Only Got My Martial Arts Modifier in My Old Age
Chapter 289: Chapter 150: Gong Family’s Great Calamity! Gong Ning’s Mortal Peril???
The force of the first palm strike was like a tidal wave crashing ashore, blasting directly toward Gong Yue Xue. The second palm followed close behind, cutting off Gong Lin’s path of retreat at a cunning angle.
The third, fourth, and fifth palm strikes followed... The assault was ceaseless and layered, as if a thousand hands were attacking from all directions at once.
Even more terrifying was the force projected from the palms, which howled through the air from dozens of feet away. The very air was torn asunder, letting out a sharp shriek.
The green bricks paving the floor shattered under the aftershocks of the palm force, sending debris flying everywhere.
Unwilling to be outdone, Gong Yue Xue and Gong Lin both let out a furious roar and unleashed the full power of their stolen bodies without hesitation.
They both simultaneously executed the Wandering Dragon Eight Trigrams Palm. The force of their palms carved two sharp arcs through the air, one from the left and one from the right, before viciously colliding with Gong Jue’s palm force.
In mid-air, eight dragon-shaped torrents of Qi collided thunderously with the palm force of the two Possessors.
A series of muffled booms erupted, shaking the entire hall. Shockwaves roiled from the collision, sending dust raining from the beams and pillars. Tables and chairs were overturned as teacups and porcelain shattered across the floor.
Immediately after, Gong Jue’s figure spun in mid-air, her aged body displaying astonishing flexibility and explosive power.
She used the recoil to flip through the air, unleashing a continuous chain of palm strikes. Another eight blasts of palm force rained down from above, their momentum even more overwhelming than before.
Gong Yue Xue and Gong Lin could only grit their teeth and receive the blows. The force was so great that the green bricks beneath their feet shattered inch by inch, and their bodies involuntarily sank lower.
But they were Mid-stage Grandmasters of Huajin, after all. Bolstered by the reckless abandon of demonic possession, they managed to withstand this round of attacks.
The two looked up simultaneously, a vicious glint flashing in their eyes. They struck with both palms, and their Qi surged skyward once more.
For a time, the hall was filled with flickering palm shadows and crisscrossing streams of Qi. Three figures darted and weaved through the swirling winds and flying debris, every clash of their palms erupting in a visible shockwave.
Fighting two against one, Gong Jue showed no signs of being at a disadvantage. In fact, she only grew more ferocious as the battle raged on.
Gong Yuanshan and the other two Elders were forced to retreat repeatedly. They all circulated their Qi for protection, but, without exception, their eyes were filled with sheer horror.
However, as the Gong Family’s only Late-stage Grandmaster of Huajin Elder, Gong Jue’s palm force eventually smashed through the defenses of Gong Yue Xue and Gong Lin, the two Mid-stage Grandmasters of Huajin.
The eight phantom dragons, formed of True Qi, suddenly merged into one. A single, colossal, dragon-shaped wave of palm force roared forward and slammed into its targets.
Before this terrifying power, the defensive Qi barrier that Gong Yue Xue and Gong Lin had jointly erected shattered inch by inch as if it were made of paper, their own Qi scattering in all directions.
Once their defenses were broken, Gong Jue’s palm force seemed to have grown eyes, striking both of them with precision.
The palm force grazed Gong Yue Xue’s aged face, brutally shearing off a patch of skin from her left cheek. The stark white of her cheekbone was exposed as blood instantly gushed out, streaming down her face and dripping onto her white robes.
But it wasn’t over. Gong Yue Xue’s right shoulder was an even more gruesome sight. After taking several more hits from the palm force, her shoulder blade was shattered into pieces. The area was a mangled mess of flesh and blood, and her entire arm was left attached by only a flap of skin.
Gong Lin, at her side, was no better off. Several of Gong Jue’s palm strikes had sliced diagonally into his side, with one blast tearing off his left arm and right leg.
This caused Gong Lin to lose his balance completely, and he collapsed crookedly onto the ground.
For any ordinary Martial Artist, such injuries would have been incapacitating, if not instantly fatal.
However, at that very moment, a bizarre scene unfolded. Gong Yue Xue and Gong Lin began to display a regenerative power that should have been impossible for any human Martial Artist.
At the edges of their wounds, new flesh began to squirm and grow at a visible rate. The strands of tissue then densely intertwined, attempting to knit the wounds shut.
On Gong Yue Xue’s face, where the flesh had been stripped away, newly grown tendrils of flesh writhed like tiny worms at the wound’s edge. They bit by bit filled in the missing tissue, the speed of their growth chilling to the bone.
From the stump of Gong Lin’s severed arm, flesh extended madly outward. Bone slowly regrew, enveloped by the new tissue, while sinews and veins intertwined and connected like vines. It was as if a new arm was materializing out of thin air.
The same was happening to his severed leg; layers of new flesh piled up as crimson tissue slowly covered the white bone.
The scene was so grotesque it made one’s skin crawl. It was as if they weren’t human at all, but merely lumps of self-repairing, rotten meat.
Only at this moment did Gong Yuanshan and the others finally confirm what they were seeing. This was the self-healing ability possessed only by the Outer Celestial Demons.
The ancestral texts of the Gong Family recorded such things: an Outer Celestial Demon at the level of a Grandmaster of Divine Intent possessed an immortal body and the Black Water Divine Techniques, making them nearly impossible to kill.
Those at the Grandmaster of Huajin Realm or below, while not possessing a heaven-defying ability like an immortal body, still had incredible powers of regeneration.
An ordinary Martial Artist could only endure their injuries and wait. A small cut would take a long time to scab over. Yet these two monstrous things before him could recover almost halfway in the span of a few breaths. ’This fucking power... it’s not something a human should have!’
Gong Yuanshan’s eyes instantly turned red. He stared fixedly at the two familiar yet alien bodies before him. ’The Sixth Elder and the Seventh Elder, whom I’ve respected since I was a child... their bodies have been possessed by Outer Realm Evil Demons.’
"You beasts deserve to die!" Gong Yuanshan roared. The Qi in his body erupted violently, his robes billowing out like sails as the green bricks beneath his feet shattered and flew in all directions.
