The Imperial Astronomical Bureau’s Superintendent, upon hearing these words, immediately realized that Shen Yuan held no grudges against him for his affront.
He let out a sigh of relief deep inside and quickly began to speak,
"The connection between the Dusk Realm and Great Xia was established at the onset of the Spirit Energy Tidal Surge when coincidentally, a great anomaly caused the Spirit Energy to return and the rules of the world to fluctuate. The Dusk Realm utilized special methods to open a crack during that time."
"At first, only some information was transferred, giving Great Xia a considerable advantage at the beginning of the Spirit Energy Tidal Surge."
"After that came some trade, such as the fragment of the Lang Huan Bibliotheca traded with the Lang Huan blessed land, and the ’Flesh Transmutation Technique’ practiced by the attendants in the palace which all came from the Dusk Realm."
"To quickly strengthen Great Xia’s power, Emperor Xia even exchanged for the blood of powerful experts from the Dusk Realm, which the attendants refined using the ’Flesh Transmutation Technique’."
"The consciousness of the experts contained within the blood took over the attendants’ bodies, thereby cultivating quickly-made Flesh Asuras with strength comparable to the Spirit Refining Early Stage."
"However, since the origins of these beings came from the Dusk Realm, which is rejected by the natural laws of our world, they could only be used under the cover of the Imperial Capital’s humanity fate."
With the Imperial Astronomical Bureau’s Superintendent, Great Xia’s second-ranking official, personally narrating, Shen Yuan gradually came to understand the Dusk Realm.
However, he did not receive much more in-depth information.
After gradually realizing the danger of the Dusk Realm, the superintendent had repeatedly opposed trades between Emperor Xia and the Dusk Realm, leading to an increasingly superficial relationship between the two leaders.
Until Shen Yuan stepped into the Imperial Capital, the superintendent advocated for easing relations with Shen Yuan, whereas Emperor Xia’s attitude became extremely rigid, bringing the discussions to a complete breakdown.
To control the cultivator forces of Great Xia, Emperor Xia even personally established the City God Ministry, attempting to present it as an equal to the Imperial Astronomical Bureau.
During the subsequent turmoil of the incense offering magic domain, the superintendent chose not to intervene, instead watching everything from the sidelines.
Only when the dust had settled did he once again visit Shen Yuan.
At this point, the superintendent hesitated for a moment then revealed a bitter smile as he explained,
"Actually, I have come to visit the Venerable Taoist this time and perhaps to intimidate him a bit with the Ancestral Immortal Artifact, asking the Venerable Taoist not to interfere too much with the power succession matters within Great Xia."
"Great Xia is a human Imperial Dynasty, and the Great Xia Emperor bears the title of Human Emperor, who should not be controlled by outsiders."
This was the superintendent’s original intent, but after witnessing Shen Yuan’s strength, he realized how naive his thoughts had been.
With such formidable power, whether Shen Yuan interfered in Great Xia’s internal power succession was entirely up to him; only the Fengdu Emperor’s personal involvement could prevent it.
Upon hearing these words, Shen Yuan gave the superintendent a somewhat strange look.
The superintendent had not personally intervened in this dispute, so he was unaware that Shen Yuan had already mastered the grand trend of humanity within the Imperial City.
Truth be told, Shen Yuan was ultimately the most qualified person to ascend to the Human Emperor’s throne in all the heavens and earth.
"There’s no need to provoke me with these words, I have no interest in controlling the Mortal Emperor or in taking charge of Great Xia."
But indeed, Shen Yuan really had little interest in concerning himself with these matters.
The path for Xia Yunqiu had already been paved; what came next was for her to walk it herself, as Shen Yuan did not wish to interfere with the affairs of Great Xia’s Imperial Court.
Rather than these trivial matters, the true threat came from the Dusk Realm and the false Clarity Void Exalted One which deserved his full attention.
The superintendent’s expression brightened.
As long as he had Shen Yuan’s words, the efforts of his visit today were not in vain.
Of course, understanding that Shen Yuan had compromised, the superintendent naturally knew how to respond.
"Please rest assured, Venerable Taoist, that the Heaven Traversing Princess, in the face of the Emperor’s outrageous policies, rose to oppose him and infiltrated the Imperial City, rescuing the gathered ministers and nobles."
"Moreover, facing the allied army of various sects, she held her ground without compromise, proving to be the greatest hero of the incense offering magic domain turmoil."
"The unanimous opinion of the assembled ministers and nobles is that the Heaven Traversing Princess should succeed the Human Emperor’s throne and take charge of government affairs."
His speech pausing briefly, the superintendent added one more piece,
"As for the various Princes and the Crown Prince, they should be sent to North Mang Mountain to guard the imperial mausoleum."
Shen Yuan set down the teacup in his hand.
"It should indeed be so."
Half a month hurried by.
The chaos brought about by the incense offering magic domain was rapidly quelled within this half-month period.
