Folding away the last secret missive, the dignified face of the elderly Emperor Xia was now fraught with changing expressions. His majestic voice slowly filled the Golden Throne Hall.
“In your view, is the incident in Fengdu a blessing or a calamity for our Great Xia?”
The Imperial Astronomical Bureau’s Superintendent bowed in respect, his face adorned with a rather delighted smile as he began to speak:
“Your Majesty, the upheaval in Fengdu City is naturally a hugely auspicious event for our Great Xia!”
“Oh?” Emperor Xia raised his eyebrows slightly, signaling the superintendent to continue.
“According to the information from the secret missives, it appears that the chaos within the Netherworld was manipulated by the 10th Hall Yama of the kingdom of Hell.
With such eminent figures involved, the Imperial Court’s previous arrangements were utterly ineffective. If the Court were to confront the turmoil in the Netherworld directly, it would undoubtedly result in a total loss.”
“Fortunately, there is discord within the Netherworld itself, with several Netherworld Commanders stepping forward to resist, and there is also an unknown powerful expert who has suppressed several Yamas, completely quelling the chaos this time.
Though we do not know the identity of this expert nor their attitude toward Great Xia’s Imperial Court, it is evident that this expert does not wish for the Primal Chaos Realm’s order between Yin and Yang to collapse. The Court can use this as a pretext to extend goodwill towards this expert and gain their favor.”
At this point, the Imperial Astronomical Bureau’s Superintendent paused, and with an open-right hand, two soul lamps appeared in his grasp.
The flames of the soul lamps shone dazzlingly, almost like two miniature suns, illuminating the interior of the Golden Throne Hall the moment they manifested.
Emperor Xia’s gaze sharpened: “What are these?”
“Your Majesty, these two soul lamps were left by my two disciples.”
The Superintendent continued, his words filled with emotion:
“They were sent by Your Majesty, carrying the Netherworld Treasure to negotiate with the 10 Netherworld Commanders in Fengdu City. Before they departed, to ensure their safety, I specially had them leave a bit of their soul fire to light these soul lamps.
Should they perish, the soul lamps will surely extinguish.”
“The turmoil in the Netherworld is complex and unpredictable, and I assumed my two disciples would be in danger. However, far from extinguishing, these soul lamps left behind have become increasingly brilliant over time.
This proves they have not only avoided the hardships of the Netherworld but have also gained substantial benefits, and the evolution of their Spirit Souls is proof of this.
Once the two envoys return to the Imperial Capital, we will be informed of what exactly happened in Fengdu City, and our Great Xia will have the opportunity to respond cautiously.
Even using them as intermediaries to establish a relationship with the Netherworld is not entirely out of the question.”
The words of the Superintendent eased the Emperor’s expression somewhat.
After some contemplation, Emperor Xia said in a deep voice:
“Once the two envoys return, they will be Great Xia’s heroes, and I shall personally bestow titles upon them!”
“As for the matter of Fengdu, I shall entrust it entirely to Marquis Zhennan and Minister of Ceremonies Xu.”
Shortly thereafter, imperial edicts flew out from the Golden Throne Hall, speeding towards Tai Province.
In Fengdu City, Shen Yuan gradually emerged from the state of merging with the Divinity Path.
Just moments before, he had completely pacified the rebellion of the 10th Hall Yama, gaining the recognition of all the supernatural beings in the Netherworld, as billions knelt and chanted the name of Emperor Fengdu.
As the bearer of the Emperor Fengdu’s incorporeal persona, Shen Yuan entered an extraordinarily remarkable state, merging with the Divinity Path network and Netherworld’s rules of the entire Tai Province territory.
In those few short breaths, Shen Yuan became the master of all in the Netherworld, gently restoring order between Yin and Yang with a wave of his hand, banishing the Ghost Objects that appeared in the Yang World, and even lifting Luoshan County from the Yin World up into the Yang World.
The months of chaos that the Netherworld unrest had planted in the entire Tai Province and the surrounding regions were perfectly resolved by Shen Yuan’s hand.
With this, the upheaval that had gripped the kingdom of Hell and the Primal Chaos Realm finally came to its ultimate conclusion.
Seated within the Emperor’s Carriage, Shen Yuan’s eyes were half-closed as he keenly felt the changes brought about by the previous moment of merging with Emperor Fengdu’s incorporeal persona and the Netherworld’s rules.
With his current level at the Spirit Transmutation Early Stage, he was fundamentally unable to control such power, even with the boon of Emperor Fengdu’s incorporeal persona.
This sovereign’s incorporeal persona was, after all, incomplete, and a forceful control over the Divinity Path and Netherworld rules would only recoil upon oneself.
Nevertheless, even those few breaths yielded great gains for Shen Yuan.
The merge of Netherworld rules with the Divinity Path propelled his Gods Purging Divine Power, which had reached the Peak Stage of the First Realm, to successfully break through and reach the Second Realm of Reaching Inner Hall Induction Level.
The flame within the Gods Purging Divine Power before his chest continuously assimilated, as a vast amount of Divinity Path information rapidly poured into Shen Yuan’s mind.
Previously, Shen Yuan had barely stepped into the Second Realm, relying on the support of the Mount Tai King’s throne. Although he could manipulate the Netherworld’s Divinity Path to complete the imperial summons, it was never complete.
Now having truly broken through, he had also ushered in an entirely new transformation for his Gods Purging Divine Power.
As his eyes slowly opened, an invisible pressure quietly spread out from within the Emperor’s Carriage, and his profound eyes seemed to reflect the fortunes of countless devotions upon the land of Tai Province.
The pathways of the Divinity Path and devotional fortunes presented before Shen Yuan became even clearer, and with a mere thought, all Divinity Path operations obeyed Shen Yuan’s will.
Were a Day Wandering God or Netherworld Commander to stand before Shen Yuan now, with his Second Realm Gods Purging Divine Power coupled with Emperor Fengdu’s incorporeal persona, a single thought could strip away the Netherworld Commander’s celestial seat and, with the Netherworld’s rules, cast the Day Wandering God into the 18 Levels of Hell.
Calming the tumultuous thoughts within, outside the Emperor’s Carriage, supernatural beings from the Netherworld led by the deity of the Six Heavens of Luo Peak still knelt on the ground.
