"Ziwei Great Emperor, Longevity Emperor, Great God Fuxi, Earth Immortal Ancestor are all among the most formidable Highest Heavens in all the heavens, facing the Supreme Ones suppressed by the Tao Achievement, they should have a great chance of victory.
Perhaps... there's no need for me to take action?"
Such a thought flashed through Shen Yuan's mind.
The next moment, a dim Great Sun slowly rose in the land of the Western Pole.
The light of this Great Sun overwhelmed the Universe Constellation-illuminated firmament, the Yin-Yang divided Yin World, the path where Earth Immortals nurture myriad spirits, the path of eternal life that is neither living nor dead...
Where dusk touched, the orderly Luotian Realm began to quietly disintegrate, creatures upon the earth turned into chaotic information, disordered lines, all manifesting madness.
In this chaos, a monk in a dusky yellow robe came barefoot from the land of the Western Pole, with the Dusk Great Sun dharmachakra reflecting behind him, as if embodying the birth and death of all heavens and the silence of all things.
With each step, he traversed a heaven, a cycle of reincarnation, slowly stepping into this arena that caught the gaze of all beings.
"Greetings to you all!"
The monk's joined hands and gentle voice seemed to have no connection at all to the Supreme One causing havoc across the heavens.
Astride the chariot, clad in armor, Ziwei Great Emperor gazed solemnly at the monk, his grand voice echoing through the entire Luotian Realm.
"Mahavairocana, you ascend to Highest Heaven by upholding the Buddha's intention to universally enlighten beings. Yet now, for your personal desires, you wreak havoc upon the heavens, truly making a mockery of the title of Ancestor of all Buddhas!"
As he spoke, Ziwei Great Emperor's anger surged, and countless Universe Constellations fell like rain from the firmament, as if heralding the end of the world.
Mahavairocana is the Supreme One, at the Half-step Tao Achievement stage!
Shen Yuan's spirit was shocked, utterly surprised by the true identity of the Supreme One.
For in Shen Yuan's view, Mahavairocana and the Supreme One who disturbed the heavens and forced the Almighty Three Pure Ones to join hands in a scheme were completely unequal.
Although Mahavairocana is one of the Five Directional Buddhas of Buddhism, he is not the supreme sovereign of Buddhism. There are several Buddhas within Buddhism who are at the same level of achievement as Mahavairocana.
Placed among all the heavens, Mahavairocana should belong to the level of the Four Great Emperors, and although standing at the pinnacle of the heavens, he is far from being able to threaten the order of the heavens.
Yet it is Mahavairocana, one of the Five Directional Buddhas, who could take all heavens as his dao for the Tao Achievement ritual, stepping halfway into the realm of Tao Achievement and forcing the Almighty Three Pure Ones themselves to descend and lay out a trap, inviting him into the scheme.
The information revealed in this made Shen Yuan feel somewhat bewildered.
"You are quite mistaken, Great Emperor! The path I walk, the doctrine I expound, merely heralds an inevitable future.
If all heavens must eventually fall into disorder, how can one speak of causing havoc?"
The Dusk Great Sun illuminated all worlds, swallowing the falling Universe Constellations, his demeanor as if undisturbed by Ziwei Great Emperor's words.
Panning his gaze at the Highest Heavens in the arena, Mahavairocana said with a light laugh:
"The Almighty Three Pure Ones block my enlightenment in all heavens, intending to have me enter this Luotian Realm, to discuss our Tao with all Daoist friends here, hoping to use your Dao to break my Tao Achievement ritual.
In all the heavens, my spreading of this Tao has also faced obstruction from various quarters. Although I suppressed the powerful experts of all heavens with my strength and spread my doctrine, this was, after all, convincing by strength, not truly preaching to the heavens.
Since this is so, let's discuss the Great Tao with you all!"
As the last word fell, Great God Fuxi, holding the Innate Eight Trigrams, stepped forward, his voice deep:
"Let me be the one to meet you!"
Shen Yuan and the other Highest Heavens felt the world before them begin to change, beneath the Luotian Realm, a reflection of the Luotian Realm on the land of Yin World appeared within this arena.
After death, the souls of ordinary beings all go to the land of Yin World for rebirth, its Dao symbolizing the Great Tao of the cycle of life and death in heaven and earth.
In the middle of the arena, ethereal shadows started to appear on the body of Mahavairocana, as though an invisible giant hand was pulling his spirit soul into the Yin World to transform the True Spirits.
Shen Yuan could clearly sense that all Highest Heavens were suppressed under the Supreme Tao Achievement, only able to display the cultivation of the Tao Harmony Stage, but as all Highest Heavens wield the Great Tao Origin, even the Yin-Yang Reincarnation Path displayed at the Tao Harmony Stage could transform beings of all heavens.
Even Eternal Golden Immortals here would struggle to escape the fate of rebirth.
But facing Great God Fuxi's supreme technique, Mahavairocana only joined his hands and murmured softly:
"When chaos first divided, there was no distinction between Yin and Yang in heaven and earth, nor was there a path of reincarnation.
The so-called Yin-Yang Path, the path of rebirth, is nothing more than the desires of beings. In the face of the ultimate Tao of all the worlds, it is merely an illusion."
In an instant, the manifest Yin World within the Luotian Realm faded away, and reincarnation disappeared between heaven and earth.
"Ridiculous! The Reincarnation Path is the foundation for the existence of the heavens, how can it tolerate your doubt?"
