“I won’t dwell on the Cosmic Cave Heaven, as your masters must have told you already. I’ll go straight to the rules for entering it. The flow of time inside the Cosmic Cave Heaven is completely different from the outside world.”
“One day outside equals a hundred years inside. Once you enter, focus on cultivating. However, the abundant spiritual Qi there also breeds numerous spirits and monsters, so it’s not necessarily safe. Be cautious and don’t be careless.”
“Yes, thank you for the teachings, Sect Master!” all disciples responded respectfully.
Daoqin nodded in satisfaction, then continued, “The seniors from various cultivation sects will jointly open the Cosmic Cave Heaven, and you wouldn’t be able to enter on your own.”
“Shortly, you must come here to receive a sect talisman. Only by activating the talisman with your mind can you enter the Cosmic Cave Heaven. Remember, time in there is real, not an illusion.”
“If you make no progress in cultivation, don’t force it and waste time there. If you feel your talent is insufficient, it’s better to return promptly. Otherwise, you’ll regret it once you’re back.”
“However, if your talent is exceptional, you can cultivate much faster inside and suppress your cultivation level to study the sect’s profound arts in depth.”
“The Cosmic Cave Heaven opened this time has five levels: Qi Gathering, Enlightment, Foundation Building, Object Manipulation, and Spirit Insight. Each person entering for the first time must choose a talisman suitable for their level.”
“Those who want to enter the Qi Gathering realm can only choose the Qi Gathering level talisman. Once you reach the Qi Gathering realm in the Cosmic Cave Heaven, the talisman will naturally transport you to a higher level.”
“Do not forcibly enter a lower level for the sake of more cultivation time, or else you will be forced out, wasting this great opportunity. Do you understand?”
“Yes, we understand!” The disciples were visibly excited.
“So be it, everyone come forward to receive your talisman,” Daoqin instructed.
“These five elders in front of me will distribute the talismans for the five levels of the Universal Cave Heaven: Qi Gathering, Enlightment, Foundation Building, Object Manipulation, Spirit Insight. Now, you may line up and receive your talisman.”
Soon, all disciples formed five lines, each to receive their respective talisman. Those who reacted slowly naturally ended up at the back of the lines.
“Brother Ye Xuan, I’m going to get the talisman,” Yu Ling’er said to Ye Xuan. “See you later.”
“Mm,” Ye Xuan nodded and headed towards the Foundation Building queue.
Although it took him only two days to reach the Enlightment realm, reaching the Spirit Insight realm would take him over a year. The chance to shorten his cultivation time naturally excited him.
“??!!!” Ye Xuan, dressed in the attire of a newly initiated disciple, stood in the Foundation Building talisman queue, instantly drawing everyone’s attention.
“A fellow disciple, are you mistaken? This is the queue for the Foundation Building talisman,” a Taihua disciple behind Ye Xuan asked him.
The Taihua disciples’ uniforms were uniquely designed for each cohort, making Ye Xuan, in his new disciple’s uniform, stand out among his senior brothers.
“Yes, I know,” Ye Xuan replied. “I’m here for the Foundation Building talisman. Is there a problem?”
“Uh...” The senior brother was visibly shocked. “You... you just entered the sect a few days ago, and you’ve already reached Enlightment?!!”
“Hahaha!!!” The surrounding senior brothers burst into laughter. “Fellow disciple, stop joking and go back to your own queue.”
It was unthinkable for someone, regardless of talent, to reach Enlightment in such a short time. A senior brother advised Ye Xuan, “Otherwise, you might become the laughingstock here.”
But his warning came too late. The Qi Gathering disciples turned their gazes towards Ye Xuan. “Look, Ye Xuan is queuing for the Foundation Building talisman.”
“Ye Xuan? Isn’t he the one without spiritual roots? Can’t be. I remember he’s smart and did well... How could he make such a mistake?”
“Hahaha...”
“Brother Ye Xuan, you’re in the wrong line! The Qi Gathering queue is over there!” shouted someone from the Qi Gathering line. The commotion naturally caught the attention of Dao Qin and the others.
They looked towards Ye Xuan’s queue, equally astonished. Was Ye Xuan in the wrong line?
Especially Elder Qingyan, seeing Ye Xuan in the Foundation Building queue, had an odd expression. Beside him, Elder Qingguang joked, “Qingyan, what’s with your disciple, getting this wrong? Didn’t he listen to the Sect Master’s speech?”
“Hmph!” Elder Qingyan snorted, “He’s not my disciple anymore; he’s now under Elder Qingxue.”
“Oh?!” Elder Qingguang burst into laughter, “Qingyan, you really are something. Lying without even a draft. It’s just a disciple’s mistake, no need for such far-fetched stories. Everyone knows Elder Qingxue never accepts disciples, let alone one without spiritual roots.”
“Hmph, you wouldn’t believe me if I told you,” Qingyan retorted, keeping quiet about Qingxue’s affairs with Ye Xuan – what if he was wrong?
“Brother Ye Xuan, this isn’t where you should be,” said Qin Yushou, approaching Ye Xuan with a smile. “Look, everyone’s laughing at you...”
“Everyone knows you have no spiritual roots. Even if you did, and even if you were exceptionally talented, it’s impossible to become a Enlightment disciple in just a few days. Just listen to your senior brother and don’t make a fool of yourself here.”
Haha, I thought Ye Xuan was smart, but he’s foolish, even queuing in the wrong place. And insisting he’s here for the Foundation Building talisman? What a farce! A clown!
Externally he was being polite, but inwardly, Qin Yushou was sneering. This was a chance to show off his good senior brother qualities to Yu Ling’er, who he assumed was also watching.
Indeed, Yu Ling’er was observing from the Spirit Insight queue.
Ye Xuan hadn’t expected to draw so much attention. In just a moment, everyone was looking and talking about him. Am I not a villain? Why is everyone focused on me? The focus should be on the protagonist, not the villain!
Without saying much, Ye Xuan simply activated his spiritual Qi. Instantly, his body emitted a dazzling golden light. Beautiful and stunning like starlight, this bright gold illumination was particularly conspicuous in a setting where no one else was displaying their cultivation.
The entire crowd was stunned. Spirit Insight?! How is this possible? Ye Xuan has no spiritual roots, right? Did we all get it wrong?!!
