In the scene, Ye Xuan mounted a fast horse and headed towards the Qingyu Temple. Urging his horse to go faster, he soon reached the mountain temple.
“Seeker Ye, why have you returned so soon?” Daoist Qingyu asked Ye Xuan.
“Daoist Master, my wife has been bewitched by an evil spirit!” Ye Xuan exclaimed.
“Oh?!!” Daoist Qingyu urged him to elaborate quickly.
Ye Xuan recounted everything he had witnessed and heard earlier.
“Hiss... I didn’t expect that, despite living a life of good deeds, Seeker Ye would encounter such misfortune. Your esteemed wife, I’m afraid, is entangled with a fox fetus,” Daoist Qingyu said after hearing the story.
“A fox fetus?” Ye Xuan asked. “What is that?”
“It’s a type of lazy fox spirit that prefers shortcuts to diligent cultivation,” Daoist Qingyu explained. “They practice a spell that allows them to reside in a woman’s womb, absorbing her vital energy daily, just like a baby. Eventually, the woman dies, and others only think it’s a case of ‘one corpse, two lives.'”
“Ah?!!” Ye Xuan was shocked. “What should I do? Please help, Daoist Master!”
“I can’t help,” Daoist Qingyu shook his head. “If I show up, the fox spirit will know her deception has been discovered. She will then threaten your wife’s life and refuse to leave.”

“Ah... Master Ye, you aren’t joking, are you?”
“Do I look like I’m joking? This worthless woman doesn’t deserve to bear my children. I only married her to enjoy a variety of pleasures.”

Seeing her like this, Ye Xuan almost showed a look of compassion. However, he steeled himself. “Won’t drink? Then I’ll make you drink!” Ye Xuan said as he forcibly opened Mo Qingxue’s mouth and poured the soup in.
Despite her resistance, she was no match for Ye Xuan and was forced to drink.
“No, don’t... please...” After Ye Xuan released her, Mo Qingxue desperately tried to spit out the soup, causing her throat to ache, but it was to no avail.