Fuxi became furiously angry; with a turn of the Eight Trigrams Compass in his hands, a Yin-Yang Symbol that divided Yin and Yang manifested itself from the center of the Eight Trigrams.
Then Yin and Yang rotated, and the entire world seemed to invert invisibly.
Heavenly General Great Divine Power second technique—Yin-Yang Inversion!
The present world fell into the netherworld territory, all living beings shifted from life to death, and the Path of Reincarnation of life and death was exhibited to its utmost at this moment. Situated in the center of the Dao field, Mahavairocana descended into the Yin World without resistance, opening the wheel of reincarnation to guide the transition of spirits.
With a gaze as intense as a torch, Mahavairocana remained unaffected by the inversion of Yin and Yang, and behind him, the twilight Great Sun illuminated the netherworld territory of the Yin World.
"The so-called Path of Yin and Yang, the Path of Reincarnation, both emerge from the wishes of all living beings and stand on the foundation of order.
However, as all worlds are born and perish, even if the cycle of reincarnation continues in the netherworld, it too will eventually come to an end. This is a Dao that cannot be defied!"
Under the illumination of the twilight Great Sun, the Yin World, where life and death alternated, started to decay, and when all worlds collapsed, and all beings were utterly extinct, the netherworld territory also shattered at this moment—a deafening roar that could destroy the heavens and the earth swept across the skies, and the cycle of reincarnation returned to silence.
One by one, clear cracks spread from the Innate Eight Trigrams, fractures in Yin and Yang pierced Fuxi's body, nearly causing this great god to fall from the Tao Harmony Stage.
"I'm here!"
Ziwei Great Emperor shouted from his chariot, steering it into the center of the Dao field.
Around him, starlight twinkled, and star after star fell from the firmament to the ground, transforming into divine generals clad in armor standing behind Ziwei Great Emperor.
Navagraha Star Monarch, the twenty-eight constellations, the Heavenly General-Earthly Destroyer divine generals, the three hundred and sixty-five Universe Stellar Gods, and the countless stars of River Han's Stars all returned to their pantheon positions.
Among them, the Sun and the Moon were Highest Heaven Emperors, while the other seven Navagraha Star Monarchs were at the peak of being Eternal Golden Immortals.
The twenty-eight constellations had ascended to the Grand Stage. Heavenly General-Earthly Destroyer were at the stages of Heavenly Immortal and Earth Immortal. All Universe Stellar Gods were Human Immortals who had undergone calamity, and the countless stars of River Han listed in the Heavenly Court Immortal Register were divine immortals.
The Constellation Bureau, the first of The Eight Bureaus of Heavenly Court, revealed its foundation in this instant.
Such a scene astonished Shen Yuan; he was well aware that the gods of the Constellation Bureau in all the worlds had long since collapsed, and apart from Navagraha Star Monarch, the others had been devoured by the Thousand-Eyes Divine Monarch.
The monster capable of devouring an entire world now held sway over the Universe Constellation as the Lord of the Stars.
Although Ziwei Great Emperor seemingly no longer held the authority of the Constellation Bureau Master, he could still awaken the pantheon position of Universe star cluster, which greatly shocked him.
Just then, Shen Yuan's Great Tao Manifestation was unexpectedly stirred, and with See Through The Wall, he glimpsed something familiar about the Heavenly General essence on Ziwei Great Emperor.
That was... the third technique of Heavenly General Great Divine Power—Shifting Stars-Changing Constellations!
The gods of Constellation Bureau were not the authority of the bureau's master but the manifestation of the third great divine power of Heavenly General, the Great Tao Origin that was inscribed within all the worlds—the root source of the stars.
At this moment, although Ziwei Great Emperor still bore a skeleton appearance, with the following gods of the Constellation Bureau behind his chariot, his majesty seemed as if he had returned to the times when he was an unequaled emperor conquering all worlds.
"I have no interest in so-called continuation or reincarnation; the path I follow is the death of all worlds, the stars shall serve as a sacrifice to annihilate all beings!"
"Universe Stellar Gods, heed my command, exterminate the Buddha!"
All beings within the Luotian Realm were restricted to the Tao Harmony Stage, yet these star gods awakened by Ziwei Great Emperor using the root source of Universe Constellation were clearly not included.
One after another, divine immortals with terrifying auras made their descent to the Dao field, and even higher up, the presences of the sun and the moon broke through the limit of this realm, and an enormous hand cloaked the sun and moon, bearing down heavily toward Mahavairocana.
Ziwei Great Emperor pressured Mahavairocana with the aura of the Highest Heaven Realm.
Faced with such a crisis, Mahavairocana still had a smile on his lips and softly chanted:
"There is nothing everlasting in this world, even the sun and the moon will have their time to fade, this is the ultimate Dao."
His voice was gentle, and it seemed as though all the stars in the firmament froze in that instant.
The Great Sun aged rapidly and expanded until it burst in a supernova.
With the light of the Great Sun lost, the moon fell into an eternally cold space, plunging into silence.
In the starry sky, one star after another flickered briefly before extinguishing completely, leaving behind a desolate universe devoid of starlight.
An unseen darkness swallowed everything, and the universe moved towards its final collapse.
With the stars extinguished, even the universe itself fell into an eternal slumber.
"What is that?"
With his hands clasped together, Mahavairocana spoke with a smile:
"This is the ultimate path, its name is: Entropy!"
