“As the heart of Ying Island, once Pingan Capital is successfully invaded, the effect will certainly far surpass a blood sacrifice of ten cities, and then the Lord Judge of Life and Death can descend upon the mortal realm!”
A supernatural being argued, “What if we fail to capture Pingan Capital?”
“If we can’t capture Pingan Capital, we’ll use several Ghost Cities as our base and vigorously attack the surrounding cities.
With Ghost Cities to rely on, we can advance or defend as needed, without any worry about a siege from the Sky High Plateau.”
The words of the Spirit Stalwart Ghost Immortal left the other gods and demons looking at each other in surprise.
They had suffered too many losses at Pingan Capital and were well aware of the strength of the gods from the Sky High Plateau and those four High Gods. If Pingan Capital could be so easily taken by force, they wouldn’t have spent so much effort contemplating it.
Yet, the analysis of the Spirit Stalwart Ghost Immortal was cogent and well-founded; Pingan Capital’s defences were weak at present, making it an opportunistic target.
If they could invade Pingan Capital, they would surely receive rewards from the 10th Hall Yama.
After continuous telepathic discussions in secret, the gods and demons looked at the Spirit Stalwart Ghost Immortal with admiration in their eyes.
This Spirit Stalwart Ghost Immortal, who descended to Yomotsu Hirasaka via a tributary of Hell a few months ago, might not have seniority compared to the other three, but his strategic planning far exceeded that of the three ghost immortals, making him an exceptional talent.
Even the Nine Yin Ghost Immortal was tempted, hesitating visibly.
The Spirit Stalwart Ghost Immortal quick to grasp the thoughts of the Nine Yin Ghost Immortal, spoke up with a change in tone:
“If you all still have concerns, then for the time being, we can dispatch more troops to Pingan Capital to see if we can force out those four High Gods.
If the High Gods are not in the Sky High Plateau, it will be enough to prove that the main forces of the Sky High Plateau have already headed to the outer regions of Ying Island, leaving behind only minor characters here.”
Seeing a gleam of bright understanding in the eyes of the Nine Yin Ghost Immortal, he scanned the supernatural beings present and spoke:
“Kuwang, Huaidao, Youxuan... you nine gods and demons, go to the battlefield of Pingan Capital and press the gods from the Sky High Plateau, and make sure to draw out those Four High Gods!”
“Yes!”
The responding voices rang out, and then waves of Hell surged, a nearly tangible tributary projection rushing down towards the battlefield of Pingan Capital, with one Tao Harmony Realm ghost immortal and eight Void Refining spirits and demons joining the fray.
Takemikazuchi, who was fighting two against one on the battlefield, nearly popped his eyes out as he saw that rushing projection of Hell’s tributary and the sudden arrival of numerous powerful spirits and demons.
He could manage seven Void Refining spirits and demons within their capability, but now not only had the number of Void Refining spirits and demons doubled, there was also a powerful Tao Harmony Realm ghost immortal, enough to overturn the current situation of the battle.
“Scram!”
Takemikazuchi bellowed, his thunder drum sending down several divine thunders to repel two Void Refining spirits and demons, then transformed into a bolt of lightning in an attempt to flee.
“Trying to leave?”
The sinister voice echoed, the atmosphere pooling with the aura of the dark Hell; a huge ghost hand over hundred miles long slammed down, shaking the ground as if the whole of Pingan Capital would be decimated under that one palm.
As fear for his life arose, Takemikazuchi knew he could rely on his authority to restrain the Hell specters and fight against two, but the difference in realms between Void Refining and Tao Harmony meant such authoritative constraints were meaningless.
Previously on the battlefield, the appearance of a Tao Harmony Realm spirit and demon would have been handled by the Four High Gods.
However, up against spirits and demons of the same realm, Takemikazuchi, by leveraging his innate divine authority, had never faced any threats and was always victorious.
But now faced with a life-and-death crisis, Takemikazuchi realized that the battlefield wasn’t just about evenly matched fights; those powerful gods and demons of the Tao Harmony Realm could strike at local deities of a lower realm.
In front of a Tao Harmony Realm ghost immortal, even he was utterly powerless.
Suddenly, Takemikazuchi began to regret sending away the four High Gods. If they were presiding over the battlefield, he would have never found himself under such a threat.
The thunder drum shattered, and his divine body crumbled under the ghost hand. Takemikazuchi, even transformed into lightning, couldn’t escape from the palm of the ghost hand and in his dire straits, he could only cry out loudly:
“Father God, save me!”
“Hmph!”
An angry voice resounded above the Sky High Plateau, and in an instant, the whole sky collapsed, space shattered, and vast laws were extinguished in the void as a spatial storm swept through, engulfing the huge ghost hand.
