "
Meanwhile, Touma was holding her belly, desperately suppressing her laughter.
"Haruno dressing as a woman, nice, nice. Haruno, how about I prepare the clothes for you?"
"I’ll kindly refuse your offer."
Fang Zheng decisively declined Touma’s request. Though he agreed to have the LIVE to ease everyone’s mood, dressing as a woman was another matter. If Fang Zheng could transform into a Red Ponytail, it wouldn’t matter, but without the ability to transform, he wouldn’t dress as a woman at all!
"Hey, hey, Rikka."
At this moment, a girl with a hairstyle resembling cat ears carrying a guitar curiously approached the staff and tugged on her clothes.
"Who are these people? I’ve never seen them before."
No wonder the girl asked this; after all, the bands here were all familiar and knew each other, but Fang Zheng and his band had only performed once at the school festival and never at any LIVE HOUSE. Naturally, no one knew them.
"Ah... They are SchoolDays, specially invited by the owner to participate in the LIVE."
Named Rikka, the staff quickly answered, but upon hearing her words, the twin-tailed girl beside the cat-eared girl exclaimed.
"What? That SchoolDays?!"
"Really?"
"They actually came to participate in the LIVE?"
This time, others also started discussing, even casting surprised glances at Fang Zheng and the others. Sensing the change in atmosphere, everyone, including Yukina and the world, was somewhat confused. To them, performing once at the school festival was just a brief moment of fame, and the heat should have died down by now.
What they didn’t know was the song they performed, "Secret Base~The Things You Gave Me," had exploded online, not only entering the top ten of major music charts but also long hovering in the top three. The song had become one of many people’s favorite songs.
After all, it was a golden track Fang Zheng brought from the original world. SchoolDays caught fire with it. If no one planned to pursue a professional career, they’d surely be famous all across Japan by now.
Consequently, SchoolDays became a legend among independent bands. What Fang Zheng and the team didn’t know was that the video of their performance at the school festival had been taken and made into discs, sold at high prices.
But after that, SchoolDays never appeared on a LIVE again, leading many to believe they wouldn’t continue performing.
No one expected to encounter them here!
