Sword One single-handedly rescued Nangong Weiyang, and with two swords heavily injured Wei Wuya, once again igniting the Yunzhou Martial World, sparking a grand frenzy, causing waves throughout the Martial World.
Primarily, during this time,
there were simply too many major events in the Yunxi Martial World,
The turmoil of the Righteous and Demon Dao battle hadn’t yet subsided, and Gu Zhan’s name as God of Slaughter was still circulating, still amazing countless people, making him directly overshadow the entire younger generation.
However, the aftermath of the Righteous and Demon Dao battle was still ongoing,
The Qianyu Sect Leader, Chen Xuannong, died; he was killed in collusion with the Demon Dao by Qianyu Sect Young Sect Leader Nangong Weiyang, one of Yunzhou’s top ten experts, a true giant.
In the past, this would definitely have been a major event in the Martial World,
But, first there was the Righteous and Demon Dao battle, and then there was Sword One’s brave fight against half of Yunzhou Martial World, which instead made Chen Xuannong’s death seem less significant.
However, Sword One’s performance in the battle at Great Desert City indeed caused a sensation in the entire Martial World.
First, there was Gu Zhan’s solo effort lifting half of the Righteous Dao’s prestige; many were still lamenting that Gu Zhan was truly the number one person of the younger generation, unmatched and far ahead.
However, this claim hadn’t yet gained widespread recognition,
Sword One once again proved to the world,
that there are differences among prodigies,
And demon-level prodigies are never weaker than others!
With two swords, he heavily injured Wei Wuya, and with one person and one sword, he killed through the siege of over ten thousand Martial World members, crucially protecting a heavily injured Nangong Weiyang.
Although the quality of experts he killed didn’t reach the terrifying level of Gu Zhan, only a few Grandmasters, after all, his situation was considerably more perilous than Gu Zhan’s during the Righteous and Demon Dao battle, and he has the achievement of heavily injuring Wei Wuya in the midst of a siege.
For a time, the debate over who was stronger between Sword One and Gu Zhan sparked a wave of controversy in the Martial World.
Some believed Gu Zhan was stronger, because Gu Zhan’s achievements in the Righteous and Demon Dao battle were tremendous, without rumors of being injured, and Gu Zhan also mostly fought alone, with the accomplishment of annihilating the Illusionary Sound Sect.
Others believed Sword One was stronger,
Because Sword One has the solid achievement of facing a Supreme Grandmaster in a siege and winning, which was former Yunzhou’s number one expert Wei Wuya, who has now receded to second place due to Mo Jingzhou’s Bright Moon Gorge battle, Wei Wuya who has held Yunzhou Martial Arts’ number one position for decades.
But the dissenters didn’t agree with this viewpoint, since insiders revealed that Gu Zhan also once had an encounter with Wei Wuya that ended evenly, and held a steady advantage, the reason it wasn’t as indisputable as Sword One was just the lack of opportunity to face a Supreme Grandmaster.
For a period of time,
the debate over who was stronger between Sword One and Gu Zhan stirred up a significant wave of controversy in the Martial World.
And amidst this debate,
Yunzhou’s largest three Martial World news agencies seized upon this trend, updating the Grandmaster List, once again igniting the wave, burning it to the extreme, even directly provoking a shouting match, many second- and third-tier Martial World news agencies began to curse at the three first-tier ones.
Because during this news agency conference,
The three leading Martial World news agencies didn’t discuss with numerous news agencies as in the past, but directly set the Grandmaster List, however, those second- and third-tier Martial World news agencies could only grumble, not daring to truly question the leading ones.
Because they all understood,
Among so many Martial World news agencies in Yunzhou, the ones that were once tremendously popular were many, but ultimately after the sands sifting out, only these three remain, and these three often openly comment on giant Grandmasters and such figures, daring to teasingly talk about these giants’ romantic exploits, yet still exist without any incidents occurring.
The main reason, everyone knew,
The three first-tier news agencies, all had involvement from Yunxi’s Five Great Sects, you could even say, they were directly tinkered with by those Five Great Sects, with considerable Super First-class Influence also having personnel in place, therefore they dared to be so brazen.
And this time’s arranging of the Grandmaster List,
was quite interesting,
creating an unprecedented phenomenon in Yunzhou over the past few hundred years, with two of the top ten experts being under thirty years old.
Ranked first was still the Dragon King Mo Jingzhou,
His battle at Bright Moon Gorge, for now, made it difficult for anyone to surpass his accomplishments, directly deciding the outcome of the Righteous and Demon Dao battle with personal efforts, regardless of how much truth there was in it, as long as he lives one more day, he is unquestionably the number one, no one can challenge.
And ranked second, was Sword One, one of the main figures causing the shouting match in today’s Martial World.
This was also the reason why many people cursed the heads of the three news agencies. According to the Grandmaster List’s rules, those from the Demon Dao can’t be ranked, and currently, although Sword One has a famed name, the Martial World unanimously considered him already a Fallen Demon, being a demon that everyone curses.
Yet the Grandmaster List actually ranked him, even blatantly gave him a nickname—Sword Demon!
This completely violated the initial intent of the Grandmaster List.
However, the explanation from the news agencies was that various lists just don’t rank Demon Dao members, yet Sword One, although having Fallen Demon, temporarily had no evidence proving he had any collusion with the Demon Dao, Falling Demons and Demon Dao are two separate matters.
This explanation,
naturally provoked resistance from many.
However, aside from this reason for resistance, there was another reason,
The news agencies placed God of Slaughter Gu Zhan in seventh place, far behind Sword One.
Currently, in Yunzhou,
The ones in the limelight the most are undoubtedly Gu Zhan and Sword One, many are still arguing over who is stronger between them, yet the news agencies went ahead, directly setting it, setting it might as well, but if Gu Zhan and Sword One were directly after one another it would still be reasonable,