The portion of the sky, which looked like a shattered mirror, became as a grave burying that massive ghost hand.
With Divine Skills easily crushed, and even the spatial grave affecting their true body, the Tao Harmony Realm ghost immortal Kuwang suffered a backlash that left a crack in his spectral body.
But under the wash of Hell’s tributary projection, the crack in the spectral body was quickly mended, leaving not a trace behind.
This showcases the formidable power of Hell’s tributary projection: within it, not only can one bypass the suppression of the world and wield the formidable might of the Tao Harmony Realm, but Hell’s waters also regenerate the wounds of spirits and demons, nourishing them back to strength.
“Is it you!”
The withered delusion’s supernatural being’s eyes were piercing; he had clearly recognized the identity of Izanagi, one of the most powerful deities in Sky High Plateau, second only to Amaterasu.
He was already less powerful than Izanagi, and with Izanagi having the home-field advantage, he found it even harder to contend with him.
Izanagi stood atop Sky High Plateau, looking down indifferently at the withered delusion’s supernatural being below:
“You should leave sooner rather than later; Pingan Capital is not a place for you to defile!”
Facing Izanagi, the withered delusion’s supernatural being showed no sign of worry. Upon hearing Izanagi’s words, he instead revealed a smile as if to say, ‘Just as expected.’
“If Izanagi is at an advantage and still advising me to leave voluntarily, it must mean that if the four High Gods were present, they would have surely descended onto the battlefield to besiege me by now instead of delaying until only Izanagi-no-Mikoto himself appears.”
This alone was proof that the four High Gods and the other deities of Sky High Plateau had already gone to the outer battlefield!
With his mind made up, the withered delusion’s supernatural being shouted loudly:
“Today is the day we, the gods and demons, will take over Pingan Capital!”
As his voice fell, before Izanagi could react, the projection of Hell’s tributary stirred up shocking waves, and one by one, powerful supernatural beings revealed their true forms outside the battlefield of Pingan Capital.
Izanagi’s pupils suddenly constricted as he cried out, “Are you trying to trigger a great war?”
The supernatural beings did not reply, as the surging tides were already rushing towards the top of Sky High Plateau.
Inside Yomotsu Hirasaka, the Nine Yin Ghost Immortal manipulated Hell’s tributary, sending a total of thirty-eight Void Refining spirits and demons and seven Tao Harmony gods and demons into the battlefield of Pingan Capital.
Apart from the Hell specters that were continuously surging towards the outer battlefield, only four Ghost Immortals, temporarily unable to appear in the world, and five Tao Harmony supernatural beings remained within Yomotsu Hirasaka.
As another wave swept away a Tao Harmony supernatural being, fatigue began to show on the face of the Nine Yin Ghost Immortal.
Controlling the projection of Hell’s tributary to transport so many powerful gods and demons had pushed the Nine Yin Ghost Immortal to his limit. Yet four Tao Harmony supernatural beings still hadn’t gone to the battlefield.
Seeing the situation, the Spirit Stalwart Ghost Immortal stepped forward and offered:
“Take a break, Nine Yin supernatural being. I will send the remaining four Tao Harmony gods and demons to the mortal world.”
Grateful for the offer of assistance, the Nine Yin Ghost Immortal immediately smiled and nodded in agreement.
“Then, thank you—”
“Thud!”
A sharp blade pierced into the body of the Nine Yin Ghost Immortal at the moment the two ghosts and demons drew close; drained of mana, the Nine Yin Ghost Immortal could not defend himself and allowed the dagger to penetrate his body, causing his ghost immortal body to collapse with a thunderous crash.
“Who are you!”
The Nine Yin Ghost Immortal, after all, was a mighty being who had ascended to the Immortal Realm, and he quickly reacted, transforming into a wisp of smoke that flew dozens of miles away.
Manifesting his damaged ghost immortal body again, the Nine Yin Ghost Immortal looked at the Spirit Stalwart Ghost Immortal with an ugly expression on his face.
The two supernatural beings within the tributary of Hell immediately realized what had happened and materialized their true forms, staring angrily at the Spirit Stalwart.
“Me?”
A mocking smile appeared on the face of the Spirit Stalwart Ghost Immortal.
He leisurely pointed his finger at his forehead, and his imposing figure gradually turned into a deity with the body of a human and the head of a bull.
“Netherworld Commander Bull Head!”
“Zhoujue Yin Heavenly Palace!”
“You come here alone; are you seeking death?”
Bull Head gave no response, turning instead to a hidden spatial coordinate, bowing deeply into the emptiness as he said:
“Greetings, Your Majesty, the Fengdu Emperor!”
The next moment, the boundary between reality and illusion was torn asunder by an invisible giant hand, crushing the storms of the void with rolling chariot wheels, descending into Yomotsu Hirasaka.
