The award ceremony continues.
Teacher He smiled and said, "Next, we will present the Best Sound Effects Award. The nominees are..."
Upon hearing the name "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", the audience was in an uproar.
"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" is immensely popular, almost every film bears its influence.
"I announce that the Best Sound Effects Award goes to РІР‚в„ўCrouching Tiger, Hidden DragonРІР‚в„ў!"
Ye Chen took the stage once again.
Teacher He joked, "Ye Chen, I think you might as well stay on stage and wait for the awards to be presented."
Laughter erupted from the audience upon hearing Teacher HeРІР‚в„ўs words.
In the following awards presentations, none were related to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
However, it wasnРІР‚в„ўt long before Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon was back in the spotlight.
"Next is the Best Action Award, and the winner is РІР‚в„ўCrouching Tiger, Hidden DragonРІР‚в„ў."
"Next, the Best Special Effects Award, and the winner is РІР‚в„ўCrouching Tiger, Hidden DragonРІР‚в„ў."
Ye Chen ascended the stage two more times.
Ye Chen emerged as the biggest winner at this awards ceremony.
Next, was the Best Original Score Award. The winner: РІР‚в„ўCrouching Tiger, Hidden DragonРІР‚в„ў, Ye Chen.
As the awards ceremony continued, it finally reached the announcement of a major award.
Teacher He took the stage again and solemnly said, "Next is the presentation of the Best Director Award..."
After saying this, Teacher HeРІР‚в„ўs gaze turned toward the directors in the audience.
Ye Chen also looked towards Teacher He.
For Ye Chen, it was imperative to win this award.
His goal this time was to secure the Best Director Award, it was also to affirm himself.
After all, Ye Chen had put in a lot of effort for this film.
He wanted to prove himself through this work.
Teacher He smiled and said, "Ladies and gentlemen, the nominees for Best Director are Li Li for РІР‚в„ўPeace HotelРІР‚в„ў, Sun Chen for РІР‚в„ўImmortal LoveРІР‚в„ў
and Ye Chen for РІР‚в„ўCrouching Tiger, Hidden DragonРІР‚в„ў.
The entire venue was extremely quiet.
EveryoneРІР‚в„ўs eyes were on Teacher He.
Teacher He, however, teased by saying, "Please look at the big screen."
When the screen showed the film introduction, Ye Chen felt relieved.
The feature was introducing Ye ChenРІР‚в„ўs Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
After the introduction, Teacher He smiled and said, "Now, everyone should know who the Best Director winner is."
"Please welcome Ye Chen."
The venue erupted in enthusiastic applause.
Ye Chen stood up and embraced the surrounding actors and directors one by one.
Except for Dong Bo, whose face was gloomy.
Ye Chen won the most prestigious directorРІР‚в„ўs award in Hua Country.
After taking the stage, Ye Chen smiled and said, "To receive this award, I am extremely excited. I want to thank the entire crew for their hard work, itРІР‚в„ўs you who made this film, who made me. Secondly, I want to thank those who silently devoted themselves behind the scenes; itРІР‚в„ўs you who helped the film achieve its current glory, thank you."
On stage, Ye Chen bowed.
His performance was impeccable, earning thunderous applause.
With the Best Director Award concluded, Ye Chen had won about as much as he could, and next up were awards for other starring roles in the crew.
"Next is the Best Actress Award."
Upon hearing this award, Ye Chen glanced at Tong Xiaoya beside him.
Tong Xiaoya had been nominated for this award before.
Ultimately, Tong Xiaoya didnРІР‚в„ўt let everyone down and received this prestigious award.
Next was the Best Newcomer Award.
Ye Chen glanced at Zhou Fa beside him.
Zhou Fa sat very straight, evidently a bit nervous.
Ye Chen smiled slightly and whispered, "Relax, no problem."
Indeed, Teacher HeРІР‚в„ўs gaze fell on Zhou Fa: "The Best Newcomer Award goes to Zhou Fa."
The audience erupted in enthusiastic applause.
Ye Chen stood up and embraced Zhou Fa.
This award was really hard-earned.
Back then, there were countless doubts about Zhou Fa playing this role, and many believed that as long as Zhou Fa was in the film, it would surely flop.
But nobody expected that Zhou Fa would prove them wrong with his actions.
Zhou FaРІР‚в„ўs performance received praise from many viewers and even professional critics.
His portrayal of the character left a lasting impression.
With his performance, Zhou Fa transitioned from a newcomer to an A-list star.
After taking the stage, Zhou Fa was extremely excited. He held the trophy and began his acceptance speech.
"First of all, in receiving this award, the person I am most grateful to is Ye Chen, for he gave me the opportunity. He discovered me among so many extras, giving me a chance to succeed. Mr. Ye is my benefactor, and I sincerely thank Mr. Ye."
As he spoke, tears even formed at the corners of Zhou FaРІР‚в„ўs eyes.
His story also inspired countless extras drifting around Hengdian.
Teacher He also smiled and said, "There is an ancient saying that great horses are frequent, but great scouts are rare. Mr. Ye truly is a great scout, to pick out Mr. Zhou Fa among so many extras, your vision is truly exceptional. I can understand how Mr. Zhou Fa feels now, but this is also inseparable from Mr. Zhou FaРІР‚в„ўs own efforts. I believe Mr. Zhou Fa will bring us more wonderful films in the future."
In the audience, Ye Chen watched Zhou Fa with a smile.
The initial choice for Zhou Fa was because he resembled a Film Emperor from his previous life so much.
Sure enough, Zhou Fa did not disappoint; his performances were truly outstanding.
Finally, Liu Hua received the Best Supporting Actor Award.
After getting off the stage, Ye Chen patted Liu Hua on the shoulder.
"Liu Hua, I promise that you will be the Best Actor next year."
Liu Hua nodded.
Although he only won the Best Supporting Actor Award, Liu Hua wasnРІР‚в„ўt dissatisfied at all.
After all, if it wasnРІР‚в„ўt for Ye Chen, he wouldРІР‚в„ўve likely been blacklisted, with no chance to be here at all.
ItРІР‚в„ўs safe to say that Ye Chen gave him this opportunity, and his feelings toward Ye Chen were only of gratitude.
Meanwhile, sitting next to Ye Chen, Dong BoРІР‚в„ўs face looked extremely grim.
Although his film, "Juzi," was also nominated, it didnРІР‚в„ўt win a single award and was relegated to an extra.
Feeling Ye ChenРІР‚в„ўs gaze, Dong Bo glanced back and then lowered his head.
Back then, he cursed Ye Chen as garbage on screen, never imagining Ye ChenРІР‚в„ўs film would become such a massive hit.
The irony of it all was a harsh slap in the face.
Ye Chen found Dong BoРІР‚в„ўs current state rather satisfying.
Idiot, you should have stuck with it.
If Dong Bo hadnРІР‚в„ўt quit, he might have become a renowned director and even earned a billion-dollar bonus from the film.
Unfortunately, he chose to step away in the end.
The film festival concluded in a round of applause, wrapping up perfectly.
"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" was the biggest winner of the awards ceremony, taking home eight awards.
This almost set a record at the film festival.
Just as Ye Chen left the film festival, he received a call from Lin Wanrou.
It turned out that one of their projects had some technical issues requiring Ye ChenРІР‚в„ўs presence.
Ye Chen didnРІР‚в„ўt drive but instead took a bus there.
The mountain road was perilous, and Ye Chen wasnРІР‚в„ўt familiar with the area.
He glanced beside him and was pleasantly surprised, what a beautiful girl!