One after another, noble families were removed from their positions, and new emerging clans began to ascend the political stage.
In fact, as early as the third day after the incense offering magic domain chaos ended, the situation in the Imperial Capital had largely stabilized, and the civil and military officials collectively requested that Heaven Traversing Princess ascend the throne and become Emperor.
However, Xia Yunqiu did not immediately take the throne but chose this critical juncture to lead a military expedition.
Due to Emperor Xia’s repeated actions against the tide, which had already shaken the foundations of humanity’s fate, the protection of humanity’s fate over the many border cities began to retract.
Seizing this opportunity, numerous Demons’ Realms caused unrest, hoping to invade the secular lands and seize more territories.
Xia Yunqiu gave up the perfect opportunity to take the throne and chose to lead the troops on an expedition, repelling several Demons’ Realms’ invasions over tens of thousands of miles.
In this campaign against the Demons’ Realm, Xia Yunqiu single-handedly killed three great Spirit Transmutation demons and only then did everyone shockingly discover that this Heaven Traversing Princess had already reached the Peak of Spirit Transmutation, becoming a top Great Cultivator of this world.
Only Xia Yunqiu herself knew that after Shen Yuan quelled the incense offering magic domain chaos, she had received unanimous support from all levels of the Imperial Court, and her destiny had already climbed to the peak.
With such a colossal momentum and the assistance of the borrowing fortune methods from the Heaven Traversing Sect, she easily stepped into the Spirit Transmutation Peak realm.
If not for the limits of heaven and earth, she could have even broken through the Spirit Refining stage in one fell swoop.
With high-level cultivation, the Fire of Humanity, Great Xia army formation at her disposal in public, and the support of the Imperial Astronomical Bureau’s superintendent and Netherworld Demon Gods in secret, Xia Yunqiu naturally found it as easy as turning over her hand to pacify the Demons’ Realm.
In just twelve days, Xia Yunqiu returned victorious from repelling the Demons’ Realms from all directions, her humanity’s fate already reaching its peak.
This half-month of momentum-building, coupled with her bloody achievements, also gained the recognition of the Imperial Court and the public for this Heaven Traversing Princess.
As the triumphant army returned, the Imperial City had already prepared the imperial enthronement ceremony, which had now commenced.
Imperial City, at the base of the Sacrificial Heavenly Platform, the civil and military officials gathered.
And surrounding the platform, numerous cameras had already been directed towards this place, broadcasting the enthronement ceremony throughout Great Xia.
Dressed in black and gold imperial robes, Xia Yunqiu’s consecutive days of battling the Demons’ Realm added a sharpness and majesty to her originally elegant and noble temperament.
As she stepped onto the Sacrificial Heavenly Platform, humanity’s fate above the Imperial Capital swirled into a vortex, continuously feeding into the blazing Fire of Humanity within her.
Humanity’s fate burned at this moment, undergoing purification by the Fire of Humanity and beginning to establish a connection with her, as the will of humanity’s great tendency began to revive within her with each ascending step.
The majesty of a human Emperor quietly emanated from Xia Yunqiu, causing both the attending officials and the ordinary citizens watching the ceremony through video to feel a chill in their hearts.
In their eyes, it seemed as if they could see the will of a human Emperor gradually awakening within Xia Yunqiu, with a majesty even surpassing that of Emperor Xia.
Humanity’s fate continued to converge, the vast vortex nearly enveloping the entire Imperial City, and under the influence of royal destiny and the Emperor’s rank, even Shen Yuan felt a certain degree of suppression on his own great destiny.
As Xia Yunqiu ascended to the top of the Sacrificial Heavenly Platform, the converging great destiny began to stabilize.
If it had ended here, Xia Yunqiu would only be known as a human Emperor, but not the Mortal Emperor.
There can be countless human Emperors in the worlds, but the Mortal Emperor has always been singular.
At the peak of the Sacrificial Heavenly Platform, Xia Yunqiu held an ancient and weathered official seal, resembling a mere boulder.
This was the first Human Emperor’s official seal, which once possessed the power of Great Divine Skills during Ancient Times, but with successive great battles, it was shattered, turning into a symbolic boulder.
Even so, it remained an indispensable part of the enthronement ceremony.
Holding the official seal high, Xia Yunqiu proclaimed loudly to heaven and earth:
"Ordained by the people, may my reign last forever!"
In an instant, humanity’s resonance within the Primal Chaos Realm enabled all living beings to hear this declaration of the Human Emperor.
Outside the Primal Chaos Realm, among the barriers of the Great Schism, colossal cauldrons as vast as stars from the Giant Cauldrons of 9 Provinces appeared and disappeared, responding to the celestial phenomena of the Mortal Emperor’s return.
"Ding!"
Within the peaceful Lang Huan Garden, Shen Yuan, absent of the system prompt tone for a long time, opened the system interface.
